Salmon Miso Poké bowl!! Made fresh when you order!!
    Drizza N.

Love the Ahi Poke here! Fresh and with good seasonings We got the poke bentos: 2 ahi poke types - with Kalua pork and seafood salad. I got mines over salad- the rice options are white, brown or sushi Takuan, cucumber with seaweed, fresh cucumbers (I also had tomato's with my salad).... Awesome bento!! Great & friendly service. Casual seating. A table of 4, table for 2, and seating along the wall. Or you can sit outside as well.

We both got poke bowls with salad. The dressing was phenomenal and so was the poke. Delicious. The lettuce and veggies were very fresh, crisp and refreshing. So yummy and crunchy.

Mixed Protein Bowl - Ahi Hawaiian & Salmon Shoyu with 1/2 sushi rice & 1/2 salad

I had been to this place a couple times before, as it's very close to my residence, however I'm just getting around to writing my review now after ordering take out for dinner last night. I was craving poke and we're fortunate to have HanaPa'a Market, Ono Seafood and even Foodland Market for good poke options in the area. They're located in the Koko Marina Center, closer to the Kona Brewing side versus the Zippy's side. Plenty of free parking is available in the shared lot. This is a small take-out type of place, although they do have several tables inside. I ordered my food online via their website, and it was ready upon my arrival. I ordered the Mixed Protein Bowl for $17.50. You can mix and match any 2 proteins and any flavor of your choice. I selected the Ahi Hawaiian and Salmon Shoyu for my proteins, and chose my base as 1/2 salad & 1/2 sushi rice for a $3 upgrade. I really wanted all salad but that was a $4 upgrade, which I feel is too pricey. Most poke places allow you to swap salad for rice at no extra charge, thus the 4 stars instead of 5. When I arrived to pick up my bowl, I was greeted by the sweetest boy behind the counter who smiled brightly and gave me my order. He gave me an extra salad dressing per my request at no extra cost and offered me a free bag. 5 stars based on his service alone! When I got home and dug into my bowl, I was pleasantly surprised at the overall taste. First of all, I was glad I got the 1/2 sushi rice as it went really well with the poke, even though I didn't eat a lot of the rice. The salad was great with the shoyu dressing (they also have a miso dressing). But the clear winner was the Ahi Hawaiian with onions & Hawaiian salt. Wow! On previous visits, I've ordered the Cali-Crunch Bowl and the Misoyaki Salmon Plate. Both were equally delicious! I will definitely return and work my way through the rest of the menu!

BEST POKE IN OAHU. Fresh fresh fish that is cut into big tender chunks and seasoned perfectly to order with care put into every single ingredient. The servings are also big. I like getting the sushi rice and Hawaiian style poke. Go find this hole in the wall spot and you won't regret it. The prices are also relatively affordable and no line.

One of the absolute BEST poke bowls I've EVER had! This place is unassuming from first glance and tucked away in a plaza. Buttt, this is the stop along the highway EVERYONE needs to make. The food was so fresh and delicious! I loved that with bowl was so simple, but packed with flavor. For the protein, I chose half spicy ahi and half spicy salmon, and I highly recommend this option for those who like a nice, flavorful kick! The cashier was so patient and kind, and gave great suggestions. And the kitchen had the food out before I could blink! Anddd, it was very well (low) priced as compared to many other places in Oahu. The sad part is that I couldn't take this business back home with me! 100 out of 10, Highly recommend!!!!

HanaPa'a Market DELIVERED one of the best poke I had the opportunity to try in Oahu. After an early morning hike to the lighthouse, we ended up grabbing brunch at Hana'Pa Market right when they opened. Their menu has something for everyone, even if you're not into raw fish. Build your own poke bowl ($17.50+): I built my own bowl with ahi tuna and salmon garlic chili crisp, spicy aioli, furikake and onions. Super good and filling. Proteins were fresh. Poke Bento ($22): Just as good. Larger portion than the poke bowl. Would recommend if you've got a big appetite or sharing. Chicken Teriyaki Plate ($17): Good but salty. The chicken was marinated well...but a tad salty for us. There's two tables and some counter seats for a quick bite but I see most people ordering takeout. Overall, I would come back for another poke bowl. The service was great, the girl working the front was very helpful and patient with all the questions we had.

    Kalua pig and poke plate

My first time trying this place and the food was good and the portion size was worth it. I got the Hawaiian flavor for the poke...it was a little too salty for me but still good and I finished it all. The crab salad had peas in it which was different but we really enjoyed it. The cashier was very friendly and it has good local music. I would recommend this place.

poke bowl- shoyu ahi, oyster sauce salmon

super friendly and sweet service! and quick to come out. a little bit of seating inside, cute and casual vibe. the poke itself was just okay. the fish are cut in these great, big chunks (amazing) and taste fresh, but the sauces I got were too salty, even for it being oyster sauce/shoyu. and even eating it with rice, especially because i got furikake on my rice. the rice was also just okay, but i appreciated that they had sushi rice for no extra charge! i would go back again if i needed lunch in a pinch and was around koko marina.

Went here after Koko Head and it hit the spot!! The lady working the register was so sweet and gave us her recommendations. I was happy that I could get two different kinds of protein with two different flavors! The fish was a very good portion and the flavors were yummy! I would say it's a tad salty but other than that, no complaints. Would 100% come here next time when I do koko head again

    Spicy Ahi Poke bowl

Really happy with the quality of the fish here and worth a return visit. Just a small suggestion: the ratio of fish to rice felt a bit off. Adding just two to three more pieces of fish would make this spot a solid five stars!

Wanted something healthier after our workout and this was the place. Cali Crunch bowl - so good! Hubs went with the Ahi Caesar which came with 2 filets - another good one. The lemonade was also refreshing. Want to return to try the Ahi Fever . . . Or just go back for the Cali Crunch.

The first meal back home after two years and it was *chefs kiss*. My brother got their Hawaiian style salmon poke bowl and I got the two poke choices with imitation crab salad, kalua pork, pickled veggies and rice. Insanely good and super fresh. The girl behind the counter today was very helpful and friendly and definitely just embodied aloha and made me happy to be around great people again. The shop is small but mighty! Guava lemonade and that's all she wrote.

Pickled Ogo, Shoyu pickled garlic, Cali Crunch Bowl, 1/2 lb salmon poke with spicy mayo, Ahi Fever plate
    Tiffany C.

A great place to stop by after a nice hike. We arrived around noon on 4th of July and it was packed. There was a line and we waited about 15-20 min for the food. The cashier was very nice and she informed us about the wait, we didn't mind. We placed our order and waited outside as there's nowhere to stand inside, periodically checking in if our food was ready. With our order of pickled ogo, pickled garlic, 1/2 lb salmon poke, Cali crunch bowl, Ahi Fever plate, and a Powerade, our total was $80. Once we got our food, we found a table outside to enjoy our lunch. The pickled ogo and pickled garlic are local favs. Absolutely delicious. For poke, salmon is always my go-to. I love that they have options to select the sauce for your poke. The cashier recommended the spicy mayo and it was a great choice. For the bowl, it was a nice rice to poke ratio. For the plate, it was a lot of variations of ahi. I really enjoyed the seared ahi and ahi poke. The ahi fishcake was different, it was good but I was not used to the texture. If you're ever in koko marina craving poke, I recommend to check them out. I hope to return soon and try other dishes on their menu.

The zucchini bao was fantastic - so tender and lightly battered and fried to just add a hint of crunch. The cilantro relish topping was a fun & refreshing contrast to the umami in the sauce. We also tried the beef tobanyaki which was also new on the appetizer menu. Highly reccomend and I will be getting it again! Tender pieces of filet meat sautéed with mushrooms and onions in a wafu sauce. Also ordered our usual mandatory appetizer: the spring rolls (duh) One loud table which was slightly annoying, but other than that ambiance was pretty on par with a typical Friday night at a nicer restaurant. A little birdie told me they're rolling out a new cocktail menu which I am VERY excited for. The Hawaii Kai location is definitely due for a refresh with some proper, less juicy cocktails on the menu! Looking forward to see what they roll out! We had always enjoyed the breathtaking view, the delicious food and the outstanding attention to detail with every aspect of our dining experience there. Unfortunately, this year (January 11), we had a very different experience. I had made reservations for the seven of us several weeks prior, however, upon our arrival we were seated at a corner table, surrounded on three sides by the kitchen counter, the back wall and a side post. Prior to being seated, our host asked us if this was acceptable, I immediately said, "No." We expected a table that we could all comfortably sit around in an easily accessible spot (as we had always had previously). The only option offered was to go downstairs and sit outside where we were told it was expected to rain. For the sake of salvaging our celebration, I acquiesced and we sat at the table offered. Since the servers could not walk behind four of us, plates, drinks, etc. were continually passed to those of us "trapped." While the food was excellent as always, the experience was far from it. I apologized to the family and assured them that we would not be coming back. As the months have passed since this disappointing experience, I have wrestled with whether to share this experience, fearing it would be a wasted effort. I decided to be hopeful that this message would not fall on deaf ears, but be accepted as valuable customer feedback.

My first visit to this restaurant was unfortunately a very disappointing experience from the moment…read morewe walked in. My partner and I had just finished a long hike and were excited to relax, enjoy a good meal, and watch the World Cup game. When we arrived, we approached the host stand to put our name on the waitlist. Instead of being greeted with a smile or any sense of hospitality, the host, Sarah, came across as very snarky, dismissive, and unwelcoming. She informed us there would be approximately a 45-minute wait, which we completely understood and were happy to accept. While waiting, we stood near the bar area so we could watch the World Cup match. Despite standing there for around 25 minutes, not a single bartender or employee acknowledged us, offered a menu, or even greeted us. Eventually, after about 30 minutes of waiting, a table in the bar area became available. Since it was empty, we sat down, assuming it was open. Within moments, the host approached us with the same rude attitude and told us that table was being held for another party. We politely asked to speak with a manager. Rather than responding professionally, she visibly rolled her eyes before going to get one, which only reinforced how unwelcome we felt. When the manager arrived, the interaction was equally disappointing. He never asked us what had happened or tried to understand our perspective. Instead, he immediately apologized and reiterated that the table was reserved for another waiting party. We didn't want to cause a scene, so we simply moved to another available bar table. What made the situation especially frustrating was that the original table they insisted was reserved remained empty the entire time afterward. No one was ever seated there while we watched. It left us questioning why such a rigid stance was taken over a seating arrangement that appeared easily manageable. The issue was never about having to move tables. We understand restaurants get busy and that hosts have to manage seating. The problem was the complete lack of hospitality, communication, and customer service. From the host's attitude and eye-rolling to the manager's unwillingness to listen before making a decision, we felt like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. As first-time customers, first impressions matter. We arrived excited to enjoy our evening, but instead left feeling ignored, dismissed, and genuinely unwelcome. A little kindness, professionalism, and a willingness to communicate could have completely changed this experience. Unfortunately, that's not what we received.

The progression of dishes felt thoughtful and creative-- * Crispy Salt & Vinegar Chicken Skin (the perfect starter crunch) * Soupe de Poisson (deep, comforting flavors) * Pina Colada Granita (a refreshing palate cleanser) * Pan Seared Scallops (my personal favorite--perfectly caramelized and tender) * Double Cut Rack of Lamb (succulent and cooked to perfection) * Lemon Crème Brûlée Tart (a sweet, bright finish) Every plate was elegant, well-executed, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere strikes a balance between sophisticated and welcoming. Dim lighting, intimate tables, and quiet elegance make you feel like you've stepped into a hidden gem in the middle of Kaimuki. Honestly, I felt like a celebrity dining here. Service was polished but never pretentious--our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the courses, and kept the pacing of the meal just right. For the level of creativity and execution, Carte Blanche feels like an affordable luxury in Honolulu's dining scene. Perfect for anniversaries, date nights, or anytime you want an elevated experience without flying to the mainland. Highly recommend booking a reservation--you'll want to savor every moment here.

The moment that we walked in Ray greeted us with a smile he embodied the Aloha Spirit ...later found out he's the General Manager! The bartender Keone...what a guy! All of his drinks were amazing! We had the Smoking Pig which is a smoked old-fashioned that comes with a piece of BACON! Very easy on the sweetness. We also had the mezcal margarita and the smoked Manhattan... All the drinks were amazing!! If you like your drinks more on the sweet side just let him know and he'll make them sweeter but if you like em boozie and not too sweet he's your guy!! We also got to meet the chef James, he's originally from the west side of the island, so proud of him!! the food was amazing, we loved the dry rub ribs and the Sunday special brisket and the creamy Brussel sprouts as well as their Kalua Pig...bruh the buggah taste like came straight outta da imu! The amouse-bouche was excellent and gave us high hopes for our meal. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The dirty martinis were disappointing. The pork was extremely dry & overcooked and both the mashed potatoes & loco Moco were overwhelmingly salty, & made them difficult to enjoy. The service & atmosphere were pleasant & it's clear many people have had positive experiences. We left disappointed especially after reading glowing reviews.

We were seated in a private room because we have a baby in a stroller, so that was really appreciated. At one point one of the ladies that worked there offered to hold my daughter's bottle while she drank; it was so cute how they adore kids there. Food was pretty good, we ordered from the lunch set menu. Prices are about $30+. They set out a ton of banchan. The Kalbi I ordered was tender and flavorful.

All the booths were taken and we had to wait 10 minutes for them to clean a table for us. Ordered the lunch special with cold noodles, wet for me and dry for Hubby, and a protein, spicy pork for me and bulgoki for him. Ban chan here is very good, but the lunces were disappointing. I got half the amount of noodles as hubby and neither of us cared for the protein. His bulgoki was like chopped overcooked teri beef and my spicy pork had a really off flavor and I ate 2 pieces and left the rest. We really were sad to say that we would not return to this place or to the one in Ala Moana. The cold noodles at Yu Chun remain the gold standard for 2026 but the servers there aren't very welcoming and give poor service. The noodles at Choi's Garden are 2nd best, but the servers are not that nice either. The noodles at Korea Garden are 3rd best and their servers are TOP NOTCH, but the broth is not to our liking. So--we will keep looking for a better Korean place for cold noodles and Kalbi.
