Absolutely disgusting! Ridiculously overpriced. My wife shared a brisket bowl and a beer and our total was $41 before the tip. With the tip it was $46 for the most disgusting brisket bowl I've ever had in my life. It was a bowl of lettuce with a small scoop of beans on one side, a scoop of Rice on the other side and chopped up little pieces of brisket fat. The pieces were probably quarter inch by quarter inch cubes and 50% of it was pure fat. It was insulting and I will never give Guy Fieri a nickel of my money ever again. here should've been five dollars and the brisket bowl should have been five dollars with the tip price that horrible deal should've been about $13. I think this is the only bar in Burbank airport. Crowded and a wait to be seated for just 1 person. No real seating at the bar because people can apparently leave the restaurant with alcohol so there is a steady stream of people. The loaded fries were good but nothing to write home about. I think there are two different textures or cheese - melty nacho and shredded. I'd go again but if you are planning for a quiet meal you will need to plan for a different airport. The service here was incredible! Ledonte was our bartender and server a few times, and his friendly demeanor and outgoing personality were a highlight of our visit. I came in before a flight today, and was clearly first to be seated, the waitress told us they would be right back. Then two other ladies walked up, asked to look at a menu and they got seated before us. We committed before these two women. Of course we waited a few more minutes for the waitress to come back, only to say there were no more tables left, so we got seated at a bar set too high for the seats facing a wall. Today we stopped at the kitchen and bar express at the Burbank airport, and I have a few comments. We unfortunately did not have time before our flight to ask for a manager, and were not asked by our waitress how everything was so I did not say anything, which in hindsight I regret. We went for breakfast and the food left... a lot to be desired: I ordered the eggs and hash, requesting the eggs "scrambled". What I received was not scrambled eggs, but rather a fried egg that had been pushed around on the grill, with obvious distinction between the whites and yolks. The "hash" was literally a pile of tater tots.. that's not hash. My husband ordered the breakfast burger. What we expected at 6am was a burger patty, egg, maybe a hash brown, between pancakes or French toast, you know, breakfast food? What we got was literally just a burger. Adding an egg on top does not make it a breakfast item, and on top of the that the brioche was thicker than the filling, and it was cold bread. The whole thing was wholly unappetizing. The staff did not seem to care for us, as they checked in on all the tables around us, but not ours. My toast came dry, and I ate it hoping the butter that is usually on breakfast toast had just melted in. But then the table next to us got their food and I realized her plate contained butter and an assortment of jams... items that my plate lacked. Finally, I was a little out off by the fact that for a sit down restaurant... EVERYTHING was disposable. You are telling me that every single persons plate and cup and silverware just gets trashed? In an age of sustainability, how is that ok? I even got individual pepper packets, we can't put a shaker on the table? All of this came out to SEVENTY DOLLARS. I understand that this was an airport, but the previous day we went to another airport breakfast and had better food with larger portions for only $30. read more

When there's a sign out front that says wait to be seated, we wait. And waited, and waited. We stood there for 7 minutes as several employees glanced at us occasionally. It wasn't busy, and they weren't just being lazy as I did see them waiting on tables, but it was a long wait when more than half the restaurant is empty. Then a white family who arrived after us got seated before us and we stood for 5 more minutes until finally someone checked on us and we ended up ordering to-go. My wife and I had a drink before our flight. $57 for 2 drinks.... In what world? I've been to many airports and order drinks and never had I come across such asinine prices for two drinks. No doubles. Not even blended drinks. Times are tough I know but really? Tried talking with the server an management but got shut down. Was told not to leave a tip and they'd be ok with that. No. We left a tip because it's not the kids fault for terrible management and operational procedures. If you're at this air port...avoid them. Not worth your hard earned money. Here is the thing - if you look through the reviews you will notice that a lot of people are upset over things that simply are impossible to avoid at an airport. That's just it, this is the ONLY bar or restaurant at this airport. Of course they are understaffed and busy. Service can be slow because there are three servers total trying to help like, 50 people. Honestly, my wife and I shared the Sourdough Melt and it was amazing. Sure, took 'em a while to get our order but probably because there were many people who jumped in and tried to get their order in at the bar despite being asked to wait when they staff was obviously very busy. Bottom line - the servers here are working hard and trying to please everyone while having limited space and personelle. Sadly, there are very limited food choices in this terminal at the Burbank international airport. Even more disappointing was this restaurant. The staff spent more time singing tunes that were playing in the background, than serving customers. I didn't know I was walking into a karaoke place. The food was mediocre. I'm allergic to avocado. I asked for NO avocado. instead of "none" they put it on the side. But the most annoying aspect of the (lack of) service was in asking for plain old soda water to accompany my meal. Most restaurants don't charge for soda water off the fountain. Not here!!! Not realizing that they charge as if it were an actual syrupy soda - the serving staff should inform unsuspecting customers that they are going to get gouged for water with bubbles. This place charges almost 6 dollars for soda water from the fountain gun. This is a cheap, absurd and misleading business practice. I wouldn't eat here again if it was the last place on the planet. read more

Where do I begin???? LITERALLY EVERYTHING WAS TERRIBLE!!!! Except for my nice waiter whose name I unfortunately did not get. Let me preface this by saying that I don't normally review restaurants but the experience here was so bad I feel the need to warn others against patronizing it. I honestly don't mind paying $20+ for breakfast BUT I expect it to be a good breakfast, with fresh delicious ingredients that are well-cooked and not served on a throw-away plastic plate. I ordered the egg (scrambled)/bacon/tater tots "hash" with toast breakfast ($19.95) and plain drip coffee ($4.95). When I think of scrambled eggs at that price point, I imagine fluffy hot eggs with maybe a dash of creme fraiche, with maybe even a piece of parsley or a few pieces of chives -- ANYTHING to make it look appetizing. What I got was dried out lukewarm rubbery eggs that looked like it stayed on the cooking surface too long until the cook (I can't force myself to call that person a "chef") remembered it and just chopped up with the spatula before scooping it up on the plate where it sat for a bit. On top of those eggs were 3 pieces of unappetizing greasy bacon. Absolutely nothing special about them. Then a whole slew of tater tots. There was nothing to differentiate them from what you'd pull out of the freezer, stick in the oven, and pour into your kids' plates to keep them happy. When I think of a "hash", I think of other ingredients mixed in like peppers, onions, etc. I don't know how a bunch of plain old unadorned tater tots could be called a "hash." So misleading . . . not to mention utterly disappointing. Two pieces of cold dry toast were served sitting on top of that mess without any butter or jam. I asked for some butter (which should have just been served without my asking) and when it came, it was frozen solid. Because the toast wasn't warm, the butter wouldn't spread. And, let's not forget the coffee, which was served in a take-away paper cup. At almost $5, you'd think they'd at least give you a choice of creamers (different milks, half-and-half, cream, etc.). Nope. Just a cup of small containers of chemical-tasting CoffeeMate!!! I had to ask for milk, which came not in a spouted container for easy pouring but in a drinking class. I'm so sick of restaurants like this that ride only on its name and cheat -- yes, CHEAT -- the customers. I was so shocked that the kitchen had the audacity to send something like that out to a customer and expect them to fork about $25, plus tax and tip. It truly was inedible. So much worse than what I could get at the worst greasy spoon hole-in-the-wall diner in the worst part of town for less than half the price. Thankfully, the nice waiter took it all away. I left hungry but at least I didn't pay that unjustifiably exhorbitant amount for garbage. Shame on them. read more

Waste of time and money! I previously read the reviews and viewed the pictures, as I do for every eatery establishment upon arriving, and had prepared myself to not have high expectations. The cocktails are overpriced and incorrectly poured. I ordered a Bacardi mojito. As a bartender of about 10yrs myself, this cocktail only takes a few minutes to concoct. This bartender took about 15 minutes or longer, as she was slowly building my drink, then leaving to help other customers, then coming back to continue making my drink. Once I finally received my cocktail, it was ridiculously sweet(way too much simple syrup), and the glasses they serve these in are way too small for the amount we're paying. Safest bet, just order a beer. I ordered the Loaded Fries from the menu because I thought to myself, "can't mess that up. I'm trying to keep it simple." I was HORRIBLY mistaken. When it arrived on their flimsy black plastic plates, I was sorely disappointed(even with previously low expectations). The fries were flavored just "ok." The cheese looks like it came out of one of those cans of cheese. And the bacon was mediocre. I asked for extra "loaded" on my loaded fries...and when they brought my flimsy plastic plate back, I thought "this is a joke." Ended up just paying for it, but not eating it. I always figured to myself, "for a man who travels the world and tastes amazing, delicious, mouth-watering meals from all over America...you would think his food would be inspired by that. Sadly, nothing at his restaurants are inspiring nor tasty." Will not be returning to here or any of his establishments, as how they disappoint every single time. I was frustrated by yet another delayed flight and stopped to get a snack for my husband, toddler and I. The staff: Lindsay, La'Dontay, Jackie, and Rosy just handled that restaurant. There were several delayed flights that night so I'm sure they were more busy than usual. They were gracious, funny and honestly just changed the vibe. A team like this is uncommon, even more uncommon for the historically poor service airport restaurants. I hope y'all treat them well, they definitely are the sole reason for the increased stars.
