They have a great $10 meal deal, that comes with half of their Santa Barbara char sandwich, a side of choice, chicken bites, and a medium drink. It tastes really good - I'd say habit is better than in n out. The best part about the meal is the amount of chicken bites. It's supposed to come with 5, but mine came with close to 12. Kids love this place and I would say adults find their salads pretty delicious and I would've done a salad, but I always get the chicken club because it's a pretty delicious avocado filled with pretty good amount of bacon. His life is because you always get the hamburger gummy after and they love the grilled cheeseburger that seems like it's pretty quick to make. I always enjoy the tempura green beans and I would say it's pretty delicious but again for the cost and what you're doing. It's all pretty even among these fast food chains. When I would add is that they provide the jalapeño peppers and it's pretty easy to grab and a lot of condiments to pick from. I've always had a good experience here. Parking in the plaza lot is plentiful. Restaurant is modern and inviting, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Ordering from the self-order kiosks (or online) is easy. Service is quick and friendly, with workers providing extras (like sauces/condiments) with a smile. Most of all, they make my order accurately every time, even with customizations. During my recent midweek visit, I got a caesar salad with bacon and ahi tuna, and tempura green beans with ranch. Everything was cooked and prepared perfectly, fresh greens, decent-sized grilled ahi fillet (not as good as the discontinued tenderloin steak I used to get with my salads here, but still worth the try), crumbly pieces of bacon adding just the right saltiness and a nice crunch, and light and crisp green beans on the side... delish! This isn't one of my top fast food chains, and I can't speak for their burgers, but when I want a convenient and satisfying good ol' salad, or those addictive tempura green beans to snack on, I can always count on The Habit in Cupertino. read more

Wow I used to really love this place and it's now disappointing to say that the burger I got did not live up to my past expectations. I got my usual teriyaki char and it just let me down. The bun was toasted but tasted stale and too charred. The beef patty wasn't warm at all and the texture didn't feel springy like a fresh patty would feel. Truly a disappointing burger. The service was nonexistent for pickup. I had to find my order on the counter and no one checked my receipt and made sure I got my food. The service basically was as cold as my burger. They even forgot to give me the included ranch for the tempura green beans. The only redeeming factor was the perfectly fried tempura green beans. They were hot, crispy even after driving home, and the beans looked very fresh. I truly hope the other Habit locations aren't this bad as it would be a shame to have one of my favorite fast food places go downhill. read more

A burger joint that's offering fast food but a bit of a customized burger. I'm happy with the varieties on the menu including burgers and sandwiches with avocado and teriyaki and pineapple and Korean BBQ-style of meat. Bacon can be added on as well. There are two order kiosks and the counter was only for food pickup. I tried the Santa Barbara burger but came out as a sandwich, but that's fine as it still has the same fillings of avocado, lettuce, tomato, bacon, beef patty and American cheese (you choose the cheese type). It's slightly too salty for me but good flavor and a good mix of meat and veggie. The side salad is the most disappointing as it tasted frozen, the scent from over refrigerated. I didn't order salad dressing, so the taste became quite obvious, maybe with the dressing it would cover it up. Fries are good, I heard comments that they are better than McDonald's. There's hit and miss on the take out order like we didn't get ketchup for the fries even I asked for it in the order. Make sure you select napkin if you need it as you need to request when selecting an item. Overall food making speed is fine, we got our order in less than 10 minutes wait on a Sunday lunch. I got takeout since I was meeting up with my family and friends, and I was surprised their ordering system actually text me to say my order/pick up was ready! Love this place whenever I want comfort fast food. The Santa Barbara sandwich is my favorite and I split it with my boyfriend because it's so big. Everything else is delicious, but because everything's fried in their high omega 9 reused rapeseed oil, it has that subpar classic Denny's/diner taste (they use the same oil) that will give inflammation/acid-reflux/indigestion more than anywhere else. What really bumped the rating up for me is how I saw the staff treat their customers. The dude in front of me ordering had a lot of questions. And the woman taking his order was really patient and explained the menu to him in a concise, yet helpful way. While waiting for my food, some other dude came in with a large bag of his order. I'm not going to re-start the debate on the Best Burger in the South Bay but, with the demise of Clarke's in Mountain View, Habit Burger should be in the conversation. (Spoiler alert: I would not vote for In N Out.) Oddly COVID restrictions got me to try Habit and I was very positively surprised. My hands down fav is the Santa Barbara Char but the Golden Fried Chicken Sandwich doesn't need to apologize to anyone. The Santa Barbara is a double burger with Cheese & Avocado added on top of the normal ingredients and served on Grilled Sourdough. One of the things that makes Habit stand out is the base burger comes with caramelized onions. Points to Habit. The Santa Barbara comes in at nearly 1000 calories so it's a big meal. Several times I've had half for lunch and the other half for dinner the same day. Pair it with a salad or something healthy (counteracts the burger guilt) and you have two solid meals for the price of one. I'm a fan of the fries as well. They aren't as wimpy as In N Out and have more flavors than McD. This location has contactless down pat. Order online and They'll deliver to the dedicated spots for you car or you can pickup inside. The food was delicious. Haven't been to the Habit in about 6 months. The food is good, it is a solid meal. I do feel it is on the pricier side, and it might explain the 6 month gap. I am not a fan of the order consoles, I would rather talk to a person. The consoles don't allow for full customization, as if you were talking to someone. I went in at about 1 on a monday, and the establishment was fairly empty. All in all, I enjoyed the food and the visit. Would like to see more interaction from employees when entering. I've been to this location of the Habit a few times over the past few weeks. I can always count on good, fresh, and delicious food from the Habit. This location has kiosk ordering which makes everything so easy. All you do is just order your food from the kiosk, take your receipt to the front so you can pick up any sodas or drinks you ordered, and then just wait for your number to be called. This location is always busy, so the food can take a tad long to be ready, but I don't mind the wait. You can't go wrong with any of the burgers or sandwiches, but I especially recommend the ahi tuna burger. The tuna is always cooked perfectly moist, but not too dry. I also like how you can swap out any of the buns with a lettuce wrap to save on calories. Love the food and service provided here. I will defiantly stop in the next time I'm in the area. read more

Unfortunately the cooks have repeatedly made mistakes on food orders & when asked for a refund they refuse to offer refund on the spot rather they say you have to wait till they email someone in corporate office also their refund policy from what was explained refuses them to refund customers on the spot, even you get wrong order, what a shame. Management doesn't offer much to help other then rude lip service & mean attitude as if it's your fault the order was wrong. They make you feel you were at fault & uncomfortable especially when the cooks in the back are giving you a mean stare down wow.
