We chose this place because the outdoor ambiance looked inviting. We sat at the bar, already knowing what we wanted to order. The restaurant wasn't busy, and there were only about four other people at the bar besides us. Despite that, it took nearly 20 minutes before anyone served us. Thankfully, I was enjoying a great conversation with my friend, so I didn't make much of it. Once we got our drinks, I wasn't expecting the bartenders to constantly check on us--I actually prefer having my space when catching up with friends. However, what I do expect is basic attentiveness. We were left unattended for long stretches, and no one bothered to check if we wanted another round. Ironically, we ended up ordering another drink anyway. The bartender assigned to us was decent, but the overall level of service fell short. We still left an 18% tip because we always appreciate people working on a holiday. To the owner: your location is one of the best spots in CityWalk, right near the entrance with heavy foot traffic. The server arrived quickly and set down cold waters (super appreciate it) and we started off with two glasses of Horchata (good by the way). We then ordered nachos and 2 taco salads. The Fiesta Salmon was tasty, perfectly cooked with bright citrus rice, sautéed peppers, and plenty of onions (which I absolutely loved). The kids were happy with their quesadillas and fries, and the guacamole with chips and quesabirria minichangas were the perfect appetizers to share. The margarita and mojito were refreshing. My mom is vegan and got the jackfruit tacos with a side salad. I appreciate that our server, Katie was patient and fully explained the ingredients for the dish. We have visited Antojitos several times in the past and have always had a great experience, which makes this review especially disappointing to write. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite of what we've come to expect. We sat at the bar and ordered from the happy hour menu. From the moment we placed our order, the bartender seemed visibly annoyed that we were even there. After taking our order, he never came back to check on us. We were never given plates to share our food, never received silverware, and were never asked if we'd like another drink. We had to go without even the most basic level of service. What made it even more frustrating was that there were two bartenders working and just four guests sitting at the bar, including us, so it wasn't a situation where they were overwhelmed. As two people who work in the service industry ourselves, we know everyone can have an off day, and it genuinely hurts us to leave a negative review. We don't expect perfection--we simply expect to be acknowledged and receive basic service. We're Universal Gold Passholders, and Antojitos has always been one of our favorite places to stop when we're at CityWalk. Sadly, after this experience, we're not sure we'll be coming back. We hope this was an isolated incident because we'd love to see the level of service return to what made us regular customers in the first place. I dined at Antojitos before catching a late-night movie at AMC and, wow, did those nachos hit the spot! Absolutely delicious food and it was pretty lively for a Tuesday night. The service was fine; we came in an hour before closing and we were still welcomed and never rushed at any point. I would've appreciated a couple more check-ins as we only interacted with our server to order and close out our bill, but still the food was great and I definitely would come back. The topping distribution on those nachos was amazing and perfectly balanced with the amount of chips. They don't skimp out on the cheese at all! We also had the Tinga Taquitos which had the perfect crunch and the tinga was pretty flavorful and not dry at all. On Wednesday, September 24, 2026, around 8:30 to 9:00 PM, my husband and I visited to celebrate his birthday. We left at approximately 9:40 PM after spending time in the bar area, where we were attended by Jonesy and another bartender who wore lemon earrings. While our initial experience was satisfactory, we later realized that my sister's black Coach bag, valued at over $400, was missing. We attempted to contact the restaurant immediately, but it had already closed. The following morning, we reached out to Universal Studios Security, our hotel security, and the shuttle service we used, but unfortunately, we could not locate the bag. The restaurant was the last place we had the bag in our possession. Upon calling security again the next morning, I was informed that there were no security cameras; however, I observed two cameras upon my arrival at the restaurant. I had the opportunity to speak with Michelle, who appeared disinterested in addressing my concerns and demonstrated a lack of customer service skills. She also stated that the camera is only pointed at the register when I told her we were sitting right in front of the register. Never been to a restaurant where they don't have cameras for safety and security reasons. Owners should add more cameras if that truly is the case. Recommend sending her to classes for customer service because wow. I requested to speak with the manager on duty that night, identified as Andrew, and left my contact information for a follow-up. Despite being informed that he would arrive at 3 PM, I never received a call back. Everyone I spoke to regarding this matter believes the staff had something to do with it which really sad because we would never want to accuse someone without proof but based off how they are treating the matter that is most likely the case to believe now. As a frequent visitor to this restaurant--having dined there several times with family during our visits to Universal Studios--I have always recommended it to friends and family. I have been at this restaurant many times and for the most part it was good. Today however was just different. Management really needs to look into customer service! I came with my family for some lunch. We did not have to at all since the place was not busy, great! We ordered our food and drinks and just sat there waiting. Usually they would bring out salsa and chips until our food arrives. My kids wanted guacamole and chips, which we ordered. Our food arrived about 15-20 minutes later with our guacamole, salsa and chips. My son wanted tacos with just tomatoes. We were told the restaurant doesn't have plain chopped tomatoes ‍. This place is really a 3.5 but I rounded up for the great ambiance and strong drinks. My friend and I both ordered a drink and the chicken tinga taquitos. Let me say this, both of our drinks were STRONG! I got the pumpkin horchata and I could definitely taste the rum. My friend got the hot sauce for us, and it really amped up the dish. They were perfectly crispy and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this. And it's a larger portion than you would think! This is a place that seems like the menu maybe could be hit or miss in terms of authenticity depending on what you order. The nachos for example are huge, but don't look the most authentic- definitely look like a sports bar made them. The interior decorating is really fun, they've done a great job with it. Everyone we interacted with who worked there were very nice and friendly to us as well. They said the wait would be 20 minutes, but it definitely was more like 10. Felt the need to update my review after not eating here in a year, mainly because of their new Brunch menu but also fantastic service from our waiter, Hector! My bf, mom, and I went to try their new brunch menu this past weekend and had a wonderful time. We ordered drinks and food immediately, asked for extra plates for sharing, all brought out nicely. He forgot my mom's lemonade that we had to ask for after getting our food and he brought it immediately, apologized, and didn't charge us for it which I thought was really nice and not even necessary! We had such a great time and that was just a plus. We opted to sit in the patio since the weather was beautiful. It was still a bit early in the day so it wasn't super busy yet. We stopped by in December after our preferred restaurant was closed for a private event - I truly wish we had gone to Taco Bell instead. We stopped by on a week day in the afternoon and was one of 2 parties in the restaurant. Not only was service horrible, but they charge for chips and salsa which was a huge turn off for me. The food was okay, but nothing memorable or rave worthy. I was thinking it was a one off situation, but my parents went back to meet friends for dinner and said it was the same and their friends didn't even finish their meals (which we didn't either - left a lot of food on the table). My husband and I sat quickly (as we had a movie to catch), server came quickly but we did not decide right away. Instead of any recommendations, she came back 3 times before we ordered. After we did, our enchiladas came out 4 minutes later, and barely warm at best! Rice was cold, and stale. The atmosphere throughout CityWalk was exciting, with many customers proudly wearing Mexico jerseys and celebrating the World Cup. Unfortunately, my experience at Antojitos was extremely disappointing. We were seated at the island bar, where two bartenders--a female and a male whose names were something like Jameson or Jimson--provided what I felt was noticeably different service toward us. They rarely acknowledged us or the party seated next to us, and we had to flag them down every single time we wanted to order another drink or ask for assistance. Meanwhile, they consistently checked on other guests around us and asked if they needed anything. As a customer, this left me feeling unwelcome and singled out. I have never personally experienced treatment that made me question whether I was being treated differently because of my ethnicity, but this experience made me feel that way. Whether intentional or not, the service we received was unacceptable, especially for a restaurant located in a major tourist destination like CityWalk. After leaving, we went to NBC Sports Grill, where the atmosphere was completely different. People of all backgrounds were enjoying the game together, the staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the overall experience was excellent. The contrast between the two establishments made our experience at Antojitos stand out even more.
