This review is long overdue for Handle With Care Moving and Mike. Mike has moved me a few times in the past decade. The big moves were when I moved to LA for college, and back to the Bay Area after. I helped some friends move before. Although they didn't have a lot of stuff, I could confirm that moving without profesional help is a huge pain. To make moving even worse for me, I am pretty picky, and so I am always skeptical about others handling my stuff. I am nervous and worried if they would scratch or break something. Even one scratch would make me sad for a while (sometimes I hate myself for being this way lol). I am so glad that I found Mike the first time I needed to move, and have been sticking with him since then. I called a few moving companies at that time. Mike gave me the most reasonable price with outstanding service, which exceeded my expectation. Just as the company name states, they handled my stuff with care. Not only did they move my big furnitures without any damage but also the small stuff. I was very impressed to see them using different tools and techniques to make moving safer and easier. Also, Mike and his crew are very nice. It makes the whole process even better! This is how it usually works: Give Mike a call, schedule a time for an estimate, schedule a time for the move. Quick and easy! Moving is a pain (sorry I said it again haha. I just hate moving so much :P), but Handle With Care Moving takes the pain away. We found Mike on yelp and did not regret at all! We moved at the end of July from San Jose to Redwood Shores. The tricky thing was my bf and I were in two 1 bds (yes we were neighbors!). We called him and scheduled a free quote on the weekend. Mike was here on time, and gave us a reasonable quote for 3 people 6 hours. He also explained about things like the process, wrapping materials, and insurance. On the day of the move, everything went smoothly! While we were talking with Mike about the insurance, the other two people already started emptying my house- super efficient! Both our apartments were on the 4th floor but they used the elevator wisely and didn't slow down the process at all. To help us settle in faster, they didn't even take a lunch break. The original quote was 6 hours but everything was placed in our new home within 4.5 hours! All the staff were super friendly and professional. All the furniture was in place and well protected. I had bad experience with other moves before (overcharging on site, damaging furniture, etc), but Handle with Care Moving really made it an easy and pleasant experience! read more

Finally our stuff arrived on Tuesday and of course it wasn't a simple delivery. The driver was 3 hours later then he said he'd be and didn't lift a finger to help so we had to move our stuff in ourselves with his helper. Slomo, the driver demanded an extra $300 to get the stuff into the building but after everything we went through we just wanted our stuff. I got him down to an extra $100 and we move our belongings in. They smashed a tv, fan and artwork and I haven't heard anything back from anyone. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING! Nothing but lies from start to finish... Kevin R - Senior Sales Manager promises everything and once you've paid the deposit you'll never hear from him again. Daysi - Customer Care manager try's to pass the buck whenever she can and just says you have to wait cause she's doing all she can which is nothing. Slomo - The Driver dose t care about anything and will try to extort every dollar he can from you. Mike was recommended to me by a real estate agent friend. That's normally a good source of reference. It was great the first time, and I used them again. Double great. Mike loves his work, and it shows. He is respectful to the client, as well as his workers. I was fascinated with the kindness and respect he showed his crew on my first move almost 12 years ago. He took the time to teach, show and then allow the crew to apply. What a great lesson in management! They did a fantastic job both times. Both moves for me were highly emotional, and they all showed such kindness and respect towards me and my belongings. They worked amazingly hard, fast, and efficiently. We were dealing with every challenge imaginable in selling one home and buying another. Thank goodness Mike made the move part of it as stress-free as a move can be. Our closing dates changed three times, hence our move dates changed with them. Mike was sooo understanding it was amazing. I recently moved and a friend suggested his movers, "Handle with Care Moving." I had never heard of them, but I decided to try them. First, their prices were not the lowest, but close to it. This made me a little nervous it was a shoddy crew, but I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived (10 minutes early), they were all clean cut, spoke english, and the owner was there. Once they started I realized that they were extremely fast , but still managed to wrap everything in pads, and they never even took a break, except lunch which I wasn't billed for. By the end of the day they had set up my whole house including electronics and there wasn't a nick in anything. Handle with Care Movers did a FANTASTIC job moving all our stuff into our new apartment. They called up 30 min in advance and confirmed that they would be coming at 11:00 AM. As told, they came on time. Mike and Nick were very efficient and swiftly loaded all our items carefully into the truck. In the new apartment, they took care not to dirty the carpets by putting a carpet like thick material (which they had brought themselves) at the entrance (I was so happy they did this). Mike was especially very kind and fixed our broken chest of drawers (tightened the screws and somehow got it functioning again ...woo hoo). Used Handle with Care Moving to move my 1 bedroom apartment. Dealing with Handle with Care was very professional. I talked to several movers to get an idea about cost and scheduling. Unlike several others their costs were explained fully with nothing hidden. Confirmed several days before and showed up on time and finished in the time extimated for trhe cost quoted. They carefully (and quickly) shrinkwrapped and padded furniture and were careful with everything they handled. I recently moved again and decide to once again use Handle with Care Moving. They were just as good as I remembered. Every piece of delicate furniture was wrapped, my mattresses were bagged and not a single thing was damaged. The crew was amazing, very friendly and personable and they worked their butt's off the entire time. They went non-stop up and down several flights of stairs and lifted large items like they were nothing. My bill was exactly what was estimated and overall I couldn't have been happier.
