Best Gyro I've had since I moved from Illinois to Texas. They definitely have that Chicago style.

Oooops! I forgot to take a picture of my food. It was so delicious, I didn't have time to show you what I enjoyed. Anyway, I had a plate of lamb w/toppings, extra sauce, and fries. Everything was good. On the other hand, French fries could have used a spicy or cajun seasoning. I put it on them once I arrived home. I called for a takeout staying 15 minutes away, I didn't have to wait long. They wanted to ensure I had hot fries. I'm glad Gyros To Go chose not to honor my order, I would not have been introduced to my new stop. The cashier was nice, and greeted you once you walked in. So. Always great customer service and the food is delicious. We have always experienced a reasonable wait time for our food, if we're in a rush, we always call ahead to have the food ready when we get there. My favorite thing that they have is the fresh hummus- they always give a big bag or plate of pita bread to go along with your hummus order. read more

Small place in a retail shopping strip. Super fresh ingredients in my Mediterranean salad; dressing was yummy. My chicken shawarma wrap was tasty and a large portion. I tried my friend's falafel which was crispy and accompanied with a creamy tahini sauce. The staff was friendly and helpful. read more

The Italian beef sandwich was ok, the bread wasn't that impressive but the meat was flavorful. The shawarma wrap with shirak bread was good, esp. the bread which we loved. However the meat was spices with a lot of cumin. Cumin is never the overwhelming spice in shawarma but their shawarma is just cumin. I didn't like that at all. Advice to cooks: focus on perfecting the seasoning/marinate of shawarma meat rather than just smothering it with cumin. Keep using fresh bread, and fresh meat. This is what shawarma is all about. read more

Not perfect but was much better than expected. I am a firm believer in a place in Ft. Worth and use them to compare other Mediterranean style food and this place did a good job of ranking up. I had the Gyro Sandwich Combo and my wife had the Falafel Sandwich Combo. The Gyro meat was very flavorful, the Pita bread was fresh, and the tzatziki sauce was plentiful. And the french fries were HOT which is always wonderful. The only drawback was that they did not have a large enough selection of drinks. I would have liked to have seen a fountain and both sweet and unsweetened tea urns. The staff was friendly, and the cleanliness was Ok (I am really harsh on this item, most fast food can't get Ok. We can blame this on my mother.) All in all, this is a place that we will repeat. read more

I used to work in downtown Chicago and the coworkers and I used to walk down to a mom and pop gyro shop to get a gyro combo that was out of this world. Been here last time I was in town and returned for another delicious sandwich. Last time I had the Gyros and it was as delicious as a Gyros can get. This time I tried the Italian Beef sandwich and it was spot on with lots of flavor and a generous portion. One of my favorite places to get a falafel wrap in Arlington/Mansfield area! The falafel wrap comes inside a soft pita, filled with crispy falafels, their cucumber/tomato salad and humus. The salad and the hummus is what makes it so yummy! I like to get it with fries and put it inside the wrap. Such a great vegetarian dish for my fellow vegetarians! My sister ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and enjoyed it. She said it had a nice kick to it! We also ordered the baklava for dessert, they were nice and flakey. They were very generous with the portion, the meat had great flavor, and I loved the tzaziki sauce. The fries were nice and fresh too.. Over all it was great but a lil greasy and heavy on the onions. This place has the best shawarma in the area. We placed a large order of food and our order was accurate and delicious. The employees are kind and do everything to make sure that you have a great experience. When I arrived to pick up my order, they offered me a drink while I waited for the food to be packaged. Great place to go! Ton of GOOD food for the money. Reminds me a lot of a place a Chicago transplant opened in Memphis years ago that I really miss. The Gyro is HUGE and the bread is soft and perfect. The prices listed on Yelp are no longer accurate. This place used to be great for the price, but they jumped the prices up so high it and the middling quality doesn't make it worth it anymore. The same meal we used to purchase for $35 is now $50. The fries used to be awesome - best fries in the area - now they are soggy. Gyro meat is still okay but honestly we can make it better at home. Paying $7 for a cheap hot dog of which you can buy the same ingredients at the grocery store for $2 doesn't make sense. read more
