Another overhyped Texas thing. Can't even walk inside the place feels like rush hour traffic and people merging and cutting and running over everyone. This place is absolutely crowded given the size. This place feels like the size of two neighborhood Walmarts but with like 15 times more people inside, can't even browse products because you already have 5 people rushing you and waiting. From what I could observe when I was let browse for a little nothing seemed worth the hype or anything more interesting than your average Walmart. This is the best store in DFW. On par with the Central Markets which are also owned by H-E-B. So many great products that you don't want to stop buying. The BBQ place attached is fantastic. It won't win any "best in Texas" awards but it's top notch. Classic Texas BBQ. What makes this place really stand out are the employees. Always a great friendly experience at HEB. The only negative is that there are so many people everywhere. Too many. But that's because of the stores positive reputation. The grand opening at HEB- Frisco was an adventure for sure. I expected it to be crowded since today was the grand opening but it was more than what I expected. The line was down the street at each entrance of the store. It took me about 10 minutes or so to park but I did get a good parking spot. There were a lot and I mean a lot of people there. I loved that there were people there to help with parking and HEB workers were outside bringing the baskets in and helping as needed. I was warmly greeted upon entry of the store and received information about the digital coupons and in store coupons. The in store coupons are conveniently located in the store by the item for customers to use if they don't have an online account. This store is huge! There is so much to peruse within the store....highlights- bbq area, deli area, chauceterie board area, desserts, and a cooking station...they prepared steak and truffle Mac and cheese....I had a sample and it was delicious...I ended up purchasing the Mac and cheese. There were a lot of great sales going on this week for the grand opening. I found that the regularly priced items were comparable to other grocery stores. Once I was ready to check out, I liked that all lanes were open..though it took me about an hour to check out (lol..I packed my patience...all went well), I was able to use all coupons and saved about $20 with the coupons. The store is always clean and well stocked ,I am so amazed at the eggs. There are so many. I am on a high protein diet and I purchase a rotisserie chicken every week. They are so good. So much can be said about HEB. So I'll break it down by department. 1. Let's start off with the BBQ joint. Their brisket is some of the best I've had in Dallas. Hutchins may be their biggest competitor. And that's saying something. But be careful, they will run out. Their turkey is also delicious. I will admittedly say I wish the portions were a bit bigger on the meat. But what can you do? They aren't priced badly, but not great either. 2. The produce section is really nice, lots of variety. My only complaint is that I've been there a couple of times, and for some reason, they've run out of things. Where are you shallots? Did you get lost on the way to the store? 3. The deli is the true shining star of this store. My goodness, their cheese section puts the Kroger one to shame! But they have such a great lunch meat selection and prepared meals. Their sushi is actually quite fantastic. 4. The bakery is nice, but a little small: smashed between the deli and the produce sections. The tortillas are obviously famous, for good reason. But the baked goods are two big thumbs up. 5. Seafood and meat departments are runners up to the star of the show. A ton of variety here. I just wish they had more untrimmed brisket. But, HEB spare ribs are kind of small, but the Smithfield are here too and priced well. The salmon in the display case looks mouthwatering. I do wish they would sort the ground beef better. The last time I was there, it was hard to determine what cost what. Overall, though, it's fun to just look through the bins and see what they have. 6. General groceries are pretty nice, with lots of variety, especially in foreign foods. But please HEB, make Ramen noodles easier to find, and I don't mean the Maruchan packets. I really like HEB's chip selection. 7. Cold food is great, and HEB eggs are actually affordable. Milk is also nicely priced. If you need bacon, they have plenty of it. 8. The freezer section is like produce, a lot of variety, but at times feels odd they are sold out. But they have good variety. I enjoy HEB brand ice cream. The sopapillas ice cream is so good! 9. In home items and pharmacy, they have plenty of what you need. Obviously, Wally World is still better priced on most things. But I found that the HEB butcher paper is pretty reasonably priced. 10. Overall, the store is probably my favorite supermarket. Aldis and Walmart (minus their meat) have better prices, but they lack the selection. Other chains just flat can't compete. Their in store coupons are pretty cool. I also like that they don't have a shopper card to get sales. But they do use digital coupons. I'm really glad they're in the area. I think I was being hyped up so much about HEB by my native Texan friends, that I went in with my expectations too high. Granted, it's nuts right now- I can't use the tollway & main exit bc of all the crowds. But honestly... It was just a grocery store. Nothing stood out. I'm a miami native and I can compare it to a Publix. It has Whole Foods-ish section in the middle, a lovely flower selection and the grab&go selection was plentiful/diverse. Prices were not out of this world, affordable but also comparable to Kroger. I am planning to come back and hopefully be able to make my rounds again without 700 ppl breathing down my neck. 1st of several new H-E-B stores to open in north Texas especially Collin county. We waited until all the HEB fan boys/girls had got a chance to visit first. It really is very impressive and will give the other grocery store chains in the area lots of competition. The store will also help other small business in and around the area. We went to nearby hamburger restaurant and stopped at HEB afterwards. I was impressed with the number of workers out and about taking care of things. H-E-B takes the cake of grocery shopping experiences! They have a great selection of items , team members are always close by to assist if you can't find something. The sings are large and very easy to read. The only issue is that there are so many people shopping at one time you can barely move around the store without doing the stop and go traffic dance. Totally not as fun but the samples make up for it. They always have a very friendly chef cooking something and explaining it. I love this store and Wilson's recommend any other store! read more

Me and my wife went there today and man was it busy!Ive never had to wait in line just to get into a grocery store.Well the wait was only about ten minutes.Once we got in we were almost overwhelmed because the place is so big.I mean this place is huge.They basically have everything in this store.If you get a chance grab some of their fresh made tortillas.Some of the best I've ever had.I would highly recommend this store if you live in the area.I suggest you wait for a couple of weeks to go if you can because it's pretty crazy around there.I just wished they had one closer to us.We had to drive 30 minutes to get here.It's pretty ironic the store is called HEB but they can't put a store in the HEB area. read more

I get gas here and it's always pretty busy. Every time I come the same two pumps are out of order and today the person in front of me got gas but the pump froze up. Now there are three pumps down out of a total of ten pumps. Other gas stations don't seem to have these problems. read more

I would recommend shopping in the store, but not recommend the pick-up service as I have had too many items left off of pickup orders that I was charged for, and did not receive. I did request a refund of the missing items every time, and did receive a refund, but it's not worth the hassle to keep using the pickup service if this is the new norm. This evening, 3/18/24, at the Main St. location in Frisco, TX, five items we're left off of my order, four were out of stock, one was substituted, and the order was shopped for late. I requested a refund and haven't received it yet. My order was to be picked up between 6:30-7pm, and was still being shopped for after 7pm while I was sitting in the pickup lot waiting. Finally, made it to the newly opened HEB store in Frisco. When we moved from Cedar Park to Allen 2 years I always wished they would open up HEB stores nearby and every time we visit Austin I would aways make a stop at my absolute favorite grocery store. It is still packed even after weeks of opening! I could barely find some parking at 11am and the store inside is also very packed which makes it hard to maneuver your shopping cart. But just be patient and courteous and I promise you will leave the store with everything you need in no time. First of all. Im so impressed how well stocked every isle is even though there are so many shoppers every day. Also the staff is so friendly and helpful. Once I got everything I needed the check out line was very quick. They have like 15 or even more check out lines open and on each they have someone who will bag your groceries for you as well. No other grocery store has the luxury to do that like HEB. If this is your first time shopping at HEB. Don't forget to download their app and clip coupons which would replace those yellow coupons you can find on the items that's on sale. But also in case you forgot to clip in online just grab one of those yellow coupons! And if you wonder if you should try their buttery flower tortilla! Yes! You should! You need to and You want to! My kids love them! Another reason why it's worth for me to drive 25 min. just to go grocery shopping to this location is.. it saves me actually couple trips to multiple grocery stores. After living in Florida and really missing Publix everyone told me I have to check out H-E-B . I'm not going to compare the two chains because they are both amazing in different ways . I do appreciate both chains treat their staff extremely well. During the grand opening the store was packed , there was a line to get in and it was a little difficult to move your cart . I love the pre made food area by the entrance, The meals I purchased have been delicious and priced reasonably. They also had a huge sushi section. Due to the crowd I didn't make it to the produce and the bakery . Check out was amazing, they were so fast and friendly, any other store that did even a fourth of the business H-E-B was doing this would have taken at least 20 minutes. Firstly, I'm a regular customer at HEB in Little ELM at Hwy 380 since their Grand Opening, however today, I ordered groceries to be delivered to my home. I was extremely disappointed because the delivery person didn't follow instructions and "RING The Doorbell" The delivery time was 5:30p and I discovered the groceries left at front door around 6:00pm or thereabout. I was on the other side of the house and didnt realize they had delivered my groceries. Luckily the frozen food was still frozen. I was very concerned because I purchased seafood and frozen veggies. HEB, please counsel your delivery drivers to follow instructions because eventhough it may not seem to be a big deal to them, it sure is a big deal to the customer ordering groceries and paying for it! read more

I moved from Katy, TX to Frisco in 2018. HEB had just opened a new store in Katy a year before I moved. The new store was only a mile from home. I was a happy camper. Previously, I drove about 5 miles to another HEB in Katy. When finding out there was no HEB in the Plano/Frisco area, I sent an email to HEB management requesting they consider fixing the deficiency. Now with the new Frisco HEB (5 miles from home) and soon to open Plano HEB, only 2 miles from me, I'm a happy camper again. I particularly love the large selection of wines and whole bean coffee at HEB Frisco. I found my favorite TEXTBOOK Cab which I could no longer find at Costco and Kroger. I found my favorite Peet's coffee but not my Italian import Illy brand :( Hopefully, HEB will fix that. Thanks HEB. read more

I love HEB. It is my favorite grocery store of all time. They usually have so many great deals that are unmatched by most of the offerings at the other grocery stores in the Dallas and surrounding suburbs. The company's Central Market is great, but HEB is what the majority of people would prefer grocery shopping at because it is much more affordable. I am so glad that HEB is finally here and even drove 40 minutes just to see this location. I went this weekend and the staff was extremely nice. There was a line to get in, but it moved fast. There's also ice cold water to help with the Texas heat. Once inside I was surprised with how big it was. It's slightly smaller than the HEB on Bunker Hill in Houston and the HEB Plus in Austin, but it's probably closer to that size than it is to most standard HEB stores. It's opening week so the store was extremely crowded. It was difficult navigating the store and check out took forever (even with all the extra temporary cash registers too), but I'm sure this will get better once the opening hype dies down. Now the food selection is absolutely phenomenal. There were so many great deals in the weekly ad AND even more specials/discounts in the iconic yellow coupon papers (which you can scan and add to the HEB app if you don't feel like carrying those around). Credit where credit is due, customers were buying everything like crazy but the employees ensured that everything was constantly being restocked. You have the produce section (with huge and fresh produce), the seafood section, meats section (they even sell dry aged meat!), cheese station, bakery, sushi station, prepared meal section, chef demo/prep area, aisles of frozen food, wine section, dairy area, aisles of packaged foods, pet section, holiday section, pharmacy, home section, and even a BBQ restaurant too (hopefully it lasts unlike the restaurant that opened with the HEB in Houston at the San Felipe location and the other ones with coffee/drink bars). The selection is unmatched by any grocery store in the DFW area. I ended up spending almost $300 (coping because it said I saved almost $180 on my receipt) while I stocked up for football Sunday. Some of the things I ended up buying were ribeyes at $5/lb, snow crabs, $5 lobster tails, sausage that came with free hot dogs, gigantic honeycrisp apples, free bacon, bacon that also included breakfast sausage, HEB ice cream, salmon (came with a free wooden plank for grilling), lunch meat (came with free cheese), pasta (came with free sauce), truffle mac and cheese ($3 off at the cooking demo station!), dog food (25% off Blue brand!), chips, hummus (free chips), pizza, and so much more that came with even more free stuff or discounts. You have to get the butter tortillas at HEB. It is a tradition. Yes there is a line to get some since they make it fresh, but it is totally worth it. There's not much else great things I can say about HEB. They're a great company and treat their employees much better than other companies. When my sister was still in high school, HEB specifically came over to Heights High School near where the new Heights HEB was opening up in Houston a few years ago to give students an opportunity for work and paid them much more than other grocery stores. It was the same thing with her friends over in the Buffalo Heights area on Washington Ave 3 years ago. I can't think of any other grocery company that is willing to give everyone a chance and treat them with respect. I can't wait until they open the other locations because they are closer to me. I especially hope they will open a store inside the city of Dallas (maybe a multi story HEB store like they have in the rich but crowded urban areas in other cities). This place is grocery heaven lol. So much variety and great prices. The store was super clean and the samples were delicious what we would've spent at the normal "grocery store" would have been at least $50-$75 more. I was actually very surprised at the plant selection too! Beautiful plants and modern vases. Clean bathrooms! I'm coming here at least every other weekend to do my shopping for the week. HEB Frisco is a mismanaged zoo with poor customer service. I understand why there is positive hype around HEB with the produce and prepared meals. However it is not worth the hassle that HEB creates. We waited 35 mins to checkout because the lines were being mismanaged and other lines were flowing faster. We also had to bag our own groceries after all that. Curbside and delivery are the worst in town. We always receive expired, or within a couple days, items. The produce is usually always bruised or has soft spots. When you order meat, it gives an average on what you should receive, but it's never close. Today's order said we should receive around 2.15 lbs of hamburger meat when we placed the order.... we received 1.4 lbs. Maybe hire someone who is not 16 to do your orders. There is always something wrong on every order. If I didn't have to pay for this service, I wouldn't care, but since we do, I can say it's NEVER been 100% close to correct. There is no way to do a review on there website, and that is why this service has so many poor reviews on independent sites. I'm done paying for what I'm not receiving. read more

I was so excited to see HEB Fisco was cook crawfish. I drove there from McKinney today..prepared to bring home 25 lbs..even as expensive as they are this year..didn't want to cook myself and clean up. I was thoroughly disappointed. First of all, as I waited in line I asked if I could taste one (before I shelled out $200.00) but the young man said no. So I waited my turn, to buy 1 crawfish to taste. In the mean time, the young man took out a finished batch and then put a new bag in the pot. He added NOTHING other than crawfish to the pot...no salt, no new seasoning, just crawfish. He came down with a sneezing attack and the young lady took over. When it was my turn, I ordered 1 crawfish..confused..she asked 1pound, and I told her I had asked the young man it I could taste one and his response. She allowed me to taste one. No salt, no seasoning on the "inside" of the crawfish..just the outside. I declined to place an order. She said they season the first pot, but no salt afterwards. I used the app to place a pickup order for the simple ready meals. I received 8 meals and all of them expired in 1 day or already expired. I went back to the store to return them and noticed there was no customer service center to return them. I was told to wait in the long check out line. As soon as I got to the register we started the return process but needed a manager to approve the transaction. The cashier sat on the phone for 20 minutes trying to get a manager for approval. Finally a manager came over to approve. The whole process was long and frustrating. read more

Strange to say this but they have too many staff members on the floor. It was 2pm on a Thursday and the store was packed full of shoppers however it wasn't the shoppers that kept blocking my way it the the dang employees in their hidious red polo shirts. There must've been 3 to 4 employees in every aisle. That's poor staff management. My biggest complaint is dairy. They had cheese down in one end of the store and milk and eggs down on the other and the selection was typical to what you'll find in a Kroger. It's just big and busy. Shelves are pretty empty. I was surprised by how their own brand items were not even on the shelve. Ice cream, eggs milk seem to just not be restocked or available. No one asked if I was finding everything ok or anything either. Opening day corporate people did but it just goes to show that type of help was only for the opening. Went there for lunch today. Nobody in line when I get there I order two slices brisket sandwiches, beans and cornbread. I sat patiently and waited. Five or six people ordered after I was waiting on my food. They served every single person first. I inquired about my order and friendly cashier says let me check they are taking a long time on to it order. Then says they are just waiting on one sandwich. Then they serve the same sandwich to two more customers that just ordered. After lengthy wait guy comes from back and hands me my food. I asked why they served everyone else before me for the same food. He just shrugs his shoulders and doesn't say a word and almost drops my to go order on the spot. Crappy service. Although ordered to sliced brisket sandwiches one was half sliced and the other half was chopped (which is cheaper if the two). Food was just alright nothing special.
