We love Greek food and saw this had opened in our town. We ordered the chicken and lamb dinner. It was so delicious. It was nice to have a salad with the dinner and we even had the option to order double salad to replace the rice. We just don't eat rice. Honestly just mid, I had the shawarma and it wasn't bad, but wasn't that good. i've definitely had better. also it's expensive, i bought a gyro and sprite for my girlfriend and it was 22 dollars. for the price i expected to be full afterwards, but i was still a little hungry. I had a chance to try the gyro with lamb and it was ok, a little bit on the salty side and it didn't have that much savory flavor. I was looking for the lamb flavor and it just wasn't there. The we went today around 3:30pm it was pretty empty but we were immediately greeted and our order was taken. We ordered 2 bowls (chicken and gyro) and some French fries and we waited about 10 minutes to get our order. We did take it to go and live about 15 minutes from the location the food was still warm when we started to eat everything was exactly how it was pictured on the menu. I was a little hesitant to try this place because I have my favorite Gyro place already. But my husband insisted. I'm so glad he did. The bread was so soft, the lamb was tasty, crispy on the outside; the tomatoes, cucumbers & onion portions perfectly complimented the meat and were fresh and crisp & the chopped size was perfect! The cucumber sauce was good, not great. We also tried the falafel & grape leaves. The falafel was sort of fluffy, which I found odd. It had a good flavor, I'm just used to a more dense texture. The grape leaves had good flavor & were rolled tightly; big plus in my book. The mint lemonade is fantastic too. The place is small & simple but very clean. We will definitely be back! read more

I was working in the La Porte area for the day and after work I wanted some real food. No fast food and nothing super heavy. I googled food near me and say this location. I love Greek food and gyros especially. I called and asked the price on just a gyro and fries but the price was way more than I'm used to paying after living in the West coast for so long. Surprisingly after I said no thank you due to the price the owner called me back in less than a couple minutes. He informed me that he would give me a small discount in order for me to try their food and see if I liked it and if I didn't he would offer a refund. I found this very impressive and honorable as I own a BBQ business myself it just showed me he was confident in the quality of his food and service so I agreed to place the order. I arrived in ten minutes and my food was ready, fresh and hot. He formally introduced himself when I arrived and I sat down to eat while the food was still hot. It was absolutely perfect! I hadn't had Greek in months and my order fulfilled my craving. The gyro was girthy, the lamb was light and tender, the assembly of the gyro was nearly perfect with the sauce and veggies and that's only because I like a bit of extra taziki sauce but they have it extra at the table or you can ask the helpful front counter cashier for some to go which I did. Overall it was the absolute perfect meal after a long exhausting day. I dare you to finish it all bc I couldn't which is normal for me but it's great leftovers and you can always just take your leftover meat and add it to a salad for a healthy next day lunch. I have ordered delivery from Gyro Guys numerous times. Overall the food is hot and fresh with authentic flavor. I typically order the Gyro Plate; the meat is moist with good flavor. The cucumber filling in the gyro is consistently fresh and the sauce flavorful. The fries are hit and miss. I have had them moist and tasty (most times) a couple of times, they have been dried out and hard--obviously have been sitting under the heat lamp too long. I always order 2 cans of soda, I have had them forget one can on more than one occasion. I rate the overall service and food here a 7 out of 10 read more
