Was local for the 3 day Music festival and the first day we ate at the concessions and the food was extremely bad, expensive and the lines were a 40 minute wait so on the second day we made sure to eat before entering the festival. Handlebar was a short 15 min away and just walked in and sat down. Now it was Sunday early so not a lot of people and got our drinks reasonably fast. Dinner was supposed to be the crispy chicken sandwich but instead received the Buffalo chicken wrap that was ok, the fries were great. The other meal was the Handleburger with bacon and was what you would expect, again the fries were well enjoyed. Our waitress was excellent and very knowledgeable about music venues that will help for future live music events. The place started getting busy and we high tailed to the festival. My only complaint is when paying the bill on their little machine auto defaults to 25% tip or higher and suspect there are people like me who are too lazy to clip more option button to find 20%. Now the food was ok, the service was great and it was worthy of 20%+ but I suspect some might not like the default. read more

Located at my favorite intersection of dog-friendly and vegan options, this wonderfully chill treasure also is gay-friendly and bike-themed. The food and drink selection was amazing and the staff was super-friendly! The first thing the server did when they came out to introduce themselves was refresh the dog's water bowl. Handlebar is hands down my favorite bar. Came in on a Monday to watch the Jazz game and was greeted by the bartender who took my drink order. He was super nice and helpful. I wish I could remember his name. They have a really small kitchen so I was hesitant to order food but I ordered the pork nachos to share and they were some of the best nachos I've had at a bar. He consistently check on us withough being intrusive. We had a great time watching the game. We were very pleasantly surprised with karaoke after the game ended and had a blast requesting songs. They also have a super cool outdoor patio that's perfect for chilly and warm weather nights. I cant wait to come back again, and I highly recommend stopping here if you want good drinks, food, and service. read more

I came here with my friend about a week ago. Had been here before and sat at the bar. This time we decided to sit in the covered patio and order some food. As we entered, we were greeted by the friendly doorman. We grabbed drinks at the bar, then headed outside. We noticed the waitress was pretty busy so we gave her plenty of time to even acknowledge our presence. Nothing. After 30 minutes of being ignored, we went inside to order and had a number placed on our table. Our food came out and was delivered by the friendly door guy. We finished our food and drinks after about another hour and left. Not once were we even acknowledged by the waitress. A little frustrating. Food was good and the beers were cold. Just one more point... outdoor patio is covered and this is where people smoke. It stinks out there. I did not have a great experience at this bar. The food and drink are excellent. And the place has a very unique atmosphere. Some times you can catch live music from local artists. So the reason I only give 3 stars- I have been here 10+ times since the place opened. The biggest thing to note is that I've only had good service once. I waited to write this review because I hoped it was a fluke but I think this many times is just too much. Some examples- Rude bar tenders: Ive been told that I had to order and pic up my drinks from the bar which is fine, then when I waited at the bar to pick up, the bar tender got mad at me and told me to go sit down. Incomplete Drink Orders: We went for brunch and ordered some kind of maple whiskey shot that was supposed to come with bacon, when they came there wasnt any bacon. So we asked and the waitress's response was "Oh did you want to order bacon with your shots?" we just said sure and tried to moved passed it. Under Cooked food: I've ordered their wings on door dash and when they got delivered they were raw. Being "forgotten": On multiple occasions we've gone with out service. With drinks I dont mind too much, I'll just go to the bar and order my own. But we've had whole orders of food forgotten about for over an hour. And to boot the recommended starting tip amounts are 25%, 35%, and 45%???? We'll always tip our servers but that is just wild. The physical ambience was pleasant. The pub grub has adequate if a little pricey. But the service was terrible. Our waitress demanded proof of payment as soon as we sat down, took an order and disappeared never to be seen again. The bouncer at the front door ended up delivering the initial order. We wanted more appetizers but nobody would/could help. Drinks ran out half through the meal rate. No one cared. Our party felt abandoned completely. Went here for a lil birthday sunday brunch, and everyone was so friendly!! Our servers were cracking jokes with us which brought the vibes up. They also made sure multiple times that our orders were correct and tasting good. I couldn't recommend enough for the atmosphere and vibes, the decorations were on point. a bonus is that they have seating options outside with some shaded areas. I was really excited to try this place because they have great prices ($20 for a bottle or $2 for a glass of mimosa), and a vegan and non vegan menu. it did not disappoint at all, the food was really good and everyone enjoyed their meal. I got the vegan low rider burrito and it was very satisfying. As we were walking out they told us some other cool events they host and gave us free Jameson hats/beanies/tote. Incompetent manager and staff. Be careful - watch your receipts here! They charged multiple credit cards at our table for the same purchases, so we paid triple what we should have. After calling Rob, the manager, and asking him to correct this, he said he would only give a small refund back to my card ($35 off of a bill over $200 on my card alone). When trying to call him back over 15 times, I left multiple messages with various workers there and he never called me back. One month later, after I finally got him on the phone, he said it had been over a month since the transaction and he couldn't go back. We tried this place during the 2020 Vegan Food Truck Frenzy which they hosted on their lot. The staff was super friendly and inviting. Our server went out of her way to bring my food out to the general seating area where I had my kiddos and circled back about 10 minutes later to see how things were going. Way more than I ever would have expected during this kind of an event. She was lovely. The bouncer was super friendly too both coming and going. We got fries with vegan ranch and they were delicious and tasted as if they were made fresh in their kitchen. My kids gobbled them up. Thanks for hosting such a great event! One of my new favorite watering holes. I love that their steins are actual steins here, as well as their spacious patio. It was a blazingly hot day when I went but the patio had many tables in the shade and they kept it cool with a huge fan outside. They also have a plant-based menu with a good amount of vegan options. It was our first time here, there were 4 of us and we arrived about 5 pm on a tuesday. I had heard alot of great things about this pleace. The food was good, but the service was a slow and when the food started coming out it came out 1 item at a time and the last item came out 15 min after everything else. My major problem with this place is that we had a CC decline so someone else in the party paid the check. 2 days later a $24.30 charge came across the original declined card. I have sent several mgs and left my number to try and get this resolved but no one will call or email back. When i looked back at other comments on other sites I noticed that they have double charged people in the past with no resolution. So I came here because I was looking to get my karaoke fix on. The allure of a establishment I've not sang before captured my attention. So, I drove to this place. When I pulled up, I recognized the establishment as a previous place called club jam, which I sang at before. However, this place has new ownership and they changed the place all around inside. The old dance floor has been replaced by a new, cool kitchen. Now there's food! No longer the the same clientele. The karaoke was minimalistic. Nothing like the old establishment, but certainly worthy of staying and leaving my vocal mark! Nite to ownership: you need a much better system with more punch. Just look To the system you got at Piper Down and Ice Haus! I ordered the pretzel for two (I've yet to receive it as of this writing) so I'll take a pic and let you know in how it is. The sound system could be louder. I understand that this place is owned by same person as Piper Down and I've Haus. Ice Haus has a terrific sound system. It's loud and bold. I love that place. Piper Down has a serious sound system as well. So for serious karaoke singers, you'll want the volume and quality of the sound system to be better than the present host offers. Also, if paying patrons come here to sing, there's nothing more frustrating than noticing that I'm waiting for the bar staff to sing. Justin and others singing? That's silly. They should be waiting on staff and taking orders while paying patrons sing. Right? Management? I'd give more stars if I felt I wasn't waiting on the staff to sing. Crazy. read more

Outside porch with the fireplaces looks like a great space! We ordered the handlebar hash, waited 30 minutes, No breakfast. ..Asked our server, he said it would be right out. 1 hour later, still no breakfast. We Asked to get our check and he charged us for the breakfast we never received and charged us for a drink we didn't order!?? Haha! Double whammy :-) they fixed our check but probably won't go back. Talking with the owners I have I hopes for this neighborhood bar. They are talking about putting in a dog run for your k-9 companions. Now I want to preface this by saying I'm a good tipper and I'm fair in my assessment. Our service was subpar however. The waitress I think forgot to put our drink order in. The bar was empty no one was doing anything and our drinks weren't delivered yet. She noticed finally and went to the other side of the bar and put the order in and it came quickly after that. The menu online only. You can't see the whole description of what's in the meal. We opted for no food. There was another table in the bar that left without even ordering anything. They had the same menu complaints. Covid is over can we go back to real menus please. When closing out the tip default is 25, 30 and 35....i would never start my tip above 20. 20 is the good service amount. It goes down from there to 18 or 15 even 10 when service is really bad. I have no problem giving more than 20 either. For great service. 20%+$1 shows the server they did a great job, I had to choose custom and wasn't sure if custom was based on a % or a dollar amount. This is super confusing. Unfortunately I added incorrectly and just went with a standard 10% tip. Fault of the establishment for placing these defaults. Sketchy practice. read more
