    Everything scallion cream cheese
    Scott O.

I had an Everything scallion cream cheese Slightly sweet with a great crust and seasoning on both sides. Cream cheese was fresh and creamy smooth. The service was quick. Great attitudes. The ambiance was classic NY bagel style. Seating both inside and outside out.

Avocado, Egg & Cheese on Asiago w tomato and jalapeño. Decent.

25 minutes waiting for an avocado/egg/cheese bagel is too much. They claim to have the best bagels but the organization at the shop is atrocious. The owner is there amid the chaos and talks to locals and cleans tables. That's great. I wish he would figure out how to make the place run smoother. The bagel, once I got it, was good and generously packed with everything. I may have enjoyed it less because of the service experience. The place is loud, chaotic and disorganized. They also have decent bagels. Roll the dice if you wish but I'm one and done. Ps. They were apologetic and comped a juice but I'd asked about my order twice and nobody did anything til one of the cashiers (dude that looks like Jon Bernthal) searched for my order and personally made sure it was done. Big respect to his customer service!

H&H is absolutely delicious and the best bagels in the area! We ordered a Cinnamon Raisin bagel and a Jalapeño Cheddar... however I think the JC ended up being an Asiago on accident! Regardless of the mishap, these were to die for! Perfectly cooked, flavored and amount of cream cheese. Had about a 10 min line on a Monday morning!! Will definitely be back when I'm back in town!!

Go for normal Bagels, not for the hype. If you go because you heard their bagels are New York bagels, you'll be pretty disappointed like I was. I got the Class BEC (Bacon, Egg, & Cheese) on a Jalapeno Cheese bagel and an Everything bagel with a side of scallion cream cheese. Pros: - Everything Bagel had seasoning on both top and bottom. Is a really nice touch as not many people do that. - The cream cheese was rich, thick, creamy, and had a decent amount of scallions. - Bagels are pumped and pushed out so almost everything is fresh. - Customer service is great! They handle complaints from customers really well and professionally. - Generally kept very clean and tidy Cons: - The bagel was dense and flat rather than puffy, chewy, and soft. - The Class BEC had a lack of flavor and was dependent on the Bacon and Chipotle Mayo. The eggs tasted like there was no seasoning and were not fluffy at all. Cheese was gathered only in the middle. - I ordered in-person, took about 20mins to get into the door and took an additional 20 minutes to get my Classic BEC. An appeal of grabbing a bagel is because it's quick, not the case here. I also overheard some people who ordered online and went inside to pick up their order only to be told to wait 15-20minutes more. As someone who works in NYC and gets bagels at local bodegas every morning, I don't think it's fair for people to write reviews or post on social media claiming H&H is trying to be like New York bagels. It's not fair to the consumers nor the business. As a consumer, if you want to check out the buzz and see what people are talking about, check out H&H but don't expect much

I finally decided to try H&H Bagels . Now let's see ummm I ordered the spicy sausage everything bagel toasted with avocado & tomato which the sandwich was huge!. Not gonna lie I could only eat half & ended up sharing it with my coworker!. The bagel was pretty good (not the greatest) I also ordered a nitro cold brew coffee but honestly it was okay. Overall I liked the inside of the place very nice & clean. The staff was really nice. I'm not totally convinced on the hype it was okay but I'll have to try something else.

4 star bagel shop here in Palm desert. Bagels are good, better than any bagel I've yet to eat here in the valley. The line moves fast, staff is very friendly and the place is clean, convenient and it's easy to see what bagels are for sale. Cold brew coffee is 5 star delicious. I understand how the flow works, but kinda redundant telling my order to the person making my bagel order then telling the cashier again what my order is. I don't mind it per se, but the lady in front of me orders about 8 items and had to repeat her order again after trying to remember and clarify her order to the checkout employee. I want to try their cinnamon babka. I also hope to see bialy on their menu someday.

After driving by since opening day-- and seeing the lines a yards long-- I got lucky today before noon with nobody in the queue! I ordered a toasted onion bagel with Tuna salad and it was delicious. I want to return and try their Nova Lox which I heard is awesome. A BIG shout out to employee ALEX who is so warm and has a great attitude! I went back to purchase a bagel to go and the next thing I know Alex comes out from behind the counter to personally take my order!! Who does that?? A wonderful employee who is customer focused!! Great Job H&H and great job Alex. Highly recommend!!

Very busy at Lunch Time, but the line seems to move pretty fast. Bagels are great, really enjoyed the Classic EBC, on Asiago Bagel. We will return when in the area.

The long line out the door was not only worth the wait but it gave me time to reactivate my ego as a New Yorker. You know the one, where I'm the only possible one in the entire joint whoever truly tasted a bagel. No one could tell me nothin'! I thought for sure these wouldn't hit. Skepticism, our new york guiding light, but alas and lucky for them, I was wrong. These are boiled in New Yawk watuh and flown here for baking. The taste passed my test. My NY bagel order is an Egg Everything Bagel with Veggie Cream Cheese on one side and Butter on the other. And ya eat it split, duh. They didn't have that so I went with an Everything bagel with scallion tomato bacon cream cheese on one side and butter on the other. I was skeptical about the bacon because California bacon is different than NY. Fight me about it if you're a local but you're wasting your time. So is the butter. But they for sure ship these items in with the bagels. I CAN TELL. This bagel was top notch or at least the toppest notch I've had since I left NY so it will do. The bagel flavor choices are incredibly Californian. But as discussed with staff, let them get establish and gain their bearings. Which means, y'all need to go check them out and eat some of their bagels so they can give us the real New Yawkuh experience one day. @HHBagels is a must stop when you're in the desert and can't back home to New Yawk. Don't forget your ego and the little mini apple juices, you know the ones! 5 out of 5 stars because, well, I'm nicer now that I live on the west coast.

    Line on Sunday....
    Don S.

Visited H & H Bagel Shop (Super Happy with our visit!) in Palm Desert on Country Club near Monterey. We were there the Sunday the week after they opened, and had a 30 min. wait. Went back again Tuesday and the wait was shorter. We enjoyed the NY style bagels! My Hubby & I both worked in NYC for 30+ years. There is no where in the Desert that has this type of bagel! They have such a variety of spreads too! There are plenty of seats to enjoy your food/drink! We also stopped by later in the week... The owner (a very young guy) was there twice and remembered us. He's very friendly! His Father in law also works there.

    Juan S.

1st and Foremost. The place has been open for business for a couple of days. For the people leaving a bad review because you had to wait in line? Get a life. Thats what happens when something new pops up. People want to try it. Not the businesses fault that you don't want to wait and your privilege is irrelevant. To the New Store. Customer service was on point. They're getting ppl in and out pretty quickly. Then you pay and obviously wait a bit depending on what you get as they make it fresh to order. Speed will naturally pick up as they get more practice in. For some it was their 2nd day. Bagels were really good! Cream cheese was delicious. I got Plain, Strawberry and Scallion. I will be back and will probably be a weekly visit personally and for our Job.

They're finally open. Great, friendly staff and a pleasant, modern atmosphere. The bagels were fabulously good, very "authentic NY bagels". I'm a little biased because I know the owner but they have truly exceeded my expectations. I'll be back again and again.

    Jalapeño Cheddar, Southwest Turkey Sandwich
    Sonia S.

The desert really needed this bagel place!! I ordered the Southwest Turkey sandwich on the jalapeño cheddar bagel. I also added a layer of scallion cream cheese. The ingredients were all FRESH! The bagel was perfect, not chewy. The have a cream cheese "bar" where you can select various flavors of cream cheese and they have all the typical flavors of bagels. Theres also a breakfast sandwich menu which I will try next time. The service was great. At this time, there is a consistent line out the door, so don't come if youre in a hurry. Give them some grace and patience. Grand Opening is on Thursday April 16. The lobby was busy and full but not a stressful environment at all. The staff is working so hard to get people in and out as quickly as possible. There's seating for only about 20 people. But its spacious enough for waiting room. I hope H&H bagels does very well and stays around for a very long time.

I was stoked to find they offer sourdough bagels, something I haven't really seen elsewhere. Granted I don't search for bagels often, so maybe it's more common lately, but still novel to me. Got the sausage egg and cheese sandwich on sourdough bagel, and it hit the spot. I'm absolutely fine with the portion size; not one for big sloppy sandwiches, anyway. Grabbed a small container of the lemon rainbow shortbread cookies as well, great little sweet treats. Seems to get busy as there was a line, but it moved fairly quickly and efficiently. Grab a menu at the door and study it while waiting, so you know what you want and can promptly order once it's your turn and keep it moving along. Cue George Costanza: "You know, we're living in a society! We're supposed to act in a civilized way!"

Ordered the New York style hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The pastrami was the highlight. Piled high, tender, and full of that classic deli flavor with just the right amount of richness. The rye bread held everything together well and had a nice bite to it. It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious. The place has that old school deli feel, busy but in a good way, and full of character. Service was friendly and efficient even with the crowd. The vast selections of sweets is outstanding and very delicious. And then there's the food. Your traditional Jewish deli. The food has alway been great for both breakfast and lunch. We've never been for dinner but I'm sure if lunch is great, it should be as well. Stopped by after a hike for lunch which wasn't that busy as it was Thursday. Majority of the people were dining inside as it was still pretty hot. They were only utilizing the front part of the patio the time we walked in. Service was great with our waitress. Didn't get her name but she was a doll. We both just wanted a sandwich which they do have a very good selection. As alway, pickles and sauerkraut was brought to the table. It's a classic. Sandwiches, we had the pastrami with fries (like chips) which is an addition fee as it tends to come with coleslaw or potatoes salad. And the tuna sandwich with coleslaw. Both are pretty decent in size and stuffed with meat. Pastrami was quite tasty and juicy. Only downfall, it's literally just meat and bread. You add the extras yourself, ie mustard or pickles. The tuna sandwich, with lettuce, tomatoes and red onion was quite tasty as well. The food has always been tasty and great. Portion wise are pretty big so there tends to be leftovers for a lot of people. Breakfast is a must as it's alway busy especially during the weekend. So being from Los Angeles, where, when I was growing up, we had a fantastic Jewish delis, the idea of hitting up a place that is still around that still sells the food that I knew in love was too attractive to pass up. To say that Sherman's was a disappointment would be a massive understatement. The egg salad and chopped liver sandwich was pretty bad. First there was barely any egg salad on the sandwich at all. And the chopped liver was Bland and had a really bad consistency. You'd be better off ordering Nationwide delivery from Russ and Daughters. The matzoh ball soup with chicken and noodles was equally bland tasteless. Not to mention the fact that the matzo ball was curiously hard for should be velvety soft. The service was fine, getting my orders wrong multiple times. First, they brought me the matzoh ball soup with no noodles. Then they brought me a pastrami sandwich, even though I ordered egg salad and chopped liver. Sherman has the veneer of an old school Jewish deli with without any of the quality food. Whatever nostalgia I might've had was decimated once I started eating.
