Usually the sauce isn't bona fide hot fudge... it's thin, runny chocolate "sauce." Boooooo. At Ghirardelli, however, it's the real deal, and it's phenomenal. When my family and I came to the parks in April, we found our way to Ghirardelli. It was so freakin' good, in fact, that I forgot to take my usual photos. Photos of something so amazingly good, and I simply forgot cuz I was so focused on the euphoria I was feeling and tasting over my sundae. This is a great place, and to be honest, as familiar as I am with Ghirardelli products, this may have been the first time I've had one of their hot fudge sundaes. This was one of my highlights of visiting DCA. I'll definitely return to DCA for this alone !!

Ghirardelli offers a magic key discount which is a bonus! We also ordered water cups and the cashier even informed us that we could order more as they were small. Our banana split was ready within a few minutes where we picked it up at the counter. The banana split was the perfect sweet treat and we split it between 3 people. However, it was kind of pricey in my opinion. Ghirardelli did not offer any indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor seating was available. It was a not so busy night so we were able to find seating pretty quickly.

Well..us, but specifically in the context that actually matters, and that's dessert. My ideal sweet treat is one that's warm, has a nice crispy texture paired with a gooey one. To paint a better visual, I'm a glutton for a strong caramelized, browned flavor that's contrasted with an exceptionally rich, soft interior. Few things fall into this category, but to name a few, I'm president of the following fan clubs: fresh baked cookies, brownies, blondies, crepes, pecan bars, flourless chocolate cake, cinnamon rolls, sticky toffee pudding, churros, chess pie/gooey butter cake, and bananas foster. I feel like Cathy did exactly what she needed to do here. She provided a delicious serving of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies on a hot summer day, and it was a bigger portion than I knew what to do with. My friend and I shared a sleeve of them between us. I forgot how much it cost, but the markup was relatively steep since this stand was located inside of Downtown Disney. I'd definitely come back in the future, but would probably grab a bottle of milk next time!
