We came here for a Friday lunch and we were immediately taken aback by the beautiful space. We all agreed that we felt like we were transported to a tropical resort and we didn't feel like we were in Bolingbrook anymore! I made reservations and it was probably a good idea because the place was hopping even for lunch time. They offered their regular menu as well as a lunch menu to choose from. I opted for the steak and eggs on the lunch menu and my friend and I shared the margarita flight. The skirt steak that I got was so tender and flavorful. My eggs were cooked perfectly. It also came with some potatoes and tortillas. It was perfect for lunch. The margarita flight came with 3 different margaritas. Since it's was lunch time, it was nice that my friend and I shared it and we got to try a little bit of everything. If you haven't been, I highly recommend visiting. The space is gorgeous and our server was amazing! The price was also decent considering the whole experience.

Tuesday @ 5:30. Approached hostess stand and requested a table for four. We were asked if we had reservations, which we did not, and were then seated right away. I just found it curious to be asked. Wouldn't the average person state that they had reservations if they did? Anyway, we were seated at a very nice table nestled in the middle of a very lovely dining room. There were large decorative pillows in each chair. They were very pretty to look at, but very uncomfortable to sit on. We removed them, and placed them on the floor. We waited just under five minutes before someone dropped off chips and salsa, and then another five minutes before our server approached. He had a very strong accent, and he spoke very quietly ( and the music was very loud)...so none of us could make out a word he said. He then walked away before we could indicate that we were ready to order. He returned about ten minutes later to actually take our order. We ordered a Burrito Bandera, a Burrito Macha, a Classic Chimichanga, and an Arroz con Pollo. The food arrived in around 15 minutes, and it all looked beautiful. I only wish it had tasted as good as it looked. Nothing was bad; it just wasn't that good. I had the Burrito Macha. It was very dry. It would appear the chicken was dark meat (which was not noted on the menu), and it was very gamey tasting. Hubby loved his Arroz con Pollo. The other two diners indicated their food was just ok. They both complained that their food was dry. "Nothing special" Our server never checked in on us...not once. I wanted to get some salsa to add to my dry meal, but nobody came by, so I ate it as it was. When we were done, somebody came by and cleared every last item off our table...EVERYTHING including water glasses, beverage glasses, every plate, every utensil, every napkin, the chips....EVERYTHING! It was clear they wanted us to leave. Our waiter brought the check at this time. Then, he hovered around us waiting for us to pay. It was all very uncomfortable. If you've ever been "rushed" out of a restaurant, you know what I'm talking about. We will not return, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this restaurant. There are just so many better Mexican restaurants in this area.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, from the elegant seating and décor to the stunning artwork throughout. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and was one of the best I've had. Everything we ordered exceeded my expectations. I had such a wonderful experience that I've already recommended this restaurant to my family and friends. I will definitely be returning and can't wait for my next visit. Highly recommend!

First time here and sat at the bar . Bartender super slow and had to keep getting his attention for more drinks for us and or anything at all . We gave him many chances to ask us if we needed anything or more drinks ....never did one time . Wasn't just us he was like that to the people on both sides of us also and all we heard was - great place but a Sad bartender ruined it at the bar . We did notice also how he grabbed ingredients for drinks with his hands and no tongs and then turned around and would touch / grab everything else YUCK !!! Bar view was very busy and a lot going on as the garbage can was over filled and in plan site and unpleasant. But besides the Slow horrible bartender that seemed lost and spent 80% of his time at the computer / register staring, at it looking lost ....the food was good and simple drinks were ok . We would have ordered more and spent a lot more but not from Slowpoke Rodriguez!!!!! Very disappointed and was happy to have a Hacienda closer to us and brand new !

Ever since I learned that there was a speakeasy in Lockport i've always wanted to check it out but…read moreI didn't want to go there by myself so I finally convinced my wife to visit the Speakeasy with me. We figured it would have been the perfect way to top off our evening. For first-timers it might be hard trying to find the speakeasy since at first I thought you had to access it from the Busy Street and walk up three flights of stairs. Actually you just walk inside of the Embers building, find the elevator that's kind of hidden and take it to the Third floor. I thought that the little trip up felt exclusive already. Once you're at the third floor you are treated to a beautiful array of scenery. Exit to your left and you were treated to the bar and some great tables with a cozy, intimate setting. I'm not sure if it was open seating since there was a little podium right off the elevator so we just sat ourselves. Some speakeasies require a certain dress code to keep up with the times. This one thankfully was casual though many people dressed business casual. We actually loved how the staff dressed as well. I have to try their Japanese sex drink and I absolutely loved every ship that I took. The drinks are fairly price. They did have a food menu but it was mainly snacks and small plates that were a bit overpriced. If we're having a large Gathering they have a big private room next door. This place does have a lot of great events going on as well with their upcoming Valentine's Day event that looks really interesting. It does get pretty busy as well after 7:00 p.m. from our experience. Overall, I was excited and enjoyed our visit coming to the 933 speakeasy!

It just so happens that I visited the night of a holiday bar crawl in lockport so the inside wasn't set up how it normally would be. For being packed, we were still able to grab a cocktail table to enjoy our drinks at. The bar was decked out in holiday decor to get everyone in christmas spirits. My group got two rounds of drinks which included the Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned, Figgy Smalls, Christmas in a Cup, Happiness is a Warm Puppy, Milk & Cookies, and Maple Bacon Old Fashioned. My favorites by far were the Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned and Figgy Smalls. My group also loved the Milk & Cookies. The bartenders hustled to get drinks out and still took time to smoke the old fashioneds to perfection. I'd love to come back on a normal night and re-enjoy this lockport hotspot.

My hubby ordered a chicken sandwich that was just as good.. All of our food was very tasty and we really enjoyed it. Portions are generous so hopefully you're very hungry or be prepared to bring plenty home. I was only able to eat half of my food and brought the other half home and my sandwich seemed better the next day which isn't always the case when you bring things home!! Came in on a busy Saturday night after attending another event in the area. The bar was hopping and we snagged the last 2 available seats. At first, it appeared they had 4 bartenders, a manager, and a barback behind the bar. However, other than the barback consistently washing/unloading dishes I am not sure what was going on with the service. Manager was not providing any assistance to his staff. However, he was filling his own water bottle. Other staff were taking selfies with guests. It took awhile to order a second round as well as pay our tab. This was a one and done visit for me.

My wife suggested this place and I have never been here prior but once I parked my vehicle and stepped inside, i completely forgot about my worries because I felt like I was at home. The lighting and the atmosphere inside is absolutely beautiful. I feel like I'm in a speakeasy but not so secretive and this place is just warm with positive vibes from the people that are here. Great selection of cocktails and all sorts of seasonal drinks and specials. Mixologists here are highly trained for what they do and are great with their customer service. They have a larger room in the back that I was not able to see that looks like it's for larger parties. My only regret about this place is that I should have came here for Valentine's day. They have a menu and a QR menu as well. Pro tip : please dim the brightness on your phone

I love that their menu changes so often each season with so many different drinks to try and they are all super inventive. I also love that they sometimes put fun little items on the drinks, such as a page from a book, a temporary tattoo, or a piece of candy. This time, they had their spring 2026 menu. I looked at their Instagram page before coming and decided exactly what I wanted. It's so fun how they write a little story to go along with each cocktail and the thought process behind it. It definitely makes the drinks feel more personal and special. We started off with the Rose Tico Conundrum (very sweet and came with a little piece of raspberry candy) and Pepe Silvia's Pickle Party Plot (really delicious, was surprised by this one). Next we tried the speciality API month drink called Gratitude in Bloom (tasted very gingery and lemony, almost like a healthy tea drink) and the Springtime Thought Crime (very strong with a hint of cherry). There isn't much seating so it's not great for huge groups but I think there is a patio. It's a pretty casual spot and great for just hanging out. The music is loud but the vibe is fun. The bartenders and servers are always amazing and super attentive. They do not serve their own food, but I think they have a food truck sometimes that you can order from and they'll bring it to you. I could be wrong about that, but the people next to us had tacos brought to them on paper plates, which looked delicious.
