I wanted to take a moment to shine a light on what I think was one of the best waiters in town- Lloyd! When we sat down after unwinding from the ugly sweater wine walk he greeted us by making barking sounds at my bulldog christmas sweater! haha. But he was amazing from beginning to end. My friend had been here and it was a nice walk over from nearby downtown. We were seated right away and found the restaurant to be spacious and clean. The staff appeared very friendly and it was a mellow vibe. The menu had a little bit of everything from small plates, salads, and bowls. I wasn't quite sure what to order but ended up with the Crispy chicken bowl, which was very heavy on the macaroni and cheese. I think it was great just very heavy. My friend ordered the four cheese and brisket, and that was the winner. I definitely want to go back to order this dish. The desserts sounded amazing so next time for sure. And by request- the wonderful waiter- Lloyd. We heard endless stories, got great tips on which slot machines to play and overall endless amounts of laughs throughout our meal. OMG - I am so happy and surprised. Went here for lunch today and am seriously wondering why it isn't more crowded. (Selfishly, I am happy but still confused.) The only glitch was that no one was at the front desk to seat us but someone came out from the dining room to help. That is what I call a minor glitch. I saw some reviews that mentioned price but the portions are great so I thought the prices were fine. Service was good - thanks Vanessa and the bartender (sorry I did not get your name but thanks for keeping an eye on my wine glass!!). Food was amazing! I usually plan to take leftovers home for dinner but this was such a struggle. Great Salmon/asparagus/farro/and other veggies. Nothing over or under cooked, nothing mushy or dried out. Seriously, great salmon. I saved some for dinner and am looking forward to enjoying the rest, as well as coming here again! Easy parking, no smoke smell in the restaurant, good food and service! This review is for the snack bar outside of Hanna's table on here casino floor. I purchased a club sandwich,($11), Caesar salad ($7) and mini cheesecake ($6) with comps on my players club card ($26.50). I got it all to go and brought it home to have for a couple days. The manager at the snack bar stated everything was fresh, and it wasn't fresh! I took the sandwich apart to see what was on it and it was three layers of a nutty wheat/rye type bread (unsliced) with Mayo, lettuce and tomato on one end, ham, Turkey & bacon in the middle and a slice of American cheese at the opposite end. Unfortunately the sandwich was soggy on the mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato side. The bacon was limp and undercooked but I fixed it by zapping on a paper towel in my microwave. I reassembled and added my own mayonnaise to the cheese end of the sandwich and placed the crispy bacon back in the middle of the sandwich. The Caesar salad had red edges on the chopped romaine, grated Parmesan cheese and loaded with croutons which were soggy. It was a large salad and had only a small packet of Ken's Caesar dressing. I pulled out the croutons, added fresh from my house and used my own Caesar dressing before I could enjoy. The cheesecake was beautiful to look at and tasted delicious the few bites I had. It's an okay selection of you want a grab and go item but I won't buy anything but snacks or desserts here again. read more

This is for their "Express" service that's supposed to be open 24hrs. Well it's not open 24 hours all the time as I attempted to buy something and they were sometimes closed in the early mornings. They have a very limited selection of snacks and sometimes they are out of the sandwiches (or are unable to serve them). One of the worst things about the express area is the fact they put their freshly delivered donuts inside a cold refrigerated display case. Nothing worse for a good donut then making it cold! Coffee is also not always fresh. Limited table space as they removed a couple of their tables. Also no TV's to watch sports or anything. read more

I had breakfast here this morning. Just biscuits and gravy with a side of scrambled eggs. I am very picky about my biscuits and gravy and they did a very good job. Service was great and warm. My food was practically perfect. I asked my server to please inform the cooks. I had a pop, a chicken sandwich with bacon and waffle fries. My bread was perfectly toasted, the chicken was made to order and the bacon was crisp along with the veggies. It was a nice touch that I had a few sweet potato fries mixed with the regular ones. It is a little pricey, but I'm Reno born and raised, you can't get much better than this. It's simple, but executed practically perfect. I plan to treat myself to this restaurant when I can. We went to hannas table sat at the bar. 3 DIFFERENT employees were there. 1 man 2 women They were enjoying each other's company. Then they all walked away. Not a word to us. No one returns.... The place had no other people sitting at the bar and I only saw diners at 2 tables. I can say hannas table has the best skills at running guests away. As we walked out we told 2 hosts about our short visit. One of them replied she thought that too. And she was happy its not her imagination. Nope. They definitely ignored us. And she saw it too. We'll hannas staff sorry we came to your work place and bothered you. Won't happen again. Shame on you. You definitely lost 2 guest, that live local and have been. There before. So I have now eaten 3 meals here and can honestly it is delicious !!! I am in Reno for a business trip and stayed at the J. I have to tell you the best part is Hanna's ! Got a salad night one which was fresh, favorable and not too heavy ! Got some magical French toast for brunch and it was so delicious and sinfully wonderful !!! Tonight a cheese steak - not too greasy , bread is fresh and soft and a combo of regular and sweet potato waffle fries ! Yummmo!!! The staff is so so nice and the restaurant is clean and cute ! Absolutely a hidden gem inside this casino / hotel and I'm so grateful it was a quick elevator ride away as opposed to needing to order on an app! Happy hour patio is sterile and lifeless. Yuk! No attempt has been made to soften this area with potted plants or table decorations. It is uninviting with no music. No attempt has been made to make this area welcoming. It's like an afterthought. Chairs are hard and with all the choices for patio service in Reno this gathering area is doomed to fail. Too bad. The service was adequate with what appears to be uNR students on VISA's. The bar manager should be disciplined or fired. There was no Revision Beer (A freakin local brewery) or hard cider for my gluten free friend. Really? The place is empty of customers. As a former restaurant manager I'd clean house to make this a go to place instead of a place to avoid. Oh, why have a two for one happy hour drink menu? They served eggs benedict which made with tabasco sauce, never in my life have I had hollandaise sauce made like that. This place should be renamed ATTITUDE table! Service was absolutely horrible! Came in today at around 9:09am. The entire staff (including who I assume was the manager in red shirt) had a grouchy, unfriendly demeanor. From the moment I checked in with host, to waitress, servers and runners. Someone needs to come in and change this as it affects the overall experience. NO ONE ever checked in to see if everything was ok- although "manager"checked in on surrounding tables. I asked for Splenda for my coffee and that never came. Now for the food: it was actually pretty good. I ordered the biscuits and chicken. Only call out was that the gravy was slightly cold. I could've mentioned it, had someone checked in. Customer service and a focus on customer experience, needs to be a focus for this place. For a casino joint, this place rates Excellent! Service! Food! And Vibe (not smokey and we like the decor)! Big plus if you're a local and you have a players card, you can usually get a discount if you swipe first before dining. We usually stop by for breakfast and have never been disappointed but today tried the lunch. Wowsy! I am looking forward to returning to try more of the menu items now. My breakfast smashburger was so yummy. Medium rare to perfection. Cheddar cheese was really tasty. Lettuce was crispy and so fresh. And the fruit bowl was so fresh and delicious. How? In January? I haven't even mentioned the service, which is even better than the food here (and I am Not disappointed with the quality of the food). I ordered to-go food at the bar for my hotel room at the J. My order was a Cobb salad, chicken tenders and the baked ziti bowl. I was honestly shocked with the taste and quality of all the food. So good. No bad feedback. Getting food to go can be iffy. This was great! Highly recommended for your stay at the J. Food is good and location is very convenient when staying at the J, but the waitress Shai is very rude and lacks customer service skills.

The staff at Hannah's table were all wonderful! They seem to be a little short staffed, but the employees they did have more than made up for it. Our food was delicious, they do homestyle favorites like meatloaf and macaroni and cheese with fried chicken. Portions were generous and everything was cooked perfectly. The meatloaf was a favorite, it came with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes which were also tasty. Have eaten at Hanna's Table in "J" Resort downton Reno twice and the server tried to rip me off both times. I gave the server cash to pay for our meal, which was fair at best, and he never brought me my change. First time the change was $18 the second time was $5. I had to chase him down both times. He thought it was a tip when I already gave him his tip. And the second time he brought us the wrong order. If you go there, and I DO NOT recommend it, watch your cash or credit card. read more
