There is nothing about this place's menu, location or concept that comes close to making eating there a habit for me. Mind you, I have a very addictive personality. Tobacco, alcohol, caffeine, adrenaline, video games, etc. are all habits of mine. Perhaps this place's name is a pun on a nun's wardrobe? Given my experiences here, that would make more sense. Pretty sure the price point is the same as Five Guys. If you're going to blow that much for garbage food, you may as well go for juicy which is diametrically opposite what this place is. read more

k first off I LOVE the habit. i thinks it's better than any of the burger joints in Utah not just because it's yummy but also because it's not super greasy and a good size. I've gone to a new burger place that opened up just down the way and it was the same price for a greasy burger that was half the size. The habit is worth it! The only thing i don't like is that when I order green beans, they always say they have a bag with the same amount of green beans in them when they cook but several times when I have gotten them the portion size is like 8 green beans when I look at other people's regular fries order and the carton is full. I simply don't think they should be charging three dollars for a "unique" side when the portion size is super small. up the portion size of the tempura green beans and im a habit fan for life!!! And our kids love the hamburger gummy thy comes with their kids meals. That's their favorite part. Plus it's always clean and has nice restrooms. Sandy UT - Santa Barbara style! I know it's a chain but what can I say I adore this place! One of the spots I missed the most when I moved out to Utah from California was The Hat. I just couldn't find a burger that satisfied my craving. But finally The Habit moved in and they do the sourdough bread with the heaps of avocado that I missed so much. The Santa barbara style is just how I like my burger. On sourdough with avocado and cheese. The default is a double patty but if you're not that hungry you can ask for it as a single. They are super accommodating and friendly when I was off dairy for nursing purposes they were great and made my burger without the cheese and held the butter on the bread. When I was trying to kick my caffeine habit I was grateful for their diet caffeine free coke option. I'm back on caffeine, it's too good. And I am obsessed with their tempura green beans. They are the perfect side and I love their ranch. But the fries are definitely solid. First of all, the price of a meal is super reasonable (a burger, huge fries, and a drink for $8.00) which got me off to a great start at this restaurant. Yay for Habit! It's nice to see them expanding like mad in Utah. They are a pretty convenient fast burger joint with fast prices but with better than fast food foods. While you might need to a wait a hot minute when ordering at the counter in real time during a lunch or dinner rush, their online ordering is pretty nifty. I was able to order with all my customizations and indicate what time to pick up. Perfect for ordering during boredom in class and grabbing on the way home (leaving early from boredom in class, oops). I did still have to wait a bit for my order when I got there but it wasn't a huge sin, and I appreciated the made-to-order freshness. I enjoy their teriyaki charburger SO much. It's my go-to for that not-so-basic burger. And their onion rings and sweet potato fries are FANTASTIC. I have been to habit burger several times in Phoenix but this was my first visit to this location. As I have come to expect the burger was good, I had the original char burger with cheese and bacon and my fiancée had the BBQ bacon. Both burgers were well prepared even though I generally like one a bit less well done than they serve them. As always though the real standout is the milkshakes. The hand blended shakes made with real ice cream are amazing. We love The habit. We hear all the time with our kids. They have some of the best fries in the area. Hands down better fries than shake shack and smashburger and In-N-Out. I go back and forth between these and Chick-fil-A fries. Food here is usually pretty good. I'm a big fan of the seared tuna on a seeded bun with a teriyaki sauce. My wife almost always gets the char burger with cheese. Kids always get the nuggets and fries. The strawberry lemonade drink they have is my go-to. I will say it is a quality burger even though it's not nearly as good as smashburger or shake shack. The burger patty is a little dry and bland. The people are always friendly, and very accommodating. Up until now there's very little that I would ever say negative about the habit. This last visit however reminded me of a couple of things that do bother me when we go. Their tables are always messy. My wife regularly has to use two to three cleaning wipes from her purse to clean off the table. They always come off gray when she's done. This last time was no exception. The table was gross. After sitting we realized the worst part was under the table. It looked like they swept up the entire restaurant and just threw it under the table we were sitting. Again, The food and the people are great, I just think the habit needs to take a little bit more pride in keeping the restaurant clean just like they do at other places like Chick-fil-A and In-N-out. All three of those places are always busy yet the other two manage to have somebody wiping down tables and sweeping up messes regularly. We love coming here! My daughter always asks to go to the "gummy burger place." Everything is great! Usually I'll get a char burger with which comes with fries and a drink. Normally I have a really good experience with habit burger but this one trip has ruined it for me forever. I got home and realized they didn't put fry sauce in my bag when I ordered french fries. Now I can't enjoy my french fries. But then when I ate into my burger it was the worst put together burger I've ever had from here. Like sloppy and weak. I really don't want to give any stars. I'm normally not one to write horrible reviews but I have never had service like I had tonight. Me and my husband went in to try it out for the first time and right off the bat, the place was easily over 80 degrees. Now I know it's a grill and it is expected because they are making hot food, but it was bad. The gentleman at the counter was very kind and answered all the questions we had and took our order, let us know it would be out in a few and that the buzzer would go off when it was ready. My husband and I got our drinks. The brewed tea tasted like it was days old. We then sat on their bench near the counter and waited as they prepared our food. As we were waiting we noticed that the fry station was kind of torn apart, I should have taken pictures, but at the time I didn't want to be rude, as I assumed maybe they were cleaning up or whatever. As we sat there, there was a try full of fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, and fried green beans, assuming it was for another order, as we sat and watched we soon realized that was just the tray that the man was placing all of his cooked stuff on and the front lady was pulling off of it for different orders. Clearly the fry station guy was way a head of everyone else in the kitchen because the tray was full and he then pulled out a sanitizer bucket and started cleaning the area right above the fryer, which he then proceeded to soak, and all the sanitizer water was going into the frying oil  that he was currently cooking the fries and ect. in. As we sat and watched the lady put together order after order and the fry man continue to drop more and more sanitizer water into the frying oil, we realized that our fries had been cooked in that oil and they had been sitting on the open counter for more than 10 minutes. The lady (assuming the manager on duty) then took her arm and placed in onto the fries, as to be checking the temperature of the fries while our burgers were still being made, she then looked at the fry cook and told him that the fries were sitting up there to long and that they were cold. He took them off of the counter and proceeded to make a decision as to throw them away and make fresh ones or something else. The fry cook then placed them onto the counter paced a moment and then threw all the fries back into the frying oil... We immediately stood up and went to the counter, the kind man who took our order was cleaning tables and saw us get up came and asked us if there was a problem with our receipt, I told him no, we just watched his fry cook put the old fries back into the fryer and that we wanted a refund, he said okay and told his manager (the lady at the front counter), she more or less shrugged her shoulders and said okay, took our receipt, said she couldn't do a refund and that she had to email someone to put the money back on my card. She didn't say anything to the cook and did nothing more than take my receipt. I will not be returning to this location or and other location. If she shrugged her shoulders at recooking old food that has been sitting out, into sanitizer filled oil pans, what else is being looked over in that kitchen? I do just want to give a shout out to the cashier who helped us out, as he was kind and helped us every step of the way. As for the manager and the man cooking, recooking, and contaminating the food, shame on you. I hope you have higher standards for the food you eat. read more

I was craving for burger one day and saw this new burger place. I've order the Teriyaki Charburger because I love burger with grilled pineapple. I mean who doesn't like grilled pineapple. What makes this burger shop different from the other is that it offers tempura green bean, which by the way is must-try. It's way healthier that fries and it tastes as good as French fries too. The burger was really good. The meat inside was so juicy. I think it's because it has sucked up most of the sauce. I'll definitely come again and try out all their burgers. read more
