I was craving popcorn chicken and found this restaurant on yelp but ordered on Postmates for free delivery. When I opened the container, it looked like potatoe balls rolled in dough and fried. You can see traces of flour is still on the chicken. Taste-wise I give it a 3. It had flavor but nothing I would drive out of the way to try. What elevates the flavor is the Comeback sauce it comes with. The toast that came was a little stale and tasted old. Went here yesterday while in Westwood and was not disappointed. Hangry Moon is a little hidden gem next to Fat Sal's. They have done a great job to abide by the rules of masks and social distancing. Helps a lot with it being smaller and located outdoors! When I approached the counter for my order, I asked what they'd recommend. It was funny when I was asked if I was looking for something healthy or to treat myself. That's a great sign so you're able to either get something healthy or binge out. I said to surprise me and either would work. Wow was I surprised when I opened up this up! The portion size alone is worth every cent and Hangry Moon definitely went for the treat yourself side! I walked to a near by grass area and the whole meal was delicious! The fries were crisp and didn't get soggy like you would think they would with all the toppings. Ambiance: This is a very small restaurant along Gayley Ave. There is some seating, however just be prepared to have the sounds of traffic as background noise for any conversation. Parking: If you are close enough, it may be worth walking so you don't need to hassle with parking. I am personally a big fan of the slaw and the bun. They put a real nice butter finish on the bun that makes it super tasty. Also, if you are somewhat sensitive to spicy foods, DON'T GET THE SPICY OPTION. It's insanely spicy - I can definitely handle some spice myself, and I had a hard time taking this one down. Located immediately adjacent to Fat Sal's it is not a place where you dine in. There are maybe 3 outside stools and that's it. I placed 2 orders of the chicken tenders with fries and Texas Toast for me and my wife. The portions are HUGE and I could have easily split one order between me and my wife. Not sure what all the fuss is about because I found the food to be ok at best. Based on reviews and photos I expected better. I was disappointed. The breading was more crispy than I prefer and had a tendency to pull apart from the chicken. I found myself eating pieces of chicken separately from pieces of breading. I don't want to have to hold it all together like a sandwich. The fries weren't anything special...in fact quite a few of them seemed undercooked. Lastly, the Texas Toast was burnt on one side and I could definitely taste the char. This place is Raising Canes without the glitz. However, Canes is way better....and cheaper. Even Canes sauce is better. Hangry's sauce had some kind of seasoning that gives it kind of a cinnamon kind of flavoring....maybe not exactly cinnamon but there is something added and I can't quite put my finger on it. But in my mind it doesnt make the sauce better. Overall, I recommend skipping this place and walking 3 steps further to Fat Sal's. You won't go wrong there! read more

I would say I am usually a pretty large eater, but my order comfortably lasted me two meals. QUALITY: Frankly, I would describe the taste overall as "Gets the Job Done." It wasn't bad (though the chicken was a bit overcooked/tough), though it wasn't anything to write home about either. The fries and toast could have been a bit crispier, but I cut them some slack, particularly because I was ordering during a more off time. My favorite thing was probably the taco, as it at least scratched a pulled pork itch. Overall, this place is probably about as good as you might expect.
