When I crave a burger, my first thought is always habit. They offer a variety of burgers, even a portobello burger! And a two patty burger with avocado and on sourdough!! You don't normally wait too long to get your order either. Their ingredients always taste fresh and I love that they use shredded lettuce. The only downside is that the line can get long and the ordering process isn't fast. The last time I went, I stood longer in line than I spent between ordering and receiving my food. If standing in line with only 2 people in front of me didn't take longer than 10-15 mins, this would be a 5 star rating because I can't really complain about anything else. read more

Was picking up an order from this establishment for a customer via DoorDash/ uber eats. Walk in tell cashier the name she says they were still working on it .. I noticed they were very busy so I waited some time , noticed a lot of orders going out but mine never came around so after some time I decided to ask again was told a second time it was still being prepared.. waited a little more .. at this point they were pretty much caught up on orders so I decided to ask again and this is when the VERY RUDE mexican employee with reddish brown hair tells me that another driver (which must've been a theft) picked up the order and she HANDED it to them and that I need to contact the customer , which per the customer they were never notified of another driver picking up order. long story short they had to remake it because of her not getting enough information/ paying attention before handing out the order .. thankful to the male employee who got the situation handled and taken care of but I think he should teach his coworker customer service and communication skills especially during rush hours! read more

Their staff is always very professional and friendly. Absolutely the freshest and best burger in Temecula! They also make their own ranch dressing on site and it's very good. It's more than just a burger joint as they offer other delicious options such as chicken, tuna and salads. Great fries, too include sweet potato fries and onion rings. It always happens to us!! Every time we call in an order, we ask for an order of sweet potato fries, and when our order is either picked up or delivered, we don't get it. I have purchased plenty of Superfood salads from this franchise before. I stopped tonight and ordered one. Added mushrooms and avocado both were additional fees. I drove home and opened the salad. It was in the wrong container for one. It had no quinoa, there was a small ball of mashed avocado, the chicken was in tiny pieces that lacked any flavor, the ranch dressing was super thin, and the salad was warm. I am so disappointed with this meal. I also got some onion rings. They lacked taste also except for the taste of the oil that needed to be changed. Oh and the one guy bagging the orders kept getting his phone out and then without using any hand sanitizer went right back to touching the food. Gloves anyone? Will not ever be back. This location has poor quality control and customer service. Went in tonight around 9:15. A good 45 minutes before closing. Ordered 2 burgers and fries. Not a cheap place to eat, so was quite upset when the Santa Barbara came out with sourdough that was not toasted, but wet from barely melted butter. They said theyd already turned off their press for the night, but failed to mention it when I ordered. Didn't offer to fix it or refund me. There were other customers in the restaurant, so it wasn't as if they had a reason to close early or turn off their sandwich press almost an hour before closing. read more

First timer! This place is like In n Out. Sharking for seats, long lines, poppin', high schoolers, same stuff. I liked that they had a wider selection of burgers. Not sure what exactly the problem was, seemed to be staffed well enough and the employees were trying, yet I waited 45 minutes after ordering to receive my food. as did everyone else who ordered before me.I have never waited that long, here, or any other location. I was there last night at 6 pm.It was full, but not more than usual. It was just off. My family came tonight for some bacon charbroiled burgers and portabella mushroom. As we were sitting up front waiting for pickup, I watched our server/cashier Mariana changed out the garbage with her gloved hands. I was like .. uh oh... people who wear gloves often times don't feel that they have touched dirty things... and I would speak up if she were to touch food with those same gloves. She didn't. Not only did she took the gloves off, she even went to wash her hands before putting new gloves on to handle food again. Super important. Thank you Mariana! Then we went out to the patio to eat. Remy turned the heaters on for us right away and turned them up high. Thank you Remy! Then I went to the restroom to wash my hands. The automatic faucet dispensed hot water. What an absolute disappointment. I have been coming to this habit since 2016 and it has gone to crap. Service is terrible and all workers are all new. No control whatsoever if you're understaffed or have nothing but newbies why not limit the ways people can order food to dine in only and not online orders or other services like DoorDash if you can't handle the demand. The Habit is one of the 'better burger' chains that is OK. It is not great, and it is better than the standard fast food, but maybe not worth the premium you pay for it. Sunday afternoon, the place was also packed, with a line out the door, but there is ample seating, especially in good weather with the large patio. The fries, especially the sweet potato fries, are very good here, and they do offer grilled onions, which is nice, but beyond that, it ends up being a couple of bucks more than In and Out without really being any better, other than the seating. read more

I love Habit, my only complaint is with the fact no one double checks the Door Dash orders. I ordered today and the one item I was really anticipating, the tempura green beans, was missing! Love those things! I called to complain and was asked if I could come down and pick them up, if I could have I wouldn't have had to order on Door Dash. Anyway, this is the second time I've had an item missing at this location I would ask the manager, which I did ask the person on the phone but was told it was impossible, to train your employees to double double check delivery orders to not disappoint those who love those green beans! I was at your restaurant this afternoon and the place was insane. I witnessed your employees opening sandwiches and moving the food around only to put it back on the tray. Then the next employee came over 15 min later and did the same thing to the same food. The burgers were still sitting there when I walked out 35 min later. I left without my food and will return tomorrow for my refund. Your employees were handling food after working the cash register and not washing your hands. This is a violation of food handlers. The building was near capacity and people were getting very upset. One woman started helping by calling out names to get the food out, only to have that person return and their order was in correct. If you're short staffed then don't open your doors. The food that I witnessed was sitting for over 30 min and not under heat lamps. Bags of app orders were just sitting and orders were just sitting on the counter. I was told by the cashier I could return tomorrow for my refund and I will. Again, if you're short staffed tomorrow then don't open. We were elbow to elbow with people, no one could move and it became a concern for me. I was having troubles breathing with so many people. I will report the violations to Riverside County Health Department first thing on Monday. Along with reaching out to the owners as your on duty Manager clearly wasn't prepared for this level of demand. He was so rude to customers and wasn't expediting the food correctly. I enjoy the food at this place but the reason for my review is the the lack of customer service shown by a manager named Mike and how he embarrassed an employee. I will not name the employee but she was visibly shaken by the treatment she received. I came to eat around 230 this afternoon and one customer used a gift card. There was a dispute about a $20 gift card and right away the manager, Mike, said that he was not at liberty to make an override on the transaction. The amount of the order was $8.11. Mike asked the customer what he wanted to do because he could not lose his job, and became agitated and short with the cusomer. The customer was polite but decided that she wanted to cancel the order. The customer was in disbelief on how this was being handled by Mike and he finally he said "so if I pay the $8.11 you still dont want to eat here?" Then turned and embarrassed the employee. Whether this was a mistake or an issue of miscommunication, it could and should have been handled differently. Mike's tone was condascending and rude to both his employee and manager. The person I was eating lunch with teied to make the employee feel better. I know The Habit has great food and customer service but this situation was embarrassing and awkward for everyone that witnessed it read more

Love this place. I'm on a Keto diet and they have great options for it. I can eat this on the daily! And the tea here is amazing. Amazing Burgers! Delicious sides! I can't pick ONE favorite because they are all so yummy! I have been going to The Habit Burger since 2010! 10 years of loyalty. Their food is so good I am a fan for life. They have many things on the menu and you can't go wrong with anything! My FAVORITE go to is the Santa Barbara Burger. It comes with toasted and buttered sourdough bread instead of the traditional bun. It has 2 beef patties, cheese, Caramelized onion spread l, lettuce, tomato, and avocado! It's amazes me every time! You can either order online and pick up or order in person. There's a good variety to their menu from burgers, sandwiches, salads, and different types of fries. When I come in I always get the teriyaki burger with a side of sweet potato fries and onion rings. We decided to go to lunch at the habit because we were hungry and wanted a tasty lunch. We placed a lunch order for 4. My daughter asked for grilled chicken sandwich but asked for terryaki sauce, pineapple on a multi grain bun. The girl rang in for a seeded bun. When my daughter received her lunch , she let the manager know and asked for replacement bun. The manger instead had it remade. When she told the cook, he responded with a derogatory comment toward my daughter calling her a "chingona" it was very disrespectful. The manager clearly heard the remark and did not address it. When my daughter received the remade chicken sandwich, she felt uneasy about eating the food for fear the cook retaliated against her with the food. It was a bad experience. I also initially asked for one burger to go but when I asked for a bag and the manager insisted on bagging it and reprimanded me as she bagged the food. She told me next time to be more specific when ordering even I did that initially. We went during a busy time but I felt the customer service was disappointing and unprofessional. I love their food. We used to drive all the way to Murrieta location which is not that close to Temecula parkway. So happy they are finally here in Temecula. Everything is great here! I love their Ahi sandwich! Their chicken sandwiches are great too. The parking is very limited and can get annoying as they built a shopping center in the parking lot of the Home Depot shopping center. Went today for the first time. On the Plus side 1. Burgers have great flavor and not overcooked - better than In-N-Out and Five Guys 2. Fries - Nice and crispy just the way I like them! (I hate soggy and/or soft fries) 3. Prices very reasonable 4. Fresh salads and other choices besides burgers 5. Always made fresh and faster reception of food next to Five Guys AND In-N-Out 6. Side garden salad and side ceaser salad were good and lettuce was fresh On the Minus 1. Fries were not as hot as I would have liked - they sat for awhile up on a tray with a lot of other fries waiting to be served. They weren't under a heat light to keep them warm. :( 2. Burgers were thin - would like a hearty sized burger rather than having to order a double "skinny" burger Next time I will try the Ahi Tuna sandwich. They also have sweet potato fries for those who prefer that. The food is fresh. I would have ordered chicken but I don't like Teriyaki sauce. All in all the line was STILL out the door when we arrived despite some of the less than positive reviews I just read here. I was going to think it was an after race partay! Apparently not. Line was long that day because of us,hungry and thirsty Spartans but everyone had a good time bragging about the race. I am a frequent customer of the habit burger grill and usually they get the order right most of the time but this time was different. My order clearly stated "no mayo" for the impossible burger and they included mayonnaise which I am allergic to. This is only in the Temecula Location. Never have I seen such bad service except in this area. Franchise restaurants in other locations seem to get it right the first time. The order was placed on Thursday, January 12, 2023 @ 6:59PM. The order clearly states no mayo for the impossible burger. I am totally disgusted with the recent service. If I could recommend actions, it would be to verify the order before and after it is prepared to make sure that it is correct. I provided a copy of the receipt and a photo of the sandwich so the Manager of the restaurant will have proof. We have already contacted doordash about the incorrect order from the habit. read more
