I LOVE that we are getting more LATE NIGHT options for dining here in South OC! They are open til 1am which is extremely helpful as I work late some evenings. I've always been a huge fan of Korean food and frequent places in the La Miranda/Buena Park area. But for Irvine, my partner and I absolutely love this spot. Not only is the food delicious, but the draft beer is cold and fresh, and service is always on point! Super easy to get to a couple min north of spectrum off of the 405. Came here late on a Sunday there wasn't much of a wait and got seated right away. Employees here is very attentive and nice you wouldn't really need to get their attention but if you really have to there is a bell you can ring. We got the chicken and cheese plate it was around $25 which wasn't bad and the portion was enough to feed 2. Drinks here is decently price like every other restaurant or pub. Would want to come back to try their other dishes! Our server also gave us both a pink frog keychain so cute. read more

Came late on a Tuesday night, pretty empty! A lot of the shops around were already closed but this one stayed open. I really liked the interior, nice pocha vibes! Tried their fried chicken and pork with mozzarella cheese. Both did taste good, but I wished they were able to keep the cheese warm, it cooled up pretty quickly, so no more cheese pull :( seemed a bit overpriced for the size they served. Also, drinks were overpriced in my opinion. $15 for soju and $10 for beer? I feel like other places have them for a few dollars cheaper. I'd come back to try their other food options. read more

Already pretty crowded at 6pm on Saturday, but got seated quickly! It was pretty loud, but the vibes were super social and good! A good mix of folks socializing and some families having dinner. Bathrooms were clean and gender neutral. Only thing I'd complain about is that it was a bit stuffy inside and can get hot easily. My group of three got Combo B to share + a peach makgeolli cocktail. Combo b comes with fried boneless chicken, the pork mozzarella fondue and a fish cake soup for $60. Chicken was crispy and came with some pickled radish, fries and ketchup. Pork was smoky, with a spicy, salty and sweet sauce and paired amazing with the mozzarella which gave lots of stretchy cheese pulls. Fish cake soup felt pretty standard and came with a decent amt of fish cake. The makgeolli cocktail was slushy, on the sweet side and super fun to drink. Definitely one to drink quickly before the blended ice melts. Overall a little bit on the pricey side, but plenty of food and definitely a great place for drinks and food, especially for late nights in Irvine. read more

Finally got to try out the newest location of the famous @hanshinpocha.us , @hanshinpocha_irvine , and its 100% worth the hype! As a franchise by celebrity Chef Jong Won Paik (basically the Korean version of Gordon Ramsay), @hanshinpocha.us features an extensive menu of Korean comfort dishes and a fun pocha environment for drinking and socializing with friends. My favorite dishes were the chicken mozzarella cheese fondue and seafood soft tofu jjigae (which were very well executed especially for a pocha), and I would highly recommend ordering their soju bomb cocktails and @sangmakgeolli . I loved this place for a pregame vibe with friends eating great chicken wings, dumplings and cheesy corn on a stone plate that was curated for us upon request meaning the service is phenomenal. This is a great value for Korean comfort food that open late at night. Music is like being in a club so it isn't for the folks who dislike music from a subwoofer. Came here the other day again! Ordered a soju, a pint of Sapporo, and also ordered the beer from the $5 special. Other than that, I also ordered the pork cheese. The alcohol and vibes are always great, but this time, our food took an hour and a half because the ticket got lost. Our server was really nice though and took off one of our sojus because of it. I've been to another Hanshin Pocha location (Rowland heights), but this one is newer, bigger, and cleaner. I ordered the whole fried chicken and the chicken mozzarella cheese fondue. The fried chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The mozzarella was super cheesy and added an extra flavor to the chicken. I also got the diy rice balls and it's the perfect combo to any item you get. Their soju ball cocktails are creepers! Really good, but they hit lol in a good way though. I called to ask what time last call for food was they say 11:30, hours say they're open till 12, we get there a little before 11 and are told they have turned off the fryers and last call for food was happening. We felt extremely rushed. They last called drinks at 11:20 and the entire restaurant was full.. this place is suppose to be late night but they rushed everyone out. They put up the chairs at 11:50 and locked the doors before 12. Extremely disappointed. read more
