This place is great for any/all social event. The service is always FAST and environment is always clean. The parking can be confusing for someone's first time, but it's pretty much FREE or you can a give a generous tip for the convenience. I plan on trying the food next... (review to come). I met up with coworkers at the Happiest Hour on a Wednesday around 5pm. The entire bottom floor appeared to be bought out by some important people, which left the upstairs open to the general pubic. I loved the vibe of the place. It was definitely casual, but it was a place to be seen. The best part was its outdoor patio. We got gorgeous views of the Dallas skyline as the sun set. We also couldn't have asked for better weather. They don't have servers going around, so we went up to the bar to get our drink orders. The entire ambiance was awful, and the bar even smelled like vomit. The bartenders were extremely unpleasant, giving us awkward, blank stares when we tried to order drinks. After walking around, a manager opened a section on the rooftop where we could sit. Despite sitting there for about 30 minutes, a bouncer with a flat-billed hat came and told us to leave, even though the manager had allowed us to be there and had opened other rooftop areas as well. He singled us out and did not ask others to leave. When we tried to find the manager, she was nowhere to be found. The bouncer insisted we weren't allowed to be there, despite the employee's permission. He forcibly led us downstairs to the general manager after we were told by the bartenders that she would meet us at the second bar. Once downstairs, the bouncer spoke with the "GM" privately before we had a chance to explain our side. The "general manager" was the most unprofessional person we encountered. She claimed all the chairs were for bottle service, and when we explained that an employee had allowed us to sit there, she acknowledged the mistake but still told us to leave. She showed no empathy or understanding, likely influenced by the bouncer's version of events. This experience reflects the poor service at this bar. We're relieved we didn't spend more on drinks, as we felt we could have been taken advantage of. I am 30+ years old and had a hard time being served - the bar tender wouldn't serve us if we wanted to sit down even if the waiter hadn't been by in over 15 mins. We were never able to order food and we couldn't get water, they would only give us ice. The outdoor heaters were not all on and half were broken. On a recent visit to Dallas, my friends and I decided to do a Sunday Fun Day in downtown. Let me start and say the surrounding area is beautiful. The weather was perfect and Happiest Hour has a really nice outdoor area. We used valet so parking was not an issue for us. Indoors, this place is massive and has an upscale, classy vibe to it. We decided to enjoy the weather and set up shop near the corn hole playing area. There is also plenty of seating to relax and plenty of fun games to play if you wish. I was feeling a little boujee and I knew I wanted a mimosa, but this place offers a Gran-Manmosa. This was a one liter mixture of Gran Marnier and OJ. Delicious! Our DD went with a virgin mule and my friend stuck local craft beer. The drink selection is extensive and they have plenty to choose from. We enjoyed the outdoor space and decided to go in to watch my Rockets play whatever team plays in Dallas. There are TVs galore! At some point another Manmosa was brought my way and good times were had by all. We decided we needed to eat a little something and decided on the Nacho Tower. Never let the drinkers pick food options. Apparently this was meant for a small army. We definitely made alot of friends as we shared with whoever wanted some. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it actually was. We ate till we could not any more and we still had so much left. Happiest Hour is probably my new favorite spot to hang with friends in Dallas. I would probably give Happiest Hour more of a 3.5 than 4 -- it's a great place when it comes to social aspects. The rooftop bar is great, it's an amazing restaurant/bar, but I think the one thing is that prices don't really justify the food here. We were chilling at the bar and decided to come downstairs to get some food. I was looking at the menu and noticed that everything was SO EXPENSIVE - I ended up getting a turkey burger for $17 and added my fries to be loaded cheddar, which was a whopping $7 upcharge. I understand it's Dallas, but the fries itself a la carte were $5 and you have to pay $7 more to get it upcharged?! Ridiculous. But the food itself was pretty good, and the ambiance and the vibes itself do have value. The drinks were pretty good -- I also did not know what a manmosa was and ordered that... and I ended up regretting it HA, but I guess it does justify the $23 value. I would probably come again if someone hosted something there but it's not a place I would go out of my way for. They also have valet as parking is pretty difficult to find if the parking lot across the street is charging for an event. Otherwise it's usually free parking. The food and drinks are OK. The service also wasn't the best. I really enjoyed the roasted chicken and the lychee cocktail with cucumber. I would recommend this place for a Happy Hour (no pun intended) with friends or for brunch on the rooftop. read more
