This place was OK. I went in for standard pedicure. I didn't like how they left my toenails cut. I don't believe the lady knew how to cut toenails since you're supposed to do a flat front. Mind were rounded and made me look like some alien creature. I would show you, but then you would judge my toenails.

Cindy put a new set on using builder gels today -- amazing! Absolutely love the French -- they feel so light on my fingers -- my new go to for me! They feel like natural nails -- not heavy like acrylic or dip.

Got my nails and toes done and both came out great!! The manicurists here are very skilled and I appreciated the time and care that they put into my pedicure as well. I will definitely be back for the great manicure and very reasonable prices :)

I've known this place for years. My family loves to go here, but it's not really my thing. But when it was time to get wedding ready, a few of us came here. I got a Happiness pedicure & it was great. The service and quality of the pedicure was excellent. I will be coming back here for future pedicures and manicures. Also, they remodeled the place and it looks great.

This is my spot. I've always left here a happy customer. I usually get a dip mani, and gel pedi. It's so great, my husband and his best friends join me on occasion!

Love this place and all the ladies here are so friendly and give you the best experience. They take their time and don't rush you. Thank you ladies!!!

My nails only look good from far. The nail technician was super rough, was filing so hard she cut me in multiple places and was scratching so hard with a buffer. Left the edges super rough and messy. For sure won't be returning read more

Update: Today I went in to get my nails done for my best friends birthday. The nail tech cut me 3 times, blamed me for one of them cuz I "grabbed my water bottle". She was quite rough and now my nails hurt and are covered in acrylic that was over my nails and fingers. If I go back I'll definitely go to either Jessica or eda only. I've been going to sacto nails for many years and wanted to try this place out. What a difference! This place was so nice. The price tho was a bit high compared to where I normally go but all in all it was a great experience. Van did my nails and she was quite nice and very accommodating. The only bad part was the price. Will defiantly try it again. read more

My family and I always come here to get our nails done! We always call ahead for appointments to avoid long wait times. So I suggest calling ahead to see what their availability is like. The workers are always so friendly and welcoming! Their massage chairs are nice and comfy and they have a wide range of colors to choose from. This is definitely my go to place to get my nails done! read more

Mixed feelings.. every time I come back and give them a try... I'm not impressed. Choosing a color is almost impossible. They have colors everywhere and if you don't ask for other colors like chrome mood change they might not show u. Smh And as I'm looking one of the girls asked me if I was done and took the colors... was I done. Not really. Pedi was meh.. I got the $30 happiness pedi (most expensive) massage sucked. Got cut n was bleeding. Paint job is sloppy. Already messed up and she did my pedi first My fill and color with gold flakes actually look decent just sloppy. Polish and powder everywhere... $73 for everything and I still tipped her $10 read more

This is my second time coming here. The first time it was amazing, this second one was meh. I came both times for French tip gel manicures. This review is for the second trip. First off, the person who did my set did not seem like she was all there. She wasn't consistent with her cleaning, such as my cuticles and nails. She started off shaping my right hand and then she had another person do my left?! She said I'm lucky but I didn't feel lucky because they were not even, nor all the nails were shaped to be square. Then she proceeded to clean my cuticles and she nipped me twice, in which I didn't notice I was bleeding until I cleaned my hands. She obviously saw but didn't even apologize or acknowledge her roughness. I knew she saw because she even wiped off the blood with a towel. I was hoping this trip would be nice and quick, but no. I told her I didn't want too thick of a tip on my nails and she said okay. None of my tips were even, none of them smooth, and not even the same shape. My thumb nail got messed up during the gel, she fixed it but it's obviously still not good! She would forget to turn on the machine when my fingers were in there. I was there for almost an hour so when she asked me if it was okay I just said yes because I got tired of her trying to fix her mistakes. She's super sweet but I was left disappointed. I rarely get my nails done so having this set kinda upsets me. From far away they're not bad, but up close you can see how uneven everything is. read more

I have come here for 14 years and I will always come here. Eda is fabulous and she will make your nails perfect! Always clean and very nice here. They all say hello and remember your name and even remember your kids names. I love it. I recommended them to my family and coworkers and even my grocery lady. Cindy was amazing. She told me that she'd surprise me, since they did not have the color I originally wanted. And my nails turned out better than I could have thought. An hour afterwards, one of my nails broke and Cindy made sure I was taken care of. Great customer service! read more

Me and my friend went here for her birthday. It came highly recommended to us, but it was NOT a good experience. We both had to ask them to repaint our acrylic nails twice because they kept bubbling. They kept saying "top coat" like that meant something. After they fixed mine the second time my thumb paint did a weird wave thing, I didn't say anything. Our pedicures were great. All though they didn't really massage our feet at all and it was $45 for the pedicure. Not worth the $90 I paid for flawed nails and some lotion/wax on my feet. My finger cuticles are also destroyed thanks to them. read more

Worst customer service. I was a regular customer here but always had bad experiences so I decided to stop going. Yesterday I decided to go because I didn't want to drive all the way to my new nail spot. WORST MISTAKE. I remember why I don't go to happiness nails anymore!They are always in a rush and over booking or taking clients while waiting for their clients who made an appointment and rush the client they took. They are also very sloppy at nails. I've went multiple times and I've always had a bad experience. Never going back. read more

Anna did my nails today. I set up an appointment at 4pm but was there at 3pm. She said she had an appointment at 315 before me so I had to wait. Her appointment did not make it so she took me instead and I was happy about that. I loved my nails. I gave them 4 stars. I would give them 5 if they knew how to do the 3D desings.! I've been going to Happiness Nails for 10 years now. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. It's also very affordable. The place is always clean and you can tell they take pride in their salon. It was even renovated a few months back and the place looks great! They have several nail techs that have worked there for years which speaks to the amazing owners of the salon. I've been going to Eda for about 10 years now and the work she does is always amazing! I highly recommend her if you are in need of a new nail tech. read more

Eda is amazing and really brought my nails back to life! She is really good at creating a perfectly shaped nail for your finger. Before, my previous manicurist kept my acrylics too long and even filed them unevenly at times. Eda, however, ensures the right and left nails match--without me having to double check! She is very gentle and takes her time with everything. I really loved how she even cleaned the underside of my acrylics where my real nails had started to grow out. That constant attention to detail is something I value in a manicurist. If I lived closer, I'd definitely visit her more often! Happiness nails itself is a really nice salon! It's kept clean, everything is new and updated, the pedi massage chairs are extremely comfortable, and my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the 30 minute foot and leg massage that came with his pedicure! They even let him wait in the massage chair until Eda was finished with my full set! Keep in mind, we did come on a Wednesday afternoon (~3 PM) so it wasn't busy. I definitely recommend making an appointment before coming as Eda and Anna seem to be the most sought after manicurists. My full set with gel polish was around $33 and took around an hour to complete. read more

Made a appointment to get my nails done. I hit there early and my manicurist took me early. It's a relaxing atmosphere. Calming music is playing. All the manicurists are soft spoken. My nails looks perfect. Your always greeting with a smile and when your done and about to leave they always say thank you for coming and good bye. read more

I went to see Eda yesterday.... She is a super sweet lady, this was my third time coming to her and will continue coming to see her. I told exactly how I like my nails and she totally executed it!!! She shaped them to perfection and made them thin just how I like them. The all pink nails are from yesterday. Thanks Eda!!!! Eda did my nails in the 3 pictures shown. Got myself a deluxe spa pedicure. My experience was so relaxing and comfortable. Made a 2 PM appt. with Van. I was greeted at the front desk, by Katie. She let my nail tech knows that i'm here for the pedi. Van greeted me with a Hi and asked, how my day was going. I already like her once I saw her friendly gesture and her beautiful smile. I got the deluxe pedi with gel polish. She did mentioned that is $10 more for gel polish just in case I didn't know about it. Which is nice because some people can get really upset without informing them first. As for me, that's no problem because anything that has to do with gel will cost a lil more VS reg. Nail polish. If you do your nails often YOU should know anything with gel, designs, add ons will be extra :) I'm so happy that I got Van. She have such a bubbly personality. I'm already in love with her. She's always smiling and funny too. I'm always a fan of sweet nail tech because it make the experience more memorable. As for my pedi goes, she give the best foot massage and the stone massage was a pleasant relaxation to my sore legs. The scrub was great also. Like she's scratching my feet which feels good because it was getting itchy anyways. She made sure that there was no hanging cuticles and went back a few times to cut and nip. Which I am grateful for. The color selection was great too! Nude colors for summer is the color. #884. At the end I got a basic manicure too. Water soak, file, buff and gel polish for $25. We have been going here for years. This establishment is very clean and the employees are extremely kind. They are also set up for the Covid-19 guidelines. You must wear a mask. You fill out paperwork and they take your temperature. There are plexiglass shields/barriers for both nail and pedicure stations. read more

The color and shape is good, except the way they were done was significantly different from my other experiences with getting my dip nails done. The outer cuticles were completely covered with the nail base and dip powder that makes them look messy. It's hard to clean it up myself because of the hardness of the dip. read more

First time here. I am from SF and I was just in Ell Grove for a couple days and decided to get my nails done. Anyways, I called them around 4pm and they said I could just walk-in. I came around 5 and was able to get a spot; I only waited a few minutes for someone to come. Vicky came and she got started immediately. It took shorter amount of time compared to other places in SF that I've been to. There was no kind of massage or "spa" included in the routine, not even the warm towel that I usually get in SF. Not sure if things are just different here. Price: I came for a full set of acrylics and on the phone, they said $22 (which was super cheap!! I thought maybe she misheard and thought I said a manicure/pedicure) but Vicky told me it would be $25 for the full set, which was also fine. It was an additional $12 if you wanted to get gel so it would've been $37. I just went with regular polish this time. I paid her $5 tips so total was $30. Acrylic Quality: I like the shape and length Vicky helped me achieve!! My left thumb was slightly uneven, but it's not extremely noticeable. To the polish part- I had a hard time choosing a color and didn't come prepared so I took a while looking. Vicky had to rush me because she said she had another customer, which I understand. However, I guess that was why my nails ended up a tad sloppy :( In the pictures, you can see my polish was messy and not evenly coated all the way.. Overall: I mean, this place is super inexpensive compared to other places. I heard everyone goes to Eda from the reviews, but I would definitely give this place another try! read more

Made an appointment at noon, it is currently 12:50pm and I am just being seen. Apparently walk-ins take priority before their appointments. They apologized stating the other patrons came at the same time as us. Not a good excuse if you ask me, why even bother taking appointments at that point? Go to Sparkle Nails instead. read more

WOW--just wow. You guys, please take my word for it. This nail salon is amazing. I had the most horrible experience a day prior to coming here. My nails were a monstrosity! Like, I'm offended by how bad that a previous salon did them. I swear, I'm not even very picky. They were HORRID. I'm not going to put that specific salon on blast, but you can check my Yelp reviews to see. I came here and I was so embarrassed by my nails. In fact, when I was getting my pedicure before getting my nails redone, I could tell they were laughing at my nails. But they had every right to! If you check the review, you will laugh as well. Anyways, Vickie did my nails and took her time. She removed them, took proper care of them, and did them all over again. She even told me she was laughing with her coworker in Vietnamese. She was great conversation and so sweet. She also told me to next time just make an appointment with her so I don't have to ever go through that again, haha. Everything is priced fairly and I was soooooo happy with my final result! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she replicated every detail. Also, I didn't talk much about the pedicure but it was also very good! She was very attentive and careful when working with my feet--which I seriously appreciate. Okay here I am doing another nail salon review! I warned you all I am a nail salon "tramp"! I don't stay with one salon for long. However I started coming here to see Anna as a recommendation from one of the checkers at Raleys! I have been coming consistently for about 6 months now. Pros - Reasonably priced for non gel nail fills. Around $15 to $18 to start and of course the price goes up with designs , gel, fiberglass etc. Anna and Cindy are talented Techs and take their time with out being pokey. Great selection of gel and non gel color options of Polish Daisy DND brand which has a gel and non gel option of each color. Typical looking nail salon , somewhat cluttered and not the best set up as the pedicure stations are in the middle of the room.. seems pretty clean though. Located close to my house. Cons- Be prepared to wait even with an appointment here . It gets somewhat frustrating when you are waiting 20 to 30 minutes past your appointment time but since the price is reasonable and the work is quality I am willing to deal with it. I just ensure I am not pressed for time when I go in . I have been a few minutes late for my appointments and still usually wait a few minutes which evens things out. My wife and I came here on date night and I left a happy camper. I was a little apprehensive as I have never had a pedicure before. The facility is clean and well maintained. Parking is fairly easy as they share a huge lot with several neighboring businesses. My wife got a mani and pedi and I just got a pedi. I take care of myself and my nails were fine. However my feet are calloused and dried out and were in need of some TLC. I left a new man and my feet felt like a million bucks. Service was attentive and friendly. I sprung for the hot stone massage and it was to die for. I passed on the clear coat cause I'm not that kind of guy. Overall it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back. Beware if you're going to leave a tip, let them know before they run your card. I assumed you could pen one in but that's not the case. Luckily they were cool about it and ran my card again and didn't make me feel bad. read more

Cindy is always keeping my nails on fleek with every visit. She has pretty much updated polish, powder dips, wide variety gel and regular colors. My Acrylic nails alone can last up to 3-4 weeks! It's always best to call and book an appointment in advanced! Trust me you won't be disappointed! read more

Since 80% of my Yelp reviews are about salons and spas, it's no secret that I'm a spa/salon junkie. Clearly, I'd get daily manis & pedis if I had the time. Therefore, I know the difference between a "crazy" nail salon and a "crazy good" nail salon. I'm also picky about sanitation, and being able to communicate with my nail tech, and friendly service, and weird odors, and a hundred other things. Went here for the first time today. I wanted to book an appt with Anna but it was too late. Instead, I walked in and I got Linda as my manicurist. I did a full set, showed her a picture of what I wanted and she seemed like she knew what she was doing. I give this place a 4 only because two of my nails are kind of uneven but the bright side is that I got gel for only $27! Of course I tipped her, but other places are so expensive with their gel polish, this place is reasonable! I'll come again, but maybe try Anna next time! read more

I come here about once a month to get a gel manicure and pedicure. The results can be pretty hit or miss, depending on the nail technician. I think out of them all Jessica is my favorite. I usually never have to wait when I walk in, but if it's around a holiday, there's definitely gonna be a wait. I would recommend calling ahead and making an appointment read more

I have been coming to this nail salon off and on for the last 5 years. I have tried multiple salons in the great Elk Grove area and when it comes to a great pedicure, I always end up right back at Happiness Nails. If I had just gotten a pedicure yesterday then this would have been a 5 star review. However, this was not the case. In addition to my pedicure, I got my eyebrows waxed. The lady was honestly a bit rough, she laid me down on the chair/bed and started with some aggressive wiping of the skin around my brows, applied wax and did one fast rub of the cloth and ripped. Okay not too crazy since she is literally pulling hair out of my face, so we finish, again with rough wiping of things off and on my face. I asked her not to apply any oil, she got irritated that I would ask such a thing as she applied and then told me she was going to apply aloe vera. I'm thinking, hopefully I don't get a rash as I normally do with the oil. She finishes, I don't even look as I just wanna get outta there at this point. Until I get home. I cried at my eyebrows, I have a rather hard time growing in the fuller looking eyebrows that I have (had) and to my surprise when I looked at them they are incredibly thin and not shaped at all how I requested. If I seen a picture of my own eyebrows right now I would swear to you I have no idea who they belonged to. I am not only crying of anger but of disbelief that someone could have even achieved this in such a short amount of time. So, if you are into surprise eyebrows then this is definitely your new place!! read more

Sounds funny, but eh, at least I don't have the mushroom top head look. My thick hair and the cut I want is not an easy hair cut to do. The description sounds funny, but with gel it's a clean military look or akin to school kids going to grade school. Not my thing but, the maturity aura can be fixed with longer hair on top. Believe the best way to say is it that I have a heart shaped face. That means the top of my hair should look like an egg to my preference. The haircut I want isn't for the faint. Mess up and you cannot fix it. It's why most fades on my hair type sticks out and is not flat on the sides like a flat top. Once Mindy understood I was willing to take the risk, I was rewarded in something that many hairdressers cannot cut and or is willing to do. Which is to fade free hand, then rat tail comb fade the edges on top with a clipper and texture with scissors. Mind you I watched a long time before giving her the go ahead to take the risk. Sounds a lot of work right? Hair dressers will complain doing this type of cut. It's a lot of work, will take time. Mindy does this for me. And for that I tip well. To be fair, I get my hair cut once a month. But it's usually the best way to learn as the hair has grown out and everything needs to be redone again. Note. Tip what you can, I usually tip hourly wage max to half. Mindy gets more, that's how much I like the cut. 15 to 25 percent minimum wage is a good tip. That being said Mindy takes time, is patient, and remembers you. Everything you would want in a hairdresser. I really should come every two weeks but I got things to do. Mindy does textbook style hair cutting. Which doesn't work with my hair cause you don't really expect an Asian with an Afro like hair type, thick, and straight. Takes time to learn cultured hair types. My hair is a rarity. Mindy learned quickly how to cut and tame it. Qualities of a true hair dresser. Note. I got my hair cut by Lynn too. She's good, but she's busy and I believe she understands my haircut and hair is annoying to do. The guy and new girl are good too. Just a preference and patience to be had.

Total waste of time I understand Thursday evening can start getting busy but when people schedule appointments they should be taken on time or they should be honest like we don't have any appts available. I had a appointment at 3:30 the tech didn't start my feet till 4 after trimming my toes she left to take care of another client. Came back at 4:15 again.
