What a great little spot! I was looking for a place with yummy bagels & I've been here before but not in hella years! And randomly came today after church! And this sausage, egg, cheese croissant hit the spot! 10/10 recommend!

This donut was quite literally life changing. The apple fritter I got was absolutely ginormous and so yummy. I also got some donut holes which were pretty addicting.

My husband and I LOVE this place! The owners are so sweet and kind. The donuts are obviously great. The coffee is really good. BUT - these breakfast burritos are NOT to be slept on. Seriously so so good! They're big too! I can't recommend enough. Also, I cannot stress enough how friendly all the staff is, just a wonderful family. We usually come with our dog and take turns inside placing our order and take it to go. One day we'll eat there, it's a great little donut/breakfast shop. Absolutely love it!

    Pretty good donut. Very happy.

Great hole in the wall. Good was surprisingly good. Loved the sandwich. Great donut but I've had better. Either way, I'm very happy

Fresh doughnuts, Yummy sandwiches, good coffee, Friendly staff. Nice and cozy inside. Thank you

My wife normally can't eat half in one sitting but the taste was so good it gave her eating superpowers

High-level breakfast burrito at a small Cambodian owned donut shop in Daly city, made fresh to order and delicious. The ingredients are well spread and portioned, pico de gallo is wrapped in the burrito, and the tortilla is great. Every bite contributes to the greater whole and you get some of everything in each mouthful. The only place I can think of in the bay area that is as good is rose donuts in San Jose. I saved half for my wife because I wanted her to try it and when she saw how large it was she told me she would only eat a couple bites and I could have the rest. She ended up shooing me away and killing the whole thing. Got a brewed coffee as well, it was OK. Breakfast burrito so good happy donuts deserves the full 5 stars.

Ordered a #13 breakfast bagel with one dozen donut holes and had my cravings satisfied!! The lady in the front was so generous to give me an extra one dozen donut holes and I thought that was so sweet of her! Happy Donut is such a cozy mom & pop shop, that for sure looks like they get a decent amount of business in the morning. I went around 12pm and the donuts were mostly taken. I hesitated to get a breakfast sandwich , but was so happy I gave in. I may be over exaggerating, but for an ordinary sausage, egg and cheese bagel it was so GOOD! I didn't even get to take a picture of it because I kept eating LOL. Should definitely check this place out in the morning for some donuts and breakfast sandwiches! Carmina D recommended :D

Went here for a quick breakfast before work and I'm so glad my boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place. Ive been living in Daly City almost my whole life and today was my first time.. definitely wont be my last! They offer a variety of sandwiches, donuts, and pastries all for an affordable price. We ordered two breakfast crossaint sandwiches: egg & cheese, and sausage, bacon, egg w cheese. They actually fry their eggs here instead of microwaving it and their crossaints were so fresh and fluffy! Never had anything like it. We also picked up an apple fritter to try and it was really good too. Their customer service was on point too, we left feeling very satisfied!

"Wait a minute, Doc. Ah... Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?" - Back to the Future For what it's worth - a 1950's donut shop in a tiny strip mall - 5-stars! Especially if it's Sunday at 5:40am in the morning and nothing's open except Royal Donuts (with a customer base from Con Air), City Cafe (with like zero humans in there), hmm so I peruse Yelp for "coffee" and Happy Donut pops up! I'm in the area for another week house sitting my friend's 6-bedroom house. Yup, imagine the Brady Bunch house, sans Alice & the kids. As my friend tours Europe with his wife, I'm bestowed the honors of babysitting his dogs, cat, fish & Venus flytraps! So today is Sunday and my "off day". I realize that in the suburbs nothing really opens until the rooster crows! My motorcycle safely in San Francisco and first train ride into Clarksville not for another 2-hours - I'm literally stuck in the Brady Bunch house! Fortunately, Yelp is open 24/7 and it led me to a simple donut shop just 2-blocks from my friend's house. Happy Donut is in a tiny strip mall shared with a Laundromat, a Liquor Store, and something forgettable with Marty McFly passing by on his skateboard! Yet, if you're in need of a fantastic cup of classic coffee with the freshest donuts just south of Hill Valley High this is the spot to be! All in all, exactly what's needed in the 'burbs! Just don't expect fancy schmancy! It's a donut shop and nothing more. What impressed me the most is how clean, inviting, diverse, with a nice selection of the freshest donuts & croissants, and at least 8 different kinds of coffee! A small cup of smooth Joe runs about $1.60 and the freshest chocolate croissant for under $3.00. As I eavesdrop the Latinos in one corner, overpowering the morning news on the TV... I can't help smiling thinking about Marty McFly's mom... El Hottie! Hey, it's been awhile so don't judge how my mind wanders off into another era;) Time to catch my morning train...

You want something that's fresh, not fried...quick, but never rushed...and somewhere within the broad definition of a "healthy eating plan." Where do you go? Top of the Hill Cafe in wonderfully foggy Daly City. On this particular evening, I decided on the Combination Bánh Mì, which, after careful scientific evaluation, contains all the essential food groups... Meat, vegetables, grains, and a little pâté for good measure. And of course...A Diet Coke to keep the calories in check....It's called balance. I found a quiet table, expecting this to be a simple "eat-and-go" meal. Instead, it turned into one of those sandwiches that quietly reminds you how extraordinary simple food can be when every ingredient is thoughtfully prepared. Let's start with the baguette. A beautifully golden crust with just the right amount of crunch, giving way to a soft, airy interior that was light enough to absorb every flavor without falling apart. Every bite delivered that satisfying contrast between crisp and pillowy that defines a great bánh mì. Then came the fillings...Silky pâté...Tender marinated grilled pork...Savory Vietnamese cold cuts. Each one bringing its own texture and depth while working together in perfect harmony. The pickled daikon and carrots were outstanding. Bright, crisp, pleasantly vinegary, with just enough sweetness to cut through the richness of the meats without overwhelming them. And then came my favorite part...a generous handful of cilantro, mint, and basil. Those fresh herbs didn't simply garnish the sandwich...they lifted it. Every bite became brighter, more aromatic, and wonderfully balanced. It was like someone turned up the volume on every flavor. Even the Diet Coke somehow felt like the perfect supporting actor, adding that crisp, refreshing finish between bites and bringing the whole meal together like a surprisingly well-rehearsed culinary orchestra. By the time I finished, I realized something. I had completely forgotten that this was supposed to be a quick bite before heading home. Instead, I found myself sitting there just a little longer, enjoying the last sip of my drink and appreciating how something as humble as a bánh mì could be so thoughtfully executed. Sometimes the simplest meals leave the biggest impression. Overall: 4.5 stars. Top of the Hill Cafe serves a beautifully balanced bánh mì with fresh ingredients, exceptional bread, vibrant herbs, and perfectly prepared pickled vegetables. It's proof that great sandwiches don't need unnecessary extravagance. Just quality ingredients and the care to let each one shine. Come hungry...and Go Big!!!

Having a place that's open practically around the clock is such a luxury, and it's become one of those businesses that the Sunset is lucky to have. One of my favorite things is that the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted by the smell of freshly baked pastries. It's exactly what you hope for when you walk into a neighborhood café. Even better, they taste every bit as fresh as they smell--flaky, buttery, and consistently delicious. It's the kind of place where it's hard to leave with just one pastry. The coffee is always hot, fresh, and ready to go, making it an easy stop whether you're in a rush or taking your time. And if you're hungry, don't skip the sandwiches. I was tempted at first to get a banh mi but opted instead to order their namesake items, and I'm ultimately glad I did because I think they're a more accurate representation of their offerings. I got a loaded veggie bagel without cream cheese, as I wanted to add my own Kite Hill dairy free cream cheese, and a "cinnamon roll". The reason for the quotes around cinnamon roll is vector ended up being a doughnut shaped like a cinnamon roll topped with glaze and crumbles. The bagel was great! I received a toasted sesame bagel, which was a surprise because there was not an option to select type on Uber Eats. I love sesame so was quite satisfied. The bagel was stuffed to the brim with veggies, so it was a fantastic way to smash in some healthy produce to start my day. The cinnamon roll doughnut, however, was too sweet, and I'm really not a doughnut person. Like I would probably never go out of my way for one. It was so big I couldn't finish it and ended up composting the rest. I'm glad I tried it to fairly assess the place but wouldn't get again and honestly only added it to my cart to meet the minimum Uber Eats delivery spend to avoid higher fees.

He explains there aren't many flavors left because most of his business is through online orders. We asked him to help us pick out 4 cupcakes, and he was pretty chatty about them all. After we picked out our 4 cupcakes, he gave us one for free (wow - thanks so much). That took the sting out of $6 cupcakes. The place is a bakery and store front, but no seating. They have cupcakes, mochi donuts, savory muffins, and various drinks. Their baked good are made with rice flour and coconut milk, so their cupcakes are light and moist. They kinda have a mochi-coconut flavor, but not the sticky mochi texture. Most of their cupcakes have some type of filling inside, which adds to the moistness. All their flavors are really creative, and some of the ones we got today I don't even see on their online menu. The instructions say best served heated for a few seconds, but I found the cream gets too melty. It tastes fine without heating imo. What we got: + Ube cookies and cream - ube and coconut forward. Yum. + Guava - this had a dollop guava jam on top and some squirted inside too. The guava adds just the perfect bit of tartness to the cupcake. + Nutella - there's a dollop of nutella on top that fills part of cupcake inside. + Churro Biscoff - pretty gooey inside, which may be due to heating it a few seconds. Still very yummy. It's a good thing I don't live close to one of these stores or I'd be here every day. I prefer these to Sprinkles cupcakes for the same price point.
