Located at the Chandler Airport. It's been a really long time since we have been to this place. Small parking lot located East of the restaurant. There is a small hangar near it wheee kids can walk through and see some small planes close up. It is also located near a runway so small planes are taking off and landing frequently. There frequently still seems to be a wait at peak times. All the options are good including the pancakes, omelettes, and waffles. Worth a visit especially with young kids. Absolutely delicious. I got their special which was breakfast chorizo tacos with a green chili sauce and oh my goodness they were amazing! I hope it's a special that becomes a regular item. Closest thing you will find to a typical diner. Homemade comfort food, nothing fancy, affordable, friendly service. Can't beat the views with planes, albeit it small ones, taking off and landing. The Corned Beef and Hash is a generous portion with potatoes and toast. Delicious! Pancakes are good. Definitely reminiscent of home cooked meals. Veggie Omelet for the health conscious, and other selections sure to please everyone in your party. Usually plenty of parking and there are chairs outside for times when there might be a wait. Pass the time enjoying the planes around you. The plastic cups need to be replaced as some are revolting from the chipped (and bacteria harboring) crevices around the lip. Avoid those cups and always use a straw. Service is friendly, but not overly attentive. You have to ask for refills, but, hey, it's just like home! read more

This place it's so close to where we live and I've been hearing a lot of amazing reviews on it. We went early on a Sunday morning and it was already packed. We wanted an outdoor seating because it has the best view. We to wait a few minutes and were obliged. Outdoors has the best view specially if you have kids who would enjoy gliders taking off or landing. There are gliders parked too and you can take cool pictures. We went with French toast, veggie omelette. Everything tasted really good and they had an option to pick the bread. Food was decent nothing extraordinary but the experience definitely is. We ordered the Hangar Hash and Country Fried Steak breakfast entrees totaling about $30. The quality has gone down hill quite a bit, disappointing to see since this used to be a favorite of ours when my son attended school in the area. My mother-in-law told me about this café that sat right outside the airport where you can watch planes takeoff. I thought, what a cool idea! Chandler airport, being not too far from us, we decided that on Martin Luther King day, that I had off, we would go there. I was able to call a few days before to make sure they would be open. The lady on the phone was super nice. They are open from 7 AM to 2 PM. I believe every day. They, have parking, complimentary out front, just follow the signs to the café and pull the gate, don't push it. It's so fun to see all the planes as you walk in and you can also see them takeoff as you're eating. This is definitely a diner experience. So don't expect anything other than a diner experience. They have Omelette selections, burrito selections, your regular traditional breakfast, pancakes, etc. My mother-in-law tried to order the waffle breakfast, but they there waffle machine was actually broken. She laughed about it, and we all ordered the traditional breakfast, that comes with your choice of egg, either a sausage, patty, or bacon, your choice of bread, and either country style potatoes or hashbrowns. We also ordered a side of avocado. My husband ordered the Southwestern burrito. He liked it, but he said it was really heavy on green pepper which is not his favorite. My son had a very large pancake with a side of eggs. Overall, our service was great, the place was fun and lively. It had your average newspaper there, advertisements on the table, it really gives you all of the diner vibes. My mother-in-law was raving about the coffee. It's been a long while since I've been here. My son is obsessed with airplanes so we decided to give this place another go for the ambiance for him. Unfortunately it was raining so it was hard to see anything Christmas Eve morning. I'm not sure how we managed to get the same spot as last time right by the door. On a cold day it's rough in that spot. The airport burrito was delicious when you are so hungry. My son loved his pancake and my husband had the chilaquiles which I'm not sure how they were since my husband isn't the biggest fan of breakfast. The service was decent with how packed it was and as good as it's gonna get when it's as chaotic as it was that morning. You can't expect the world when a place is beyond packed and not a lot of servers walking around. I'd definitely love to come back on a normal weekday for sure. read more

I wanted to give this place 5 stars and was looking forward to it but, upon arrival the guy who sat me down didn't seem pleased when I walked in. He asked if I wanted inside or out and when I stated "inside" he seemed disappointed and made a noise Wth Why ask! He was not pleasant at all! This is the cutest Cafe. I love being able to see the little planes in the hangar and love the old school dinner feel. Plenty of tables inside and a patio as well. The upstairs seating area to watch the planes is only for to-go food, you can't sit up there and get a server, but it's definitely worth checking out. The place was packed at 10am when we got here but we didn't even need to wait as we got seated right away. Tables have the business ads on them and I love all the vintage and humorous signs all over the walls. The staff is all extremely friendly and attentive. It seems like a lot of regulars are here that the staff know well and we will definitely be regulars ourselves now that we live only 15mins away. Hubby ordered the chicken & biscuit slider special. The chicken is cooked chicken fried chicken style and it was crisp on the outside and inside was tender and juicy. Next layer was eggs flat scramble style covered in cheese and then topped with the sausage gravy and sandwiched between two buttermilk biscuits (so well made and perfectly buttery and fluffy). The gravy was rich and creamy chicken fried chicken style and tasted fresh homemade. The whole dish was amazing you won't regret it if you try it!! I ordered the veggie scramble with added avocado and the country potatoes and sourdough toast. I was shocked by the sticker price considering there's no meat in it, but the portion was decent and the veggies were fresh! I devoured every bite. If you do over the weekend, it will be a different story. Everyone enjoys watching the weekend warriors fly their planes. The servers always provide quality customer service. Always quick to greet, bring water and refills, bring and close the check. I have had a variety of food but my favorite is the Airport Burrito. That burrito is massive and tasty. Being from the valley, my family from New Mexico. I have had my share of Chili Verde during my life time. The Chili Verde here is OK, not saying its bad at all. Just not up there with some of the great ones I have had. Daughter and myself shared some hash browns, and their cinnamon roll.
