I was here for work and just arrived and checked into my hotel. After a quick trip to Pike's Fish Market & Space Needle, I needed to get something to eat. I decided to utilize Uber Eats and stumbled upon this place. I opted for the gyro salad. When the food finally arrived (20 minutes after the quoted time), it felt like a pound of meat was on top of this salad (it was a lot of meat, while not really a pound). The tzatziki sauce had a nice flavor (seasoned well) and the meat was nicely cooked and seasoned well. I did not take away from my rating of the food, since they have no control over the uber driver. After a recent move, I'm on the search for the new go-to Greek food, mostly for gyros and fries. Located in the mall means hours are limited, but there are a few Gyro Express' in the area. There was nothing in particular to make this place stand out, no signature sauce, pretty average fries, and at least for a mall stop, kind of slower service (time I wouldn't mind giving for sit down service, so arguably not bad either). This is probably the most mediocre Greek fast food I've had. I ordered through Uber Eats a few weeks back and got a Gyro Plate for myself, small Greek Fries to share and a Traditional Gyro Pita for my sister. It took a while for Uber Eats to deliver my food. Once delivered it was already cold. I don't think it's the establishment but I've read things on here that customers have received food cold. My Gyro plate was blah. Sad salad, rice was meh and little meat whatsoever, it looked more like shredded beef than the lamb and beef mix. I had finished bc I was hungryyy but I won't be coming back to this establishment. Two young guys working 2 Fridays ago.. must have felt overwhelmed prepping orders (3 people ahead of me, 1 behind me).. but they were bickering back and forth. Should've been a red flag right there. Placed my order for small greek fries to go, paid, and stepped back AWAY from the line. The "cook" was on some power trip and rudely yelled at me to get back. So I moved further back. He did this a couple of times, only to me. Not to the many people to the left and right of me. Weird. Still, I complied. The "cashier" called me over and asked what I ordered since he was confused. I walked back over and answered "small greek fries light sauce." Cook yells at me again to get back. So I did again. Weird though, I'm not in anyone's way, and there's no one in line anyway. He says to me a final time, "move back all the way over." So I walked all the way back and then over in front of the Thai place next door. He then snaps and tells me I need to move all the way over to the left side near the cash register. I am confusing him? This is when I had had it, and I told him, "No. first, you can ask nicely. don't bark at me. Second, I already moved like you asked, 5 times. I'm not in anyone's way here, and you're herding people into a crowd. Third, Why only me?" He lost it. He packaged up my fries, held it up to his face mockingly and shook it saying, "now, you WILL do as I say and walk over there like I told you to and go get your food." Smirks. Then, he tosses it to the left of the cash register and yells "GO GET IT." I asked for a manager, he says he's the owner. Doubt it. So I asked for a refund. It's not about the money, it's the principle. Not a cent of my hard earned money will support this place. Instead of giving me a refund, They made me wait. I asked again and again for a refund so I can be on my way. The cashier taunts me. Finally, the cook tells his cashier to pay me in pennies and cents bc I spent nothing there. I was appalled, I asked for my money back politely, no cuss words. He decides to start cussing me out and tells me I need to wait if I want a refund on my card. So I waited and waited until all customer orders were served. No one was in line. Then, a new family walks up to place an order and that's when I say I'm done waiting and need my money back now. Cook comes over and this is when I start recording.. he waves cash in my face, and tells me it's more money than I paid and to get the F out. I refuse to be called poor and take the $20, and again asked for a refund. I call police because he says he's having security drag my body out if I don't walk away, even though he's the thief. All he had to do was void the transaction or refund the amount in cash or card.. not wave a $20 in my face or pay me in pennies. He wanted to be difficult and had no regard for his customer. Big ego trip and discriminatory behavior. I did nothing to warrant this, and there is no reason for him to treat me this way when I never raised my voice or cussed back. Security supervisor named Iris(?) comes over and while I'm talking to her, they are making faces, obscene and vulgar tongue movements and hand gestures at me. Pointing, laughing like immature children. I'm so shocked. Every time the security turned around, they stopped and whistled. The security finally yelled at them to knock it off and apologized on their behalf saying that people are nasty and "boys will be boys." I really appreciate her consoling me and taking down my completed formal complaint form to mall management. She was so helpful and even escorted us as far as we needed so these vile men couldn't yell profanities at us as we walked by. Shout out to her! I don't like using my race for anything, but when I heard these guys say Chinese this and Chinese that.. it triggered all the memories of discrimination I had faced throughout my life. My elderly mother and I cried in public because of them.. Something that's not happened to us in a long time. First off, I'm not chinese. I was born and raised here in the states. Second, even if I was, it's still not okay. And lastly, hope you both have love in your lives, I feel sorry for you.. that this is how you treat people, and I can't imagine what led to this person you are today. I have video proof of the cussing and waving cash in my face and the total disrespect in action if anyone needs it. Yelp will not let me post because it's too long. Police have strict rules about going to non-urgent and non-physical disputes during Covid, so they called back apologizing that they cannot come. And to handle this in a civil manner since they've taken my money and threatened my safety. To this day, they have taken money and not given me a refund.. but they've taken more than that, they've taken basic human dignity from people who did nothing wrong. We went to Gyro Express the other day, for a quick meal, and given its convenience and the flavor of the food, it's still a solid 4-star option. We ordered the Lamb and Beef, over rice, without salad and a Lamb and Beef Wrap. The Lamb and Beef is pretty good. The Lamb doesn't have that distinct lamb flavor - but it's good. The meat is tender and has good seasoning. The rice has good seasoning as well. The mixture of the sauce with the hot sauce provides really good moisture for the meat - so if it's dry (and I do t think it's too bad), then it's masked well with the sauces and the rice has a nice balance to the meat. It's just a really good dish. The wrap was good. There was a nice grill to the wrap. It's got a nice balance of meat and vegetables. It's not the best wrap that I've had - but it's filling and good. It's not going to ruin a meal and not going to be a thing you remember. All-in-all, for price, speed, convenience, etc. it's a really, really good place to get food - especially in a mall. read more

What a great place in a food court at Alderwood Mall. I tried the gyro. So you see the spit they have it on but they don't give you the gyro off the spit. It's marinating in a metal container. Thought it was a little weird. They then add the tzatziki sauce and then the tomatoes and onions are sautéed. But that's Seattle for ya. Unusual ways of doing things but this was a hit for me.
