Excellent service! Beautiful little quaint restaurant. Can watch the world cup matches. Food is good (not amazing, but better than good). It's a little overpriced, but still worth trying.

Amazing food and service. The yaquitos and ceviche was delicious. Good sangria too. The flan was so perfect and good

This restaurant was a pretty nice one to check out. Their octopus appetizer was to die for well seasoned and the potatoes were a great touch. I really enjoyed the food they had however the main dishes weren't as flavorful as this appetizer. The service was very nice. They're super friendly, but it does take a little bit of time. They're a little bit slow. I really enjoyed this restaurant I would go back. I hope they can add a little bit more to their main dishes.

Happy Fish serves up a cozy and authentic vibe that makes you feel right at home. The interior is warm and inviting, and the decor gives off real Peruvian charm. Started with the Yuca a la Huancaína, crispy fried yuca served with a creamy cheese sauce that hit all the comfort food notes. For dinner, I had the Tallarines Verde con Lomo Saltado--a pesto pasta paired with flavorful beef stir fry. Both dishes were solid, but I found myself wanting a bit more salt. (Then again, I like things on the saltier side, so... take that feedback with a grain of salt. ) Not the best Peruvian restaurant in Tampa but definitely worth a try!

I came here with a group of friends and overall we liked it. The restaurant is located in a big plaza with many parking spots. Once arrived we were seated and the waitress immediately took our order. However, after that he didn't check on us again. We tried ceviche mixto and pescado a lo macho. The size of the portion of ceviche was way smaller than the portions I have tried in other places, and the price was more expensive. The taste was fine. The pescado a la macho was OK. The calamari was very soft, but the sauce lacked of flavor a bit. My friends also ordered tacu tacu woth lomo, pollo saltado, and olluco. Their portions were bigger and they seemed to enjoy the flavor.

I feel like you have to know to speak spanish to communicate and express yourself here. Good thing we have a peruvian in the group and ordered for us. Big servings but Service is slow af too. We were waiting for a to go order for the longest time got it wrong and we have to wait again.

Happy Fish is a solid go-to for well-executed Peruvian food paired with excellent service. I ordered the chargrilled Peruvian chicken with maduros, rice, and black beans, and it was done very well. The chicken was juicy with a nice char and balanced seasoning. The maduros were tender and caramelized, and the rice and beans complemented the plate without overpowering it. We started with the ceviche on tostones, which was the standout. Fresh, bright, and well-seasoned ceviche served on crispy tostones that held up nicely--great flavor and texture all around. I also had one of their traditional Peruvian drinks, which was refreshing and well-balanced, not overly sweet, and paired nicely with the food. What really set this place apart was the service--attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish. Food came out promptly, and the staff was genuinely welcoming. Overall, Happy Fish delivers quality food, strong service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a spot I'd return to and recommend if you're in Tampa and craving Peruvian cuisine.

This place looks like a hole-in-the-wall from the outside, but the inside is really nice. The fried rice is honestly some of the best I've had--Peruvians really know how to make rice. The lomo saltado was also really good. Service was a little slow, but overall it's a great spot for dinner.

Truly Outstanding -- From Start to Finish We had an incredible meal, and Kevin (the owner and our server) made the entire experience even better. He was welcoming, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food he serves. You can tell this place is his pride and joy. We started with the octopus appetizer, and it set the tone immediately. It was perfectly cooked -- tender with a beautiful char -- and topped with a fresh herb and pepper sauce that added just the right brightness. It came with buttery Peruvian corn and roasted potatoes that soaked up all that flavor. Easily some of the best octopus we've had. The ceviche was equally impressive -- incredibly fresh, bright, and balanced. The red onions, cancha corn, sweet potato, plantain chips, and avocado gave it amazing texture and contrast. Every bite was vibrant and refreshing. The flavors continued to shine. Everything was cooked beautifully and plated thoughtfully -- rich, savory, and layered without being heavy. And the potato donuts to finish? Absolutely addictive. Warm, slightly crisp on the outside, soft inside, and drizzled with a caramel-like sauce. Such a fun and delicious way to end the meal. Five stars all the way. Amazing food, warm service, and a memorable experience thanks to Kevin. We'll definitely be back.

Absolutely loved this tucked away spot for Peruvian food. Happy Fish has such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the aesthetic inside is charming without feeling overdone. Everything we ordered tasted incredibly fresh and full of flavor. You can tell they put a lot of care into the ingredients and how the food is prepared. The service was just as impressive. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. From the ceviche to the lomo saltado, every dish was spot on. It truly feels like a hidden gem in Tampa. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying even more off the menu.

Peruvian perfection. Calamari was not tough-- seafood dishes fresh and not drowning in sauce. Best place in the area. Service was great too.

They located on the left building behind the sales center. The menu is very simple. I would suggest you go for the Grand Bowl with two protein and three base. This bowl is the most valuable. I have the brown rice, grill sweet potatoes and congri rice as the base. The brown rice has beef added some flavor which is desirable to eat. The two vegetables are grilled broccoli and sautéed mushrooms. The two protein is double steak. Those are the best. The steak do have some tendon. The taste flavor is there and there are not too salty, the price is affordable and reasonable. I like the choice of the protein, veggies and base. It also has some cost plus add on items if you choose to. Overall they have to cook the addition steak but the wait is very short.

DoorDash did receive my complaint and issued a refund for part of my order total. I ordered a Grande Bowl with moro rice, sweet potatoes, churrasco, green beans and cilantro dressing. The size was good, enough for a big dinner and a light lunch the next day. I was disappointed by the missing sweet potatoes, but everything else was pretty good, although a little salty with the cilantro sauce (I didnt use the sauce the next day, and I thought the saltiness was perfect). The portion of protein was very good. The green beans were crispy, not limp. The moro rice was not dry, which is always a concern. I think Alimento is a convenient and solid choice for a simple, not too unhealthful meal. I'm more interested in ordering in person to avoid the DD markup, but even with the markup, it was a very decent meal.
