Literally the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. We ordered three combos with bottled water as the drinks and they only had one bottled water left so they decided to bring me two glasses of tap water with my combos - didnt even ask me what I wanted. They then refused a refund or gift card telling me since I ordered in advance I would have to request a refund through the app but I dont even have the app as I ordered online. This will be my first and last time dining with the habit. Food was just ok anyways - not fabulous. In n out is just as good for less money and has way better service. read more

The Habit used to be a once or twice a week visit. After today, probably not. The Temecula location is consistent. Meaning orders are never correct and we either get the wrong sandwich or sides. The last two visits we discovered when ordering a "double " burger, there was actually one patty and a small sliver of meat in the middle to give the appearance of a double. (Placed where the sandwich is cut.) Unless you open up the sandwich, you'll never really notice it. Last visit, opened up the bread to remove items I asked to be removed, and found one patty. Thought oh well, a small mistake. Today, my husband and I both ordered two different double burgers and found just a single and a tiny piece of burger not even 1" wide in the cut portion that is viewed. I love going to The Habit. If I ever have to choose between going to Jack in the Box or In n Out versus The Habit, The Habit always wins. First off, the staff are always friendly. I'm not just talking about the cashier, I'm talking EVERYONE. They are always polite and have a smile on their face. I've even held a short conversation with most which is always nice and makes me feel welcomed. Second, the food is always well prepared and tasty. The thing I like best is they ALWAYS ask if I want extra ranch and ALWAYS give me the large ones. My family and I love ranch so it's nice to see them willing to give out more, where at some restaurants they hold on to it like it comes out of their wages or they charge extra for it. I have not been to Habit in years. I did stop at one on the way to Arizona recently, and grabbed a lovely albacore tuna sandwich. A week later I went to the habit in Temecula California and ordered the exact same meal. However, it was not the exact same meal, it was a poor second compared to the meal I had off the highway. The Habit is a popular restaurant so i understand being busy. But they seemed very behind today, and when people pick up their food, the workers don't check people's receipts. I waited for my food for about 30 minutes because the lady at the counter had told me mine was still in progress when i first got there. She clearly didn't listen to me when i asked about my order the first time. When i asked a different lady after those 30 minutes, she told me the order had already been picked up. My food was stolen because they didn't ask for any proof of the order from whoever took my food, and i waited longer than i needed to because the first lady failed to listen to me the first time. We have been long time fans of The Habit. The food has always been great and before Covid we really enjoyed spending dinners there with friends and family. Since the changes due to Covid, we've been ordering takeout every month or so. Tonight our order wasn't just wrong. It wasn't what we ordered. I guess the item that I've been ordering for years has been discontinued. We just ate here a few weeks ago and it was on the menu then. Instead of telling us the sandwich is no longer available, the person taking the order just put in an order for a completely different sandwich that I never would've ordered. We didn't realize what had happened until we got home. No big deal. I'll call them and ask them to make me something else and go pick it up. NOPE! You cannot call The Habit Burger Grill on Temecula Parkway. When you dial, you spend at least 4-5 minutes going through prompts, then when a person actually answers, they're at a calling center and cannot do anything to help you. They tell you to go to the website and leave your feedback there. This could've been handled very easily by not choosing an item for me, and telling us the item is no longer available. But this also could've been handled with a three minute phone call. Now I have spent almost 40 minutes making calls and writing emails and now this Yelp review. I'm sad that a place we've always enjoyed makes it so hard to have something they did wrong be fixed. read more

I ordered in the app and it gives you one ranch per side (I ordered onion rings and sweet potato fries) then if you want any extra you have to pay $.50 which is the same now if you order in store. I paid for two extra ranches. I get home to find I have only 2 in the bag, one in a 4oz cup half way full, one in a 2oz cup half way full. So I paid an extra dollar and basically got one 4oz cup...maybe. I manage a restaurant and we give out 4oz cups of ranch that our full and will give unlimited, it's cheaper that way and a better value. Very disappointed. read more

So the reason they missed 5 stars is because they gave us a hard time about ordering one of the sandwiches with "no meat." Basically we order one Santa Barbara Style sandwich regular, and we wanted another Santa Barbara Style sandwich with no meat. So everything, but the meat. Simple enough right?? I guess not... Because they made a big deal about it saying they "can't do that." Well isn't it the same as saying I'll take the blah blah blah budget with no onions? Or no lettuce? Etc... This was extremely irritating. They "had to" make a big deal about it and ring it up as a grilled cheese and add lettuce tomato onions avocado. So they are not very friendly to vegetarians in my opinion. You should be able to order whatever you want and say "no this please" and it shouldn't not matter what the item is. Called to tell them to give them fresh fries and green beans since they would be cold. Left on hold forever. After 8 minutes I hung up and called back. Then I was on hold for a while longer. In the mean time my husband went and picked up the salad. So no fresh fries, no fresh green beans, and whoever answers the phone has no idea what's going on. But the food was great! One of the best burgers in town. This place is consistently good, and reasonably priced. Most fast food combos are the same price, or more expensive than this joint. I came to the habit at 6pm on a Saturday for curbside pickup. Nobody brought my food out so I went inside to get it and they told me they were too busy while there were about 3-4 people eating in there and 5 workers behind the counter. Got home and they didn't give us any dressing for our salads or the extra ranch I had to pay for. The salads were much smaller than I have gotten from any other location I've been too, one was missing bacon, and the lettuce was all wilted. The green beans were cold and undercooked and they barely gave us any green beans or fries. I went back to request our ranch and noticed the floor behind the counter was absolutely filthy with food all over the place. What happened to Temecula Habit Burger!!!! We used to love their service! Ordered a kids grilled cheese meal with a sprite, half /half order of onion rings/fries,and two chocolate shakes with no whipped cream. I am sick in bed, hence why I ordered the simple meal for kiddo and shake for my sore throat. My food came sealed in the bag with the correct order on the receipt stapled to it. Opened the bag to find one kids fry and two reg fries...that's it. No grilled cheese or sprite for the kids meal, no onion rings, and whipped cream in both shakes. I couldn't get thru to the store and instead was routed to a customer service rep who said either complain thru DoorDash or go to the store. How is this customer service? Desperate to just get a damn sandwich for my 6 year old to eat for dinner, I sent my neighbor who was gracious enough to take the bag and receipt in to the store. I thought for sure after explaining we just want the sand which it would get fixed. Nope! They said call their customer support number or go thru door dash to fix it!
