The woman who waited on us told us there were no Gyros with fries, only a gyro in a rice bowl with cheese fries. After about 10 minutes of going back and forth with her about the menu listed on the wall as well as online. Her insistence was that we had a gyro in rice bowl with cheese fries and pieces of pita bread option only, there were NO gyros served in pita bread with a side of "crispy fries" we left Chop House Gyro in Arlington, Texas frustrated. You might want to redo your website as it does not reflect what you actually serve there. They used to be so good. Tonight we ordered by Uber Eats and the food is disgusting. They gave us old gyro meat that is completely dried out. They cut it in the smallest pieces and have the entire nerve to charge $14.00 for this. Since they moved into their new spot, I have tried them twice. The first time I gave them a pass for slow service and over charging me for a drink. The menu had one price and the register was coded for another. I thought the would get the issues resolved and then this horrible food. This is $40.00 worth of trash. I would be embarrassed to send this out to a customer. They must be feeling the cost expense for moving and updating cause their cutback on food and food quality is not a good look. The veggies in the salad is slimy. This was my first time eating from here. I ordered on GrubHub and it took about 45 mins to get to me, during peak dinner hours. But anyway. You're here to learn about the food. I'm here to tell you about it. I initially picked this place because I was craving a gyro desperately, and this was nearby. But as soon as I saw the pictures of the various bowls on the website, I knew I had to have one. Ordered the Manhattan Bowl and it was INSANE. All of the gyro meat is outstanding. I especially enjoyed the falafels. The signature white sauce complements everything so well. And the pita bread! Amazing. I ordered this at medium spice level, which was manageable for me but I will probably go for mild in the future. The fries were perfect too. Some gyro places will serve crinkle cut fries which is just YUCK! But these fries were crisp and so so delicious. I could not get enough of them. I dipped them in the hummus, but they're just as good plain. The hummus was a bit runnier than I expected, not the soft scoopable texture you'd find in the store. But it was still delicious. The only complaint I have is about the lemonade. It's not badly priced, but it hardly qualifies as strawberry lemonade. It tasted more like Kool-Aid to me. The fries were seasoned nice & even the gyro in the Manhattan bowl was cooked perfectly. Me along with my family found the food to be absolutely delicious. However the staff is really what makes me want to give this place a 6/5 star review!! We were very curious about portion size and what things were in each bowl, and the person who was the cashier was extremely patient and nice. He helped us decide how much to order and gave us some amazing recs. He also gave us extra white sauce (pls try!!) and hot sauce.
