    5. Lamb Over Rice Platter
    Icel C.

Excellent Mediterranean food! Love that they stay open late. Lots of flavor and very fresh. Good portions. Good came out very fast. The spicy red sauce and cream gave it the extra boost of flavor.

I was pleasantly surprised! What a great meal.

What a great meal! I was really pleasantly surprised. They are in a shopping strip. Lamb is their main meat, it was prepared deliciously and you are given many choices. Very nice establishment, friendly customer service.

I ordered a gyro meat platter and a chicken and gyro meat platter to dine in with my two little kids. The portions are huge, one single platter was enough for the three of us. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The chicken was a bit on the dry side and the gyro meat was diced very small instead of being shaved off how it normally is served at most other places. They also charge you for any sauces to go. Overall it was a very good place

Just left this place and was delighted to meet the duo working this Sunday and how cool they were. I wasn't familiar with their setup and menu so it tiok me a few blinks to decide. Leonardo who was running the register was patient and friendly and a good sense of humour his side kick Jose (i believe, sorry I am not sure) is as jolly as he is. They work as a great team! The food was good and we are pleased how big thr platter and size of the gyro. My son and hubby enjoyed their lamb gyro while i settle for the platter and it surrly hit the spot. It reminds me of my grandma's home cooked meal during our visits to Pireaus, Greece. The tziki sauce is perfect not too sour, just perfect! I accidentally said yes to rhe veggie that was too spicy for me due to the pepper chinis but it was delicious. Clears up the palette. I took home baclava and tiramisu for desert Give them a chance if you haven't tried them

Gyro King deserves their crown. They serve quality, fresh food in large proportions. The food comes out fast whether dine-in or to-go. Also make sure to try the tzatziki sauce here bc I love dousing my food in it - it's too good. (Can't comment on the red sauce bc I ain't a spice gal). Regardless of what dish you choose, they never skimp on the food. My boyfriend always gets the combo over rice and I get the gyro chicken fries. We always devour through it. I normally place my orders to-go over the phone. I never have any issue placing my order and it's always ready by the time I get there (in ~10 min). Gyro King is so much better than Halal Guys. Y'all are seasoning your meat perfectly!

My mom LOVES this place! We stop here on our way back from an errand we run this way all the time. She orders the Lamb Platter and I order the Lamb Salad. The salad is interesting cause it has jalapeños and pickles in it. I've never eaten a salad like that til I ate here! My mouth is on fire! lol but I've gotten used to it. The service is excellent! We usually take it to go and they fulfill our order pretty quickly. I think we've only eaten here once. They have a good dining area but it's hardly ever too packed. I recommend this place!

Just around $10 for a hearty plate of deliciousness.

Generous portions, yummy food, good prices... A big bang for your buck. You can get a huge plate for just around $10. Everything tastes fresh & is well seasoned. Fries are crispy & not oily, meats have bold flavors without being too exotic, spicy items have just the right touch of heat - - balanced & not offensive to the palette. Service is quick; it's practically fast food. Awesome choice, if you're a fan of Mediterranean and Halal food.

I really enjoyed my visit here and the food portions were extremely generous. I ordered the lamb/gyro on a bed of salad instead of rice. I got to choose my veggies that I wanted to add to the salad. The meat was tender and very flavorful and I got lots of it. In the end, it's topped with some white sauce and red hot sauce. We also got the chicken over rice combo. Chicken. Was good too but not my choice. They have medsandwiches also I plan to return here soon.

Great atmosphere! The vibe is very relaxing with healthy foods! You have a choice of healthy Mediterranean food! I usually get the Gyro wrap chicken but tonight I got chicken over rice ( hot red sauce on the side) so delicious! Customer service is amazing. The wait time is no longer than 10 mins depending on item. And parking is easy breezy.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service was genuinely kind from start to finish. I enjoyed my meal so much that I came back for another round of the lamb gyro platter--it was that good! One of the highlights of our visit was meeting Sam, the owner and chef, who personally stopped by our table. He generously treated us to some Basbousa and extra falafels to try, which made the experience feel even more special. The jalapeño mozzarella falafel was delicious and a fun twist on a classic, but it's hard to beat the original falafel--crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside, and perfectly fresh. Great food, wonderful hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for fresh Mediterranean cuisine made with heart, I highly recommend giving this place a try. We'll definitely be back!

Seating was ok; not very convenient - mostly bench style on one side with chairs on the other, and a few narrow booths. Ordered Shrimp Tempura, Mozzarella Sticks, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, and Spicy Cauliflower for appetizers, followed by Lamb Gyro/Chicken Shawarma; Beef Gyro/Chicken Taouk; Tabbouleh Salad with Lentil Soup; Falafel Burger with Lentil Soup; and bottled Yogurt drinks and Lemonade. Food arrived quickly but all at the same time - despite requesting the server to make sure the appetizers came first followed by the entrees. When notified, two servers basically informed us that they were not the cooks and that the latter was making everything together and sending them out as they were made! Ridiculous...soon our table was filled with plates of food, with little room to maneuver! Food was okay; nothing to write home about. Have had much better at lower prices. Quantity of Hummus was quite small for the price charged. Bread was not fresh and was served lukewarm. While we were still at the table eating our meal, the whole place began shutting down even though ocean closing time and cleaners started swabbing the floors around us - so our meal ended with the lovely aroma of floor cleaning liquid! Ah what an end to a memorable evening - crazy! The whole meal set us back $210 including an undisclosed service charge already built in - not informed about this at all until asked. Not planning to return as nothing impressed much and cost was reactively high.

The server (Mohammad) was very attentive, he even gave us dessert on the house bc it was our first time. Let's talk about the food! Oh boy was it all good! So I wasn't in the mood to wait more. Server was a girl and she had black hair and she took forever to greet us which was annoying. And she was just slower overall like I had to ask for bread, bc I thought I had to order it or something, she was just not very welcoming and informative overall. Very bare minimum but hey whatever maybe she was off that day. I'll come again at an earlier time and see if it's a different experience. But it was okay overall, it could have been better with service so hopefully they do that bc there is multiple reviews about service complaints. But I was excited for the knafeh bc I love that dessert and no it was just not good. It wasn't crunchy I don't even think they used phyllo dough idk not the best would never order again was disappointed. But anywho this place could be better if they fixed these issues.

This is the case with Lama Mediterranean Cuisine in The Woodlands. My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.
