Hubby needed a ramen fix, went here on a recommendation from another Yelper friend. Ridiculously…read moregood! Lots of choices, hubby got his favorite, tonkotsu, I chose a "mild" spicy mala style. Some may have considered it spicy. There are several rather intimidating sounding spicy ramens, looking forward to trying something more adventurous next time. Both were delicious, lots of toppings, perfect egg, and noodles with just the right bite. The service was very nice, the restaurant is simple, and quite lovely, sorta Pac NW/Japanese decor and style. They also have a good selection of sakes and make their own rather interesting pickles in house.

Parking along the busy street or nearby off streets between the housing. Let's start with what was great: The staff was very friendly, attentive and quickly sat us down with booster and high chair. Drinks (IPA and a Calpico) came out very quick as well as the Tabor tofu (3). The food was good. We had the Tabor tofu (kids enjoyed) and x2 Kaiyo Tsukemen. The dipping ramen came out with a nice jammy soft boiled egg and the noodles had a pretty good chew. The sauce was a bit thin but had that good seafood umami flavor. Pork belly was well portioned and had a light char. Overall, decent place to eat. Had to dock stars because out of the 4 items we were hoping to get for dinner, they did not have 3 available (fried Ota Tofu, Blistered Shishitos and Umami Mazemen). Maybe they were super busy early on but we were there around 6:45p so surprised menu items were not available. The staff was quick to apologize and worked quickly to get a 2nd Kaiyo Tsukemen out for us when the Umami Mazemen was not available. Wish we could've tried those dishes as I think it would've been a better complete meal. Kids still enjoyed it and our plates were empty so food was still good. Good amount of seating inside, utensils and water are self serve and looks like it could be a fun spot during summer months if they are able to roll up the garage doors!

So good. I didn't enjoy my first visit here. It has been a few years, so when my friend wanted to…read moretry it, I thought it would be good to revisit. Service and ambiance were great. Our waiter was very attentive. When a server delivered our fries to the table, he kind of made a face. Naturally, we were a bit taken aback. I probably made a face, too. Immediately, our waiter came to the table to check on us to see if everything was okay. The restaurant has colorful and quirky interior. My kind of vibe. Not stuffy and a little messy. The food was fantastic. I distinctly remember my experience was basically a salt bomb, it was overly salty and overshadowed any potential flavor. This was not the case on our last visit. It was more than redeeming. Bad experience, what? We got the two specials to share - ribs in a tamarind sauce and braised beef tongue. They were both so, so good. The ribs were tender and wonderfully flavored. The tongue came with a nice pickle like salad on the side. For veggies, we shared the water spinach sauteed in this pungent shrimp paste sauce goodness. My sister packed the sauce home to eat with rice. Oh and the fries! The salted egg yolk flavor is mild, but good. Add the burnt ends.

We did the tasting menu and was not disappointed. My ranking of food…read more 1. Pork skewers with buns 2. Tamarind Mala Fried Chicken 3. Roti Canai 4. Eggplant dish (not on Oma's table tasting) 5.
