This is for the Hansel Acura Parts Center, which is located behind the BMW dealership on Corby Avenue down the street from the Hansel Acura dealership. I needed the battery replaced on the key fob for my 2003 MDX after 22 years of owning the SUV. I was helped by Mario who very quickly got a replacement battery, opened and cleaned out the key fob, installed the new battery and had me out the door in around 10 minutes, all for a little over $10.00. Stepped into Hansel Acura today for a quick service. Mary in the service department was absolutely amazing. Her knowledge was on point, and her people skills blew us away. Patrick in service is another asset to the department. We really appreciated that he took the time to explain in great detail regarding our matter. At no point did we ever feel rushed; he even took the time to hand dry our vehicle after it was washed. The lady selling our car could even get me all the paper work at once had to fill more out a week later. She also threatened to fight us not very good customer service. And she did show up. I've never had a pleasant experience with a dealership until I came to Hansel Acura and I can say a lot of it has to do with the service I received from Celia. She made me feel like we'd been friends for years, very easy to talk to and not pushy. She knew I was nervous to trade in my baby and she never pressured me into any sales and made sure I got into something I wanted and would not allow me to settle. She'd rather me leave empty handed than get into something I didn't want or love. My credit is in repair so it's not ideal for buying a new car and my options were slim. Although I went in for an SUV, that wasn't in the cards for me this time around but I was still able to get into a beautiful integra and I'm in love with it. I purchased a 2021 Acura RDX from Hansel Acura in Santa Rosa CA. Let me start by stating that I am a full-time mechanic with 20+ years of experience. I noticed that the valve cover gasket was starting to leak on my car. This is a routine job, that likely would have taken me an hour to complete myself. I decided that since my car is still under warranty, that it made sense to have the dealer do the work, in case there are later concerns. I took a day off work and scheduled the job with Hansel of Santa Rosa. I dropped my car in the morning and waited all day for the job to be completed. I was told that the valve cover was replaced. The repair order stated that the valve cover gasket had been replaced to resolve the leak. When leaving the dealership, I noticed a hissing type noise. I opened my hood to find that the engine cover was just set on top of the engine not clamped into place, and the hissing noise was coming from the air intake hose not being tightened where it meets the engine. I reinstalled this myself. When I got home (3 hour drive), I double checked the work that was done. I found that the valve cover gasket hat NOT been replaced. It is very evident that no repair was done. I also found that an adapter that connects to the breather hose system had been cracked by overtightening the clamp. I called the dealer and talked to the manager, so that my concerns could be addressed. He was very short with me and just told me that I would have to bring the car back so that they could repair it. . I made him aware of the broken piece, and I took a picture of it and sent it to Hansel. Rather than show any sympathy, or try to accommodate a repair, He told me that "we can't fix cars over the phone". I asked him if they could send me the piece that was broken, so that I could install myself. He would not do that either. His reaction is the opposite of how a manager should react. I was calm and understanding and still I was only left with the option to drive another 3 hours each was to have them "recheck" the car. In the future I will do the needed repairs myself. Originally, I thought was that having work done at the dealer provides a feeling of confidence and of quality. I am now understanding why so many of my daily customer have such negative things to say about dealerships. Clearly there is very low-quality standards at Hansel. read more

i brought my 2016 TLX there for a recall. At that time they recommended I get $2,300 worth of work on the engine, which they claimed was $5k worth of work but because of the recall they could do it cheaper due to the engine being apart. I chose to do the work because I knew I was selling the car and that would increase the value. i asked them to quote me what they would buy it for and they told me $2k due to the mileage I pointed out that I had put more work into the car there than what I was quoted and that alone was a complete joke. A friend who had the same car but a 2015 (also with high mileage) traded her car into Audi and was given $7k for trade in value. Another person I know bought a new car from them and brought the car in for work a couple months after purchasing and when they went to pick the car up there were a couple of huge dents in it. A couple years ago when my car was in there for routine oil change they said that my car had some weird engine issue. I felt pressured to do the work (I feel like I was bullied into it because I'm a female and didn't know better). I spent $1,100 on that. I called Acura itself a couple days later about that issue and was informed that they had never heard of this issue with any of the cars sold by any Acura in the country. When I contacted the dealership about this they blew it off and said that Acura didn't know what they were talking about. I tried to get refunded for it based on hearing this from corporate Acura and was denied. I had previously bought 2 Acuras from them. Due to all of these experiences I would never buy another Acura and would recommend people do not use the service department at this Acura dealership. read more

The warrantee I have for my car expires in less than 2000 miles. I cringed at the thought of making an appointment before my warranty expires. Because of the fact the last two times I had service on my vehicle at this location they completely screwed up!!! First time I had service done to my vehicle they forgot to put the mud shield back underneath my car. I later discovered it was missing many months later at that point I wasn't sure if it ever came with it because I had purchased the car used. Funny that I mentioned this because the second time I had my car serviced was for an air conditioning unit replacement. Upon receiving my vehicle back from service I noticed that they forgot to actually re-assemble my vehicle! The transmission boot was loose, my seat was loose and then funny thing is upon retuning home I noticed my mudguard underneath my car has returned! Which leads me to believe one of two things, one they either forgot to put it back on from the first service or two they gave me a new one as a "courtesy" which I seriously doubt it because it's all about profit over people read more

I'm very picky about the precise packages/options, and color scheme of the cars I choose, and although I didn't find the exact car I was looking for at Hansel, the Acura lineup impressed me. I was shopping for a new car and wanted to test drive the Acura TLX. The person who greeted was hesitant to allow me to drive the car. She asked me what type of car I was currently driving. Then she asked me why I was looking at the TLX. I told her I was driving an older car and that I liked how the TLX looked. I asked her twice if I can test drive it and she said she needed to get her manager. Once the manager arrived, he told me it would take him a half an hour to get the vehicle out of the showroom. I said that was fine and would wait. He then said he wasn't going to let me drive the car if I wasn't going to buy it. Have taken my Acura there four times (due to a service contract that I foolishly signed) and it has always taken much longer than the quoted wait time. 3 1/2 hours for essentially an oil change is a bit much. Yes, other services are said to be provided but businesses that specialize in this type of service do so in less than an hour. My advice, certainly buy an Acura but skip the service agreements. read more
