Al was our server, he was informative and attentive, our appetizer came out super quick and our entrees came out as soon as we were finished with the appetizer. Food was delish. I was nervous at first bc there was only steps to get in but there was a secret door with a ramp for people with mobility issues or people with strollers. It was so much bigger in the inside than I expected and it was all windows so it was bright and cheery. Overall a great experience. We will be back

Good spot at Foxwoods, especially for families, but I'm coming back without a kid next time! Nothing super standout for a lunch spot, but still had some sparkle. Came here for a kid's birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. We paid the upcharge for the birthday sundae, and at $25, it was honestly a steal compared to places like Sugar Factory. The presentation made the kid happy, which is all that matters. Food: I ordered the kid's steak, and let me tell you, the portion was no joke. Plenty of food, cooked well, and super kid-friendly. The fries were the real standout: three different types of fries in one basket. Fry-lovers, this is your moment. I got the chili and cornbread for myself. The chili was solid and comforting. The cornbread was just okay, but you could tell it wasn't the freshest batch. Drinks: I only ordered a Diet Coke, so I can't speak on the cocktails, but the menu looked fun enough that I made a mental note to come back and try a few when I'm not in full "birthday chaperone" mode. Ambiance & Service: Ambiance was great for a lunch crowd, kind of lively but not chaotic. Our server was fantastic, friendly, and attentive without hovering. Everything felt organized and smooth, even with a big kid in tow. Bottom line: This is officially on my list of places to come back to at the casino when I'm not with a kid. The menu has enough variety that I'd happily return just to try more dishes. Good food, good service, and a surprisingly easy spot for a birthday lunch at Foxwoods.

I came solo on a weekend day to catch a quick lunch. I sat at the bar and was quickly served my drinks. I ordered the veggie burger and house fries. The fries were perfectly fried and a fun mixture of French and waffle fries. Seasoned well. The veggie burger was plentiful and flavorful. A bit mushy on the veggie Pattie but that is expected for a meatless patty. The restaurant seating has a nice view of the gambling floor. It is well lit and a fun atmosphere . Price wise, it's on the high side, but for a casino restaurant it is reasonable. The menu is chock full of heavy comfort food. Besides salads it's hard to find healthy options - but they are open to menu tweaks to satisfy needs. Definitely a place to check out!

Came to try this spot while at the casino resort. I've watched nearly all the episodes and tried many of the places from it so I thought it'd be cool to try Guys signature restaurant. Unfortunately. It wasn't all it's cracked up to be. The food was middle of the road in taste and variety but expensive. The server was quirky but provided decent service, the vibe was loud and less than pleasurable. I don't think it's worth what you pay for this spot. You can have a better experience for less money and better food.

    THE BIG GUY

Front desk was snobby and rude, like we were shit on her shoe. Service was awful; waitresses were rude and sharp with us. Nachos were really nice. The buffalo egg rolls were ugh--okay, not much filling. The burgers--well, a McDonald's Big Mac has more flavour and seasoning. All in all, for a bill that was nearly $200 for two of us, fast food would have been money better spent. I gave it one star because of the service, but also because for the amount of money charged, the food has to be better than this.

We went for lunch on a Saturday and everything was perfect. I had the chicken sandwich that was bursting with flavor, fries that were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The buffalo chicken egg rolls are a must. The biggest compliment I can give was how cold the beer was. Absolutely awesome!

I expected more from my meal, the pulled pork was dry and no seasoning. The French fries were delicious. The salad wasn't anything special .... Just a salad. The staff was very pleasant.

Been multiple times. Recommend getting a reservation. Portion size is large and food id delicious. My date is a picky eater and even heavier was happy.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at Guy's despite the hostess not looking happy to see us. It was not a good first impression. The wait staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to offer good customer service. We started with the Buffalo Cauliflower. It was tasty and a little crispy in a good way. The star of the show was the steak and cheese sandwich in a pretzel bun. So good! We also tried the signature bbq chicken tenders topped with onion straws. We enjoyed them also. On a side note, they were great for leftovers the next day!

My son wanted to come to this restaurant . Due to personal self I don't care for Guy fieri.... But I did give the restaurant four stars (not based on my personal not liking him. Lol. ) Also it got four stars because it didn't use Canadian dry ginger ale and it used schweppes lol Actually it was kind of a funny story. My son took a sip and then had me take a sip and I was like that is schweppes lol .. The restaurant is very nice and set up... Our server did a wonderful job. He was very down to earth very casual, which I really appreciated because it does look like it's a fancier restaurant and it's at the casino but our server was awesome. I feel like one reason why I gave four stars for my whole overall experience at this restaurant was at the menu wasn't clearly labeled what was gluten-free non-gluten-free so we like to play that guessing game which totally sucks. They did end up making my dish gluten free. What I call it this food flavor town like he says it is as the new generation say it's mid. I mean it was good tasting. It just wasn't as he like overreacts on his TV shows about how everything was so flavorful and juicy.. My son ordered the Mack Daddy, mac and cheese... The only thing he didn't care for was that there was a lot of breadcrumbs on it...‍ But he did enjoy it I ordered the motley que pulled pork Sandwich there are gluten-free rolls available.... But I opted to just have it off of the roll and I had to make sure that there was no crispy onion. I also got the side salad over the portions were were nice and large for the price points.

One had a steakhouse burger which she really liked as well and we split Shed Fries and Sweet Potato fries. All was delicious. I knocked one star off because we all really felt the burgers should have come with fries as opposed to a pickle spear and coleslaw. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. I had four dishes that I will describe below. Carolina Hush Puppies ($8) - These came with jalapeno-honey butter, which was what drew me initially, but they did not need them at all. There was five extremely large hush puppies, and they were some of the best, if not the best, I ever had. They were perfectly fried with tons of flavor. The butter was tasty, but as mentioned, not needed at all. Deviled Farm Eggs ($8) - There were four present and they were topped with a homemade chili crunch. These were solid. I thought the chili crunch would be spicier, but there was a nice slight crisp factor with the crunch present. Old Bay Macaroni Salad ($6) - This was a traditional macaroni salad with a hint of old bay. The macaroni was cooked ideally, and the touch of old bay was a different seasoning to use. Chopped Salad ($19) - This had romaine lettuce, roasted carrots, avocado, pickled red onion, cornbread croutons, bell peppers, feta cheese, and pulled rotisserie chicken, with a green goddess dressing. This was very big with a ton of all of the ingredients. They appeared all fresh and paired nicely with one another. I thought the dressing was a little light and actually could have used more flavor. The cornbread croutons were unique and stood out. Will I go back? Yup.

Our drinks came out, but mine was extremely sweet and had an odd smell and taste, almost like what I would imagine a Band-Aid would taste like. Although it was supposed to have a mix of ingredients, all I could taste was pineapple juice. I only took one sip and left the drink untouched. We also noticed that one utensil was dirty, with a chunk of dried food still stuck to the knife. We placed it in front of us expecting one of the servers to notice and replace it, but no one ever did. After a little over an hour, no one had checked on us, asked how the drinks were, apologized for the wait, or updated us on our food. We could not get the servers' attention because they rarely looked in our direction. When we finally got someone's attention and asked what was going on, we were told the food was coming soon. We explained that no one had checked on us, my drink was clearly untouched, and the dirty utensil had still not been taken away. At that point, we said we just wanted to pay for the one drink and leave. The server said they were swamped and implied the delay was because we ordered the burger well done. I explained that I have made and ordered well-done burgers before, and it should not take over an hour without any communication. If a well-done burger takes that long, customers should be told ahead of time so they can decide whether they still want to order it. Both bartenders seemed annoyed rather than genuinely apologetic, which made the experience even worse. The lack of communication, dirty utensils, poor service, and disappointing drink made this a horrible experience overall. Sadly, we will not be returning. It is surprising as Gordon Ramsay is known on television for holding restaurants to such high expectations, but when we visited his restaurant, it was clear those same standards were not being followed.

On a visit to Mystic, I could not wait to find a restaurant that served more seafood than I could easily settle on. Sitting in the Mystic Marriott lobby, yelp pointed us to the Captain Daniel Packer Inne. What a find. Although the building was restored in 1979, it's origin dates to 1756. Everything seems to have been preserved -including the aura. As you would expect with a building older than the signing of the Declaration of Independence, it is small in size but large in hospitality. Without reservations, we did not stand much of a chance in the upstairs dinning area, but a flight of stairs down to the pub in the cellar... and we were seated in 20 minutes. For appetizers, we had the phyllo dough lobster lollipops and an order of artichoke hearts that were resting in a light lobster sauce (the artichoke that is) that invited us to soak up what was left with the delicious homemade bread we were served. For our main course we had the halibut steak that was sitting on top of freshly mashed potatoes with a smattering of fresh corn kernels. The customer service attendants were mindful of their tables and visited at opportune times. -Not when you start to take a bite and never did we wonder where they might have gone off to. Parking was a bit of a challenge but by far worth the hunt. If you are looking for a very friendly restaurant with a historical beginning and great food... Look no further. Parking is always tricky, but we got a good spot in the lot and were very happy. The wait for the table was maybe 10 minutes which was not too bad. The waitress was very good and she took care of our water, drinks, and bread right away. The place was busy but we really were pleased with the service! I ordered the fish and chips. Most of the table ordered a steak, veggie, and mashed potatoes. Truffle fries was the appetizer that landed on my end of the table. They were not my favorite. Those who had the steak seemed happy with the meal. Both of us who had the fish and chips were not happy with the meal. We had fish and chips at Steak Loft the night before- and they did not compare. They were perfect. The order I had at Daniel Packard were heavy and filling but I was missing the light tempura batter, the crunch and soft fresh fish, and the great tartar sauce that is the standard for fish and chips! I didn't take my leftovers which is not the norm for me. I'll swing by in the winter for a pint in front of the fire no doubt, but I think another dinner is not in my future.

The service was okay while the food came out in a timely manner. I liked that some of the fish items listed the fishing vessel on the menu. Three appetizers were ordered which consisted of a beet pickled deviled egg ($4 each), chilled oysters (Half Dozen $18), and the local fluke crudo ($17). The egg had a crispy clam strip and espelette pepper. This was solid. I thought the clam strip was a little too overpowerful given the size of that and the egg. The pickled beet egg was interesting, and I liked how the filling was also under the egg, so the egg did not move. The Riverhawk oysters were fresh and tasty. The mignonette was simple and paired well. The crudo had an herb mayo, pickled ramps, kelp crisp, and pickled sugar kelp. This was alright. It seemed like fennel or a similar type of herb was used in one of the pickling items, which took over a little bit. The kelp crisp was nice and paired well with the fluke. For an entrée, I had the local scup a la plancha ($37). It came with Marshall Cove mussels, fondant potato, English peas, and a saffron emulsion. This was a nice sized portion. I thought the saffron emulsion was key and went together with everything else on the plate. The mussels were fresh again, and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. It was a well-done dish, but the use of scup made it feel more modest, but maybe that was the point, so what do I know? I also tried the scallop dish that came with green crab crispy rice, chili crispy, and a garlic aioli. The rice was very crispy, and it reminded me of a traditional hibachi rice, but elevated. The scallops had a perfect cook to them too. For dessert, the oyster ice cream ($10) was tried. It had to be tasted when it was on the menu. It had a slight briny flavor, but nothing too overpowerful. The ice cream itself was very creamy with a nice texture. I believe Greek yogurt was used, which probably helped with the oyster flavor that was incorporated. Will I go back? Sure.

Food was good, not a fan of the cheese plate, but my husband loved it. Everyone's meal was really good we all enjoyed it, our waitress serving us was fantastic. We had to do a quick in and out as we were running late to meet our other kid. Recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

A Mystic staple with heart, hops, and hearty Irish fare…read more Friar Tuck's Tavern is one of those Mystic spots that just feels right the moment you walk in. The beer selection is always solid--plenty of familiar favorites plus a few rotating picks that keep things interesting without overwhelming you with choices. The Irish‑leaning menu is where they really shine. Comfort classics, generous portions, and that cozy pub vibe that makes you want to settle in for a while. Whether you're craving something hearty or just need a plate to go with your pint, they've got you covered. Live music adds a great energy without drowning out conversation, and the staff deserves a shoutout--they're faithful, friendly, and keep the place humming even on busy nights. You can tell they care about the regulars and newcomers alike. Not quite a perfect five, but absolutely a Mystic go‑to when you want good beer, good food, and a warm pub atmosphere. Cheers

This is a small eatery (I counted max 39 seats between tables and the bar) with difficult parking…read more I was able to get a spot right in front b because I went to lunch, but the parking lot has signs saying it is for employees of the wood shop next door, and no trespassing in the lot across the street, so I think street parking is the only option? Service is great, very attentive and friendly. The food is what earns this three stars. I tried a stuffie, German onion soup, a Farmhouse burger, and a key lime Mason jar. The stuffie was a little small, and most of the flavor was imparted by the ham and the squeeze of lemon. The German onion soup, I'm not sure why it was German except to not be French? Outside the name difference, the onions were way too large, and there was a total lack of flavor going on in the soup. The crock was very large too. The burger and fries looked pretty good, and I enjoyed the flavors here. The fries were rough hewn, so there was good crispness from all the edges. The toppings of the burger, and the bun, were also hearty. Unfortunately, my medium rare burger was more like raw meat with surface browning. I'm a big fan of rare steak, but ground beef needs a little more cooking. Also, the house made ketchup is really more of a marinara sauce. If I'd ended up eating more of my plate before they took it away to re-fire the burger, I would have asked to replace the ketchup. The key lime Mason jar was e everything you want to wrap up a meal. Great flavor, lightness, citrus. I did have to bring most of it home but, unlike the burger they brought back in a box, I'm excited to get back into the key lime. From an accessibility stand point, there is no ramp to get in nor handicap parking, so the evidently don't want your business. Once you're in, there are some seats you could get in, but if this place were full it would be difficult to navigate for anyone. The bathroom is a single room, but very spacious and nice. So, mixed bag for access. Your mileage may vary, but I'm not racing to return.
