HORRIBLE Experience! No way will I ever go back. First of all the man who "massaged" me (if you can call it that) was a heavy smoker and his hands smelled so bad. It was the most disgusting massage I've ever had. I couldn't wait for it to be over. Beside the stinky, gross hands, he was not a good masseuse. Definitely the worst I've had and I've had a lot. Both expensive and 25 dollar massages. Nothing has ever been this bad. I doubt the guy was even trained. It was just bad, bad, bad. Got a great deal on Groupon - 60-Minute Full Body Massage with Cinnamon Foot Soak for $25. I went with a friend and we had an appointment at 2:30 but showed up around 2 and they took us in pretty quick. The massage area is fairly open - they have curtains separating the massage tables. The masseuse spent most of the time massaging my feet which I liked since my feet were pretty sore, but the rest of the massage was a little rough. The guy at the front desk (didn't get his name) didn't want to honor the Groupon my friend gave me. supposedly he couldn't find it in the database and as he was supposedly searching for the voucher # he kept cursing saying "stupid"... I was not happy about the treatment and so i pulled up my own Groupon that I purchased for $25 the same amount as my friend's Groupon and the front desk guy didn't want to take it because it was for weekdays only... As I was reading some of these reviews I was skeptical to going to this place. I am an esthetician so I'm pretty familiar of what a good massage is. Some of the reviews are pretty harsh. What do you expect your paying 40 dollars for a massage. Your not walking into a Burke Williams or the Langham hotel. Your paying for $40 not $150. so dont expect to get the worlds best message. I was a loyal customer of this establishment for at least three years and I have always gotten the signature 1 hour massage for $40. As stated in my previous review, I never even tried to get a Groupon, I was fine paying the usual rate and came in dozens of times. However, regardless of that fact at my most recent visit it became very apparent that my loyalty was not appreciated and that customer retention is not a concern of this business. Given their overall poor rating I doubt they will be around much longer (the Glendale location recently closed as well). First of all, as soon as I walked in I noticed it smelled very strongly of mold and mildew. I immediately mentioned this fact to the front desk person. Then I went ahead with the massage. This time I asked for a focus on the neck and shoulders due to a pain in my shoulder. Throughout the massage I noticed the strange smell which affected my enjoyment and comfort with the massage. I wasn't going to say anything else then since I had already mentioned it and planned to try to email the owner to let him know of the smell. After the massage was over, the receptionist tried to charge me $55 (vs. the usual $40 rate, which is a 40% price difference). He explained that I had received a 'neck and shoulder' procedure which costs $55 vs the signature which is $40. Hold up - same amount of time, done on the same massage bed, only difference is that the masseuse spent more time on the neck and shoulders and less time on the feet. I was already not very happy with the smell, and explained that I did not ask for a different procedure but rather for more focus on my neck and shoulder area (which I've asked for before). The employee was unreasonable and indifferent, he ended up calling a manager. He then made ME speak to the manager directly instead of handling the situation himself. Then after the manager agreed I would be charged the usual rate, the receptionist took my card and instead charged me the higher rate without my consent. I was understandably upset and the receptionist (who was very unhelpful) made ANOTHER phone call, apparently this time to the owner (GEORGE), and again made me speak to him directly. At this point I learned that the way this company is handled comes directly from the owner (not surprising). I had to state my case AGAIN and the owner so much as admitted that if I had specifically asked for the signature massage but to focus on my neck the price would have been $40, but since I didn't mentioned the word 'signature' and only 'neck and shoulder' the price was $55. This type of pricing is unclear, arbitrary and total BS. It also did not matter to him that I had dealt with a bad smell which affected my enjoyment, and that I was a repeat customer who had been coming for years. At this point it wasn't even about the money but rather the way I was treated. George (who was rude and condescending) preferred to argue with me over why I was 'wrong' instead of try to find a solution. He actually preferred to try to get an extra $15 instead of keep a long term customer, who, ahem, had previously written a 5 star review. He even went so far as to question whether I had actually mentioned the smell before the massage (I had), and to tell me I went about it the wrong way by not telling a manager. His arguments devolved into insanity. I could not believe my ears. The only people at the place was a person in the front manning the reception desk and the masseuses. If there is not a manager onsite that is not the fault of the patrons nor is it their responsibility to know the job titles of each employee, as I reported the issue to the only person available. I will not be back and plan to report this business to the city for mold inspection. APPALLING customer service, this place is very poorly managed. 80% of a business's profits come from repeat customers. Good luck making a profit on $20 Groupons! read more

People are very rude to deal with.So I purchased my Groupon for this place and enjoyed it the first when they first opened. So I purchased more Groupons, but sad to say I let them expire. No big deal to me I've it this before and this place always honor the amount paid no problem. Thanks to all the prior yelp reviews, I had a good idea about what to expect. I went first thing on a Sunday, and it was empty. While the tables are separated by just curtains, since there were no other customers there, it was rather quiet. The only thing that was slightly offputting was an employee who was a few tables over was taking a nap started snoring loudly. How's that for sleeping on the job!?!? I would give this place zero stars if possible. Worst customer service ever and they are, quite simply, taking advantage of people. I purchased a living social voucher for a massage quite a while ago and finally found time to make an appt. When I first called they claimed to have tons of appointments available. My schedule wouldn't permit a massage at that time so I called back on the Monday the certificate was set to expire. The expiration date was Saturday and the woman on the phone claimed there was not a single appointment available until Sunday. That worked for my schedule so I said, "I have the Living Social certificate that's expiring. I'll be able to use it, right?" And she said "yes.". My boyfriend made an appt for the same date and time and we set off happily for our massages on Sunday afternoon. When I got there, however, the girl at the counter claimed that I would have to pay for the massage because the certificate expired!!! I explained the entire situation and she called the manager. They did not speak in english so I don't know whhat was said, but the girl laughed, got off the phone, and said that her manager claimed she never said that and I would have to pay. At this point I was furious since this was a blatant lie! Plus, the fact that she laughed and the way she acted indicated to me that they knew they were ripping people off and likely did it on purpose (probably appointments were available earlier in the week too!). I told the girl that they were losing more money now because my boyfriend would cancel his appt as well but I guess the measly $22 they stole from me blinded them to the biggger picture (not to mention every rule of customer service out there). We stormed off and she shouted a snotty-sounding apology as we left. Oh, and the place looks like a dump anyway. The decor is cheesy and cheap. I purchased a couple of Groupons for Happy Feet, and went today for the first time. Mary was my massage therapist and she did an excellent job - not too firm, not too gentle - just about right in pressure. While my feet were soaking, she gave me a scalp and facial massage, including the neck and shoulders, and then moving on to the arms and hands. Next were the feet and legs - all of this facing up. The last part of the massage was face down while she worked on my back side. She used a cucumber/melon smelling oil on my legs and neck and I found the fragrance very pleasant. I would recommend this place and I will go back again (one more Groupon to use). I read several comments about the cost and availability of parking, so I just took the Gold Line train, got off at Memorial Park and walked the three blocks to the location. Not a bad walk, and no stress of looking for a parking place or facing traffic. Worked for me. read more

If you're like me and have been going to foot spas for years and are used to a regular $20-25 foot massage including your whole body, this is NOT the place to go! I didn't even think to ask if they did the back as well for the "foot massage" because I have never, literally never, been to a place that didn't do, face, head, neck, shoulders, feet and legs and then flip you over to end with the back. On top of that, it wasn't even a good foot massage! My back literally hurts more than before I went. And when we went up to pay, they were more concerned looking at the basketball game then addressing us. And they're small, only 4 tables. And despite having made an appointment for 2 people, we weren't placed next to each other. Minor detail but I like being next to the person I go with. read more

I have been here three times, each with a different person. I have gotten the focused massage on neck and back as well as the full body massage, and each time the person working on me has magically been able to find every tense spot in my back and work it perfectly. I have a very tense shoulder area and like my massages deep and rough; they were happy to accommodate and were friendly and sweet the whole way through (despite the fact that at one point I feel like I broke the girl's hands with the degree of intensity I wanted). My boyfriend is always asking me to rub his feet, and I'm always telling him no, I don't do that. But I bought him a Groupon to someplace that will. And after several months of trying to sweetly coerce him into going I finally just called them myself and made him an appointment, easily done for early afternoon day-of. I packed him up and shipped him out and he returned a new and very happy man. I've never gone here myself (as much as I don't like touching others' feet I don't like others touching mine), but my bf raved about every aspect and said his masseur managed to work out all of his back kinks. In asking him why he had fought going for so long he replied, "Well, you didn't tell me it would be that amazing!!" I liked this place! I, like many others, had a groupon deal. My situation ended up being that my deal was going to expire on the 25th of September, but I called them and asked them if there's any way to extend it, and they said, "OF COURSE"! She actually wanted to schedule me for the next day, but I was busy so I asked if they can do a week later, and she agreed and scheduled me in for Friday Oct 4. I went in about 1:30 pm, and it wasn't that busy but there were a few customers in there. Still it was very quiet and serene. When the other people talk about the privacy issue, yea it feels a bit weird not being in a separate room, but this kind of massage is set to be like that. If they want privacy, I suggest getting an appointment for Thai or Swedish massage, they usually do separate rooms. I have been to many places for this kind of foot massage, and I have had bad experiences, and I was definitely pleased with this place. The receptionist was really nice, took my groupon print out and walked me to the back, through the hallway to the bed among other beds separated by a thin curtain. The lady that was massaging me was really nice, spoke to me with a smile, and did her work caringly, not too strong, not too weak. She took just the same amount of time for my feet and legs, as she did for my head, neck, shoulders and rest of my body. Only thing I didn't like about her work....I could feel her yawning every 2 minutes for the most part of my massage (trust me lady I am sleepy too, but control yourself).
