One of the better places in San Antonio for shisha with affordable prices, good service, and plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. On Wednesdays, Shisha is only $8.99, an awesome deal! We told our server what kind of flavors we liked and just asked him to surprise us, and he did not disappoint, adding the right amount of mint and fruitiness. The only issue we had was the shisha was way too harsh at first, but it improved quite a bit after we moved the coals around, and the ice hose helped as well (extra $3). It's not the best shisha I've had, but relative to the other options in the city, it's up there on top. I do wish the indoor seating was a little more comfortable, the couches are pretty worn out and don't provide much cushion. The seasoned fries here are actually really good with generous amount of spices! Pretty much every hookah lounge serves "seasoned" fries, but the seasoning is nowhere to be found with very little flavor. The fries end up either burnt and bland or soggy and bland. Habibi Cafe serves them hot and fresh, cooked perfectly with crispy golden on the outside and soft on the inside. My friend is the one who ordered them, but I couldn't get my hands off the plate! I wish they were located closer to the med center area so I could visit more often! read more

The staff was very friendly. I went on a Friday evening for some Mediterranean food. The music was very loud inside. I got my order to go, an order of falafel and a chicken schwarma wrap. The falafel were OK, but way too greasy and overcooked. The schwarma was terrible, I didn't know you could mess that up. It was a tortilla with some chicken chunks and a pickle. Quality service, affordable, it's my favorite hookah in town - and I've tried MANY. I've been here a few times now and every single time has been lovely. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. Our servers are always sweet and quick to recommend any food or shisha flavors if we're being indecisive. Every time, they're great recommendations. I've had the house hot tea, and it's delicious. The hummus is simple and creamy - a fave. Their Greek salad is only $5 and it's probably my favorite thing. The hookah is only $15 for starbuzz which is totally reasonable, especially for the quality of service you're getting along with it. The only cons I have are that there's a 2 person limit per hookah. I can understand a limit, but 2 is too few. 3 would make more sense to me. If my 2 friends and I come, one of us has to have a hookah completely to ourselves. It's just not ideal. Pro tip: they are BYOB with a cover charge. $10 for each case of beer and $15 per bottle of whatever. Try this place out. It's worth it. read more

Habibi Cafe is great!!!! The staff treats you like family, they are very friendly. The food is tasty , very different , it is mediterranean. They play music inside and out of the Cafe, two different types of music if you want two different vibes. Who doesn't want options ? & last but not least their Hookah is AWESOME!! Very disappointing not only due to the quality and taste of the food but also due to the lack of cleanliness. We decided to try this place because of the 4.5 stars that it has on Yelp but we later realized that this was not because of their food but because of their Hookah (I don't smoke so my review is based solely on food and cleanliness). Couches were dirty, old and torn. It seemed as if they don't clean very well since we noticed cobwebs in the corner where we were sitting. The food was mediocre at best and even though the waitress assured us before ordering that the food was fresh and made there, after receiving my food it was clear that this was not true. I ordered the gyro wrap and the pita bread tasted like it was weeks old since it had a stale and hard texture to it. Not soft at all. Gyro meat and tzatziki sauce was bland. I'd say that the best part of what I ordered was the $2 fries and $2 water bottle (seriously...$2 for a water). Service from the waitress was not bad. In my opinion the food is overpriced for what it is and we would not come back. read more

We ordered the Gyro plate and the meat was very bland, the tzatziki sauce was just bad, it didn't taste like any tzatziki I've ever had before, but even at that it just tasted bad. For the longest time I've been meaning to try this place and finally had a chance to stop by here after work. I had no idea what to expect, but from the reviews, I figured I'd give it a try. The atmosphere is really chill and I noticed the outdoor seating which looked nice and relaxing. I sat inside and decided to order a vanilla latte and a wrap that had chicken and pickles inside. Unfortunately, I really was not a fan of either. The wrap didn't taste bad, but it was missing flavor and didn't have many pickles inside ...the latte was ok... I guess I'm partial to other local coffee shops in Sa and compared it to those. I may come back to try something else, or maybe even the hookahs, but altogether it didn't leave me satisfied . I will say that the girl that helped me at the counter was extremely friendly and thats nice considering most people in the service industry these days lack personalities. Unfortunately, after having lived in the Middle East for 7 years, I cannot believe how horrible the service was at Habibi Cafe. My husband and I left this establishment feeling extremely offended. Firstly, we were trying to enjoy our shisha and we were the first people in the room. After that, they sat a larger table of people directly next to us when the entire place was empty. After some time, they asked us to move to a smaller table because outside was "full" and this area was full too. Please keep in mind that there were only few people in the entire establishment. My husband had to adjust/fix our hookah pipe because nobody came to us. We were so excited to visit this place thinking we might receive Arabic hospitality, but instead we left feeling disrespected. I think most likely they wanted us to buy more. I could not enjoy my tea nor shisha because they were staring. In the end, they lost more business because we will not go back, and those that referred this place to us will not go either. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who wants a true welcoming hookah experience. read more

It was so outstanding we ended up ordering a second one. I had the lemonade with mint which is a blended ice drink and it was the perfect hot summer night drink. The hookah service was really top notch which is so important when it comes to hookah. If you have ever had bad hookah service it really takes away from the experience.
