So because it's been raining for days here in Canyon Lake and ad much as we want to go out to dinner, it's been very cold, wet a miserable lately. So we just decided to order in. My husband let me decide on what's to order for dinner last night, so I chose Hana sushi from Hub Grub. We've done sushi before from on Hub Grub and Door Dash and have always been satisfied. I only had a couple options for sushi delivery in Canyon Lake, so I chose Hanna Sushi in Menifee. I've never tried this place before, but I love trying new restaurants. To start off, our order was 47 minutes late. It was originally scheduled for 6:55 pm. A normal dinner time. It was postponed to 7:30 and then actually arrived at 7:43pm. Errr! The Hub Grub driver was on a motorcycle. Why is this bad? Well, as it turns out, all of our entire order of lobster tempura was ice cold. Tempura is awful when it's cold. Especially when you pay $20 for an appetizer. REALLY DUDE? How are you supposed to keep the food warm on a motorcycle driving 10 miles? I was seriously perplexed! Secondly, I specifically requested extra, "low sodium" soy sauce, utensils, chop sticks, and napkins. For 3 people. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY OF THESE ITEMS! :-( I even called the restaurant prior to the delivery pickup, to insure that they received my requests. But still, it none of those items were included in our order. The order arrived in a small, thin plastic bag. The sushi rolls were an absolute disaster, as far as presentation, and they were all packaged in one box. We ordered, a spicy tuna roll, a regular tuna roll, a salmon roll, a California roll, a cucumber salad and the lobster tempura. None of it was as expected. I hate when a sushi roll falls apart when you try to pick it up. It tells me that the rice is not very fresh. It was all extremely dry, and honestly didn't taste like fresh fish. About an hour after I ate, I felt very sick to my stomach and actually vomited the entire meal. My stomach hurt for hours after. My daughter didn't feel well either. She only ate the California roll, so no fish. I honestly believe the fish was bad. Sadly, I have to give Hana Sushi, Menifee only 1 star. The delivery was very late, we had no utensils, chop sticks, wasabi, soy sauce or napkins, and the food was as cold as ice and didn't taste fresh. We were so hungry, by the time it arrived, that I didn't even take pictures, unfortunately. I threw half of everything away the same evening, after I got sick. I spent $91.00 on this order, including an $8.00 tip. What a disappointment! I don't recommend this place for take out or delivery sushi. :-( read more

We saw this sushi place on our way out of the mall and decided to give it a shot. The place was pretty empty during dinner hour so we figured it would be a good time to check it out. We got some miso soup to start out with and the server disappeared never to be seen again. The beer I ordered eventually came out after asking another server four times and twenty minutes later. When someone finally stopped we gave our order in fear no one would ever come back. We had to flag someone down to check on our order twice. When the sushi and chirashi sushi finally showed up it was delicious! Fantastic sushi, fresh and tasted great. The menu is quite good and has plenty of options. The prices are pretty on par with sushi places. But the service was terrible!! Avoid this place if you don't want to wait forever. A shame considering how amazing the food was. read more

I don't think I've ever had a worse experience at a restaurant ever. No one talked to us besides my sister and I besides to take our order. After that, we were never checked on, never offered refills, and never asked if we wanted anything else. The food was absolutely nasty, undercooked, and even tasted rotten. I had cream cheese in my roll and it honestly tasted and had the texture of eggs. As I had told the manager on the phone, who couldn't bother to listen, we would have felt comfortable telling our server if he actually spoke to us. When we were given the check, it was placed on our table in passing. This location does not care for their customers, their safety, or their wellbeing. When a customer brings up an issue to you, you do not interrupt their every word. Will never be coming back here and don't recommend it to anyone else. I did an online order and when I got home, I realized 2/3 rolls were wrong lol. I paid extra for a specific roll and got one that was about 6 bucks cheaper too. I did call restaurant but they asked for me to call Grubhub, I just let it go since the order was placed correctly.
