My wife and I were actually on our way to Starbucks when we stumbled upon heights cafe. I'm honestly not too interested in hookah, but this spot is an exception. We ordered the mint tea in a pot , and the presentation was beautiful complete with amazing customer service. The interior decor features hookah accessories hanging from fixtures on the ceiling, and isn't too appealing, but the spot-on customer service and the " members only" vibe is enough to keep me coming back. read more

This hookah lounge is the best I've found in San Antonio if you're looking to have a chill night. They have great outdoor seating, food is outstanding, and BYOB. Went on the 17th, Very happy with the food and the prices, very affordable and very open. A nice place to come and unwind. One employee was awesome but he was not our server. The female server on the other-hand was quite rude and didn't seem to care about her job all too much. I also work in food service, I've had those days before too. But this employee really just came across rude and unwelcoming. Hummus was great, and for the prices they really do give great portion sizes. I will return despite the rude server, I enjoyed my time spent here and am willing to spend more money at this establishment. Very clean...and if hookah is your thing but your wallet is a bit flat, this is the place to go for a late night unwind. Maybe next time the server won't be on an off day! read more

I didn't want to drive all the way to Naara, and was in the area so I decided to give Habibi a try. I tried the habibi plate and it was pretty good. I really liked the rice here, it's really good. The falafel is good too as well as the salad that comes with the plate. I really didn't like their hummus at all. It was really bland and flavorless, but looked really pretty on the plate. Had the gyro plate here tonight. Oh my god. It was amazing. Boyfriend had the falafel plate and said it was pretty good too. My fries were the best I've ever had. Pricing was decent. Hookah was Meh. We had the double apple and mint. Couldn't taste the apple. Just tasted like sweet mint. Didn't get ID'd and when I asked, I was told "oh we don't really do that here...". Which I find irresponsible, but whatever. There was kids in the area where people are doing hookah, so it can get loud and annoying. Other than that, it was great :) read more

Only reason I didn't give it five stars is it was pretty warm inside, enough to make you sweat. The ac would cool it off a little but every time the door opened it would get warm again. The waitress recommended getting the pineapple head next time. Free Wi-fi. This is probably the worst place ever. I showed him a photo of what I wanted and he rung it up. Waited 10-15 min and opened up the box of food and saw that he gave me a tabouli salad or whatever. I told him that I didn't want that and that he got the order wrong, the cashier guy tried to tells me that's not the picture you showed me and I told him, yes sir it is (and bring my phone out and showed him) then he said oh we don't have that anymore. I told him "why would you ring it up if you don't have that"? So then he said well I'll have to ring it up separately ... meaning he wanted me to pay another free for his mistake!! I was like no, how can we fix this? And he said "OK OK I'll ring it up differently and I'll get you that Greek salad. So I wait 7 more minutes and he comes back and I check the food and it's a salad but not a Greek salad. So I'm like okay and I left to my car. I looked at the food again and said "omg is this iceberg" in my head and go back inside and ask them about the lettuce and he said "it's romaine" and I'm like "ok that's weird because it looks like iceberg so he reassures me and I leave back to my vehicle. I check the salad once more before I leave and I'm thinking "Greek salads have red onions and I'm missing those" so here I go back again inside to ask him where's the red onions, he then tells me that there is no red onions on Greek salad. I'm like I looked at the menu and it says onions! So he's like "let me check the mention" , he looks at menu and there it says "onions" and he replied to me with "OH they are green onions" ... I'm like "green onions on a Greek salad"? And he said yeah... I then say "ok well do you have red onions and he says no we have no ions just white onions.... I'm like ok nvm and walk to my car .... guys I was so disappointed I wanted to just go back and get a refund and which I should have. So I leave home and when I open the food and taste it the hummus tasted DISGUSTING like old, gasoline, moth balls. The only thing I touched was the falafel which we me and my wife tried and was like wow this is crunchy as hell we then continue to discuss let's go back and get our refund in the morning , this is unacceptable..... (Let me mentioned the workers don't even know the menu) I saw only 3 falafel pieces In the box as well. NEXT AFTERNOON: we call before hand and a lady cashier answered and said they would have to ask the manager if we could get a refund , we even mentioned we didn't eat anything but 1 of the falafels each. So then she called the manager, called me back and said "the manager said we can't give you a refund" and I'm like wtf why not??? The food was horrible, you gave me the wrong order, everything wasn't as described and I just want my money back , it's our first time going here and it's been a horrible first impression and now your telling us you can't give us a refund" and (we are already on our way to the shop) so we pull up and I go inside and tell them what's going on, the cashier calls the manager for me and puts me on the phone with him.... he then continues to say that since you ate 2 of the falafel pieces I can't give you a refund and will only offer 20% off next purchase ... WTF? What about the 80% of food I didn't even touch? He said that since all the food wasn't there treat he could t refund us it. Like I was so heated and he says that "oh I'm sorry you feel that way, sorry you feel that way" like what kind of customer service. I told him your not a habibi cafe .... your not a brother at all. This isn't brotherly cafe. This is a rip off and he had the audacity to get anger with me and I told him "isn't the customer always right" and he said "yes, but you won't be getting a full refund because you ate the falafel". So then he said "ok, I'll give you 20% back which is TWO DOLLARS and "I said two dollars of what I ate"? That doesn't even make since so if I ate 80% of the food you'd give me 80% back and he said "no" and I said you know what your not a brother and this place will be getting a one star review and you will go down for this. This is not how you treat a first time customer. Guys go elsewhere! Theres a lot of other Greek and hooker combo places around!!! Please don't come here.... the food sucked. Hummas tasted horrible and the salad was disgusting. Can't believe they get business possibly because of the hooks and free internet. Go elsewhere if you can. One of the best places in town. Clean, great staff, and a relaxed place to study. The food is excellent and is one of the few places to get items like tabouli salad and chicken shawarma bowl. The only negative is that they throw their plastic hookah pipes in the trash after each customer which I can't imagine is environmentally friendly. Ever since I come for only the food. read more

Place is great. Clean, nice and spacious with lots of windows so you don't get that dark raver feel. I also love that they have futons to sit back and smoke some good clean hookah. Awesome neighborhood hookah bar and Mediterranean cafe! We got there about 5:45 and the place was quiet with only the staff and some good music playing. We ordered a hookah and Chloe, our waitress, was more than helpful and knowledgeable about the flavors available. We decided on honey vanilla and orange, which ended up being awesome and never harsh. My friend ordered some hummus which appeared homemade and was served with fresh warm pita bread. He also had a pot of Turkish coffee which was thick and rich, the way it should be. Later I had the meat pizza which was topped with beef shawerma. Awesome again! We stayed until about 9:00 and at that time it had been getting steadily busier. I've been to many hookah bars throughout san antonio. This is the only one that has refused to let a party of 3 have a single hookah. They enforced a "maximum of 2" policy and required us to purchase a more expensive hookah that was twice as much. I would have gladly purchased a bowl refill like every other hookah bar lets you do, rather than twice as much for an extra person. Really put a damper on the whole experience. read more

Recommended to me by an older woman who was fascinated that a hookah bar that seemed to be just a café from the outside and wanted to know if thats where younger kids were going, I checked it out. The scene was very relaxed with low futons facing one another, low lights, and of course sprawled out twenty-something year olds puffing on hookah. The only thing that conflicted with the atmosphere was the music that was way too loud and fast for such an easy crowd. One thing that I will praise about Alamo Heights is that I was allowed to smoke comfortably inside. The service was attentative, bringing us cards and an ashtray and napkins, and the hookah was flavorful. We expected more food for the price it was at, but it was not bad. Terrible service, the food was not even good or worth the money. We had seven people in our party and multiple of us ordered the shawarma wrap, which barely had any meat. We had to send it back. I am not going to pay for just bland rice & some bread, I am paying for the meat. After all of the 6 others in the group got done with their meal, the other persons food came out. Even though i live in the medical center this place is worth the drive. I have already been to this place two times and already I am very impressed. First of all the hookah is excellent. Both times i have gone is has been smooth and the flavors i have gotten, orange and watermelon, have been great flavors. In addition, the food and drinks are fantastic. My friend got the falafel wrap and I got the hummus and they were both delicious. I also got a pot of their Turkish coffee which was both flavorful and well made. Finally the service is excellent. The entire time I was there i was taken care of and everything we ordered was out in good time. The owner, Jason, was both friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome while I was there. The location is easy to find. It's right across the street from the Nix Alamo Heights center. I will definitely be going back. read more
