After follow-up, they agreed to provide one but instead sent a technician back out to repeat the camera work at additional cost. Despite being told the inspection would be used to generate a quote, no quote was ever delivered. Overall, the experience was marked by poor follow-through and unmet commitments.

I contacted Rooter Man based on the positive reviews and requested a sewer line inspection with the ultimate goal, of course, of having the line cleared. On March 4, 2025 plumbing technician Jesse R. sent me an invoice for $625 to be paid before he would scope the line. The invoice also included an extra 3% charge for the credit card because billing after the fact was not an option. Jesse later reported video showed a break in the line along with a large number of root intrusions. He then sent an invoice for an additional $2700 to bring in a chain machine to clear the roots and assess the damage. To be clear, this was not a quote to REPAIR the line- it was just to clear the line enough to determine what would be necessary to fix it. Obviously the charges would continue piling up. I asked Jesse to send me the video so I could make my own assessment and seek a second opinion. He said "we don't do that." What??? The invoice actually has a placeholder for video, but they don't record the video? Or maybe they record the video but they just don't share it with the customer? The home is in an HOA and because the blockage occurred in a common area I contacted the Reno-based management company to see if they would send out a plumber they use. Their plumber made a site visit to determine the location of the blockage then returned a couple of days later to hydro flush the line. That same day I received the following message from the HOA management company: "Jet Plumbing completed the work! They will send the camera footage. There was a large root ball causing the issue, but they cleared it and the line looks great now." Total cost to the HOA was $825. I'm out of pocket $643 because I should have called the HOA before I called Rooter Man. But clearly it could have been much worse!

My septic was pumped and I was advised…read morethere would be an additional 250 charge to clear the line of which I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED IF IT DIDN'T WORK. That was what I was told in person, my daughter was on the phone. There was no specification of what line was being cleared, no specification that there was any stipulations on the refund. The guy simply said if it doesn't work I won't charge no small print disclosed. My toliet worked but all the sewage was backed into my bathtub( see picture). Thats what was in my bathroom when he finished. Doesn't look clear to me, now I am no plumber or septic pro, but come on. They offered a good faith refund of 100. I'm confused they said if it didn't work it would be a 250 refund not 100. Do not use! Do not recommend! Rip off!!! Zero stars. If you are not a plumber then you should not say I will clear the line for an additional 250 and if it doesn't work I won't charge you. The right thing to do would be to say you need a regular plumber if you couldn't do what I needed. Not charge me almost 1000 dollars to not fix the problem I wanted addressed. We talked on the phone also got bombarded by you and your wife via text. There is nothing more to talk about maybe you will be better and more clear and concise or just do the right thing and refund the 250.

Their equipment wasn't working, which dragged the job out to nearly twice as long as it should have. To make matters worse, they spilled what looked like close to two quarts of oil all over the dirt on the property and made no effort to properly clean it up or take responsibility, instead they tried to conceal it by kicking dirt on it and then left it. That's not tacky its highly inappropriate. Communication was just as bad. We had to chase them down for days to get the report, after clearly written instructions to the company. After raising these concerns, the company promised a follow-up call to take care of things that never happened. Completely blew us off. Then the invoice showed up hundreds higher than expected, pushing close to $1,000, including nearly $400 just for the inspection. For the level of service provided, that pricing is hard to justify. After 21+ years in this business across two states, this is easily one of the worst vendor experiences I've dealt with. Poor execution, poor communication, and zero accountability. Would not recommend.

We bought our house in 2020 and knew nothing about septic systems or what it meant to live on septic. Waters conducted our independent septic inspection and then also cleaned it out. They were great then and I had hoped we wouldn't see them again for another 5-7 years. Fast forward to today (2023), we began a permit process with Washoe County to put a shop on our property. When you're on septic you're required to go through the health department for verification of your septic system and ensure there's enough space on the property for repairs, etc. We opted to work with Waters through this process to get us through our health department nightmare. Dan Martin was our point of contact and let me tell you... this guy is AWESOME. He helped us navigate through what felt like a nightmare, coordinated with the health department directly, and was so so patient with me, my husband, and all the nuances we had to go through to document our septic system and seepage pit. I am beyond grateful for people like him who are professional, relatable, trustworthy, honest, and hard working. He never got annoyed with us and was so quick to support in whatever next step we needed to do for the health department. If you need septic support in any capacity, Waters should be your go-to. Starting with the people in the office to the folks in the field, they are true professionals and a top notch company.
