I tried this place on whim after getting off for work. I must say this was very tasty Hibachi. Food was very filling and had a really good flavor. I requested a to go order, but the food tasted as though I ate in the restaurant. I also got one of the sushi roll. It held up great on the road to get home. It tasted very delicious. I will definitely try more if I'm ever on this side of town again. The only thing that I wish Hana Yori had was noodles, but the fried rice was great regardless.

Hana Yori is our go-to spot. The food is consistently amazing, and the service is top notch. While they don't have traditional hibachi tables to sit around, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. I've been coming here for so long the staff knows our order by heart, and the chef always makes it a point to greet everyone, it feels like dining with family. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming vibe, and I love the unique tiles on the walls, each one decorated by a guest over the years, it gives the place so much character. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, you'll be treated like a friend. Highly recommend!

Everything, from the greetings to the food! Amazing sushi, fresh and always delicious. The ambience is really nice and relax and the service was outstanding, even when it's packed they are paying attention to every detail.

I when I saw the prices I should have been wary. Got 12 different sushi pieces. Rice was almost a paste...other than that it was ok...ingredients good, nice rolls then you eat the rice....nope...needs work

Want the best dining experience of your hibachi dreams? Go here! I've been coming to Hana Yori for about 10 years now and I will never stop. Every item on the menu whether it be from the sushi bar, the hibachi table or the wine cabinet you are in for a treat. It is very family style with the staff and I absolutely love that, they don't hire anyone they don't trust and it makes for the experience. All the staff is lovely and accommodating. If it's your first time stopping in ask for a wood plaque to sign your name and get on that wall..cause did I mention how cool the decor is? Take your time going around and looking at all of them as some people have drawn some amazing pictures. I personally have my plaque from 2013 and go find it every time I dine there. If you're in the mood for something light grab some chicken tempura and if you're in the mood for a hearty meal you better order the filet mignon hibachi..my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I love this place. The staff is always so kind and welcoming, and the sushi was really good. The food came out fast, and the vibe was super relaxed. I'm definitely coming back to try the hibachi next time.

First timers here and let me tell you, we will be back! The restaurant itself has a very Japanese ambiance. The service was excellent. And the FOOD! So fresh and so delicious. Especially for the price. We can't wait to come back!

Great ambiance and wall art, fresh sushi and veggies, and flavorful hibachi steak cooked to a perfect medium rare (as ordered) both times I went. Prompt and attentive service, even when busy. Definitely in my top 3 Japanese restaurants in Jacksonville!

Hana Yori after thoughts - place is simply yet elegantly furnished that reminds me of my days in Okinawa, the square patron personalized wooden planks that surround the walls are a wonderful touch of Japanese decor. Table settings are spacious & clean. Attendants are friendly & quick in service. Dinner selections: Sushi Plate (served with Cali & Tempura Rolls, after served, learnt it was the correct amount paired with the 5 nigiri sushi selected by chef) - fish was fresh & served exactly like sushi in Okinawa - with thin wasabi placed between the fish & rice. THIS IS NOW #1 in my JAX SUSHI SPOT just for quality, preparation & portions!!! Wasabi & ginger (Gari) is good quality as well. This meal is served with salad, opting for ginger dressing that was crisp, cool & a delight start of my meal. Extra order: Yellowtail & California Roll - both correctly rolled into bite size pieces, not huge like other restaurants that can be difficult to place in one's mouth, making consumption an unpleasant experience. Repeat, 2 extra rolls would have been difficult to finish if Mom was not present to assist. 2 rolls included in "Sushi Plate" is perfect for 1 person. Shrimp & White Fish Combo Hibachi with teriyaki sauce on the side (normally served over white fish) - Mom enjoyed this dish, fish was good portion, vegetables were delicately cooked & the shrimps were plenty, cooked to perfection. Recommendations: hot tea, tolerable but could be better quality "green tea" that is meant to enhance the sushi meal. Clear soup served with sushi, also tolerable but needs refinement in overall taste. A TRUE SUSHI LOVERS MUST TRY HOT SPOT!!! .5 of (4.5 of 5)

Literally my favorite place in Jax. Every single time it is amazing. The service is quick and attentive and the hibachi men are so kind and always make sure everything is exactly how you like it. It's a cozy environment as well. I think you could wear a swim suit cover up OR heels and either would be fine. I always get the filet mignon hibachi with fried rice and a cold sake. It melts in your mouth. Their sushi is also a great appetizer. A must go!!

Popular Japanese hibachi but smaller than most restaurants of this type. Service was great and friendly. Interior well decorated. Hibachi was good except my hibachi fish was a little too salty. I liked how their vegetables were chopped up smaller than other hibachis and their teriyaki sauce was real good. When it's busy, it can be a while before your hibachi order shows up. We waited 45 minutes.

Calamari was prepared well and not too chewy. We shockingly each chose a salad: the bistro steak, the chop chop Asian, the goat cheese, and the salmon. Each one was incredible. Mine was the chop chop and I absolutely loved it! It was HUGE and you can bet I ate every single bite. Loved it!' We finished with the brownie topped with ice cream for the birthday girl, it was extremely tasty! Thanks again to Evan for making our night! He was a fantastic waiter! Would absolutely request him in the future.

For appetizers, we had to get the roasted oysters, everything here has the essence of that fire grilled taste which I particularly love on oysters. After we knocked back a dozen of those, we tried the fries with the tender beef, cheese, and pickled jalapeños. They fry them in tallow, which gives the fries a really nice rich flavor! Then my boyfriend has some cornbread, which had a fruit jam and whipped butter, which he enjoyed. I typically get the chimichurri steak which again has that nice fire grilled element and is paired with some delicious vegetables like carrots, green beans, and potatoes. My part of five got the crushed pineapple martini, plain espresso martini, smoked old fashioned, vodka martini and cosmo. Everyone seemed to enjoy, I didn't eat too much since my meal came with risotto. I ordered the special for the night- filet, crispy shrimp, and southern sweet corn risotto. The whole table loved the shrimp and risotto! I really enjoyed it- never had risotto like this, but am not sure it paired well with the filet, but I still ate it all together :) 4 of us ordered steaks and they were all cooked exceptionally well.
