A1. Green Tea with Salted Cheese (Cold)
    Jose G.

This place is consistent with their drinks. We usually get our salted cream teas and it usually is yummily made. The place is well maintained. I've never noticed it in disarray. Clean, bright, environment. The service is the inconsistent part. It's been great lately but it does depends on who's behind the counter. Hopefully this new crew stays longer.

I've seen this Happy Lemon for some time now ever since I frequent the Osaka Marketplace for food. I guess I've always leaned on getting Gong Cha or Teaspoon which is in the same plaza but this day, I decided to go to Happy Lemon to try them out finally! L O C A T I O N As I mentioned, this is in the same plaza as Osaka Market and various other restaurants and shops. It gets really busy here and parking can be quite hard. I would try to avoid lunch time for sure and go on off peak times. Also be careful driving around the parking lot, I've gotten almost in a couple accidents as people pull out without looking or turn into roads...but then again that's any parking lot. I N S I D E It's not a huge place, but they do have a few tables and chairs if you're wanting to hang out there a little bit. It's decently clean. M E N U Very similar to any Happy Lemon location but they had lychee jello topping! YAY so of course I had to get that with my drink. I got a standard green milk tea with no sugar and no ice. ~ Green Milk Tea with Lychee Jello ~ The green milk tea was very bitter unfortunately which means it was oversteeped. I think some places unfortunately do this to accommodate for ice/watering down the drink. So adjust your sugar level here if you want that. The lychee jello standard and glad they have it as I do like a jello versus the jelly. S E R V I C E Service was good. It was during a non peak time and only 3 other people were ahead of me. I got my drinks in a fairly timely manner. O V E R A L L It was fine. Not great not superb, but the fact they have lychee jello is a plus for me. I would have to adjust my green milk tea sugar level here if I ever get that again. I would probably see how the other drinks are and adjust my rating over time, but as long as you know what you're getting into, Happy Lemon's a good option for your boba tea needs.

    10-6-24. Lemon Slushy

Happy Lemon is located in a large shopping close to Osaka Marketplace. Nicely decorated like the other stores. A perfect day for their lemon slushy. It comes with lychee jelly. It was tart, refreshing, and cold! LOL.

    Waffle

The Waffle is BACK and Better Than Ever! Wow--words can hardly describe how THRILLED I am that The Waffle is finally back after over a year! The wait was absolutely worth it. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with that familiar, cozy vibe I missed so much, but it somehow felt even better this time. The waffles? PERFECTION. Crispy on the outside, soft and airy on the inside, with flavors that just make you melt. It's like they leveled up the recipe while we were all waiting! And the drinks? Hands down, the BEST in the Bay Area. Every sip was like a little celebration, perfectly complementing each bite of waffle. I could go on and on, but you need to taste it yourself. The Waffle is officially back, and it's bringing its A-game. Do yourself a favor and run, don't walk, to experience this masterpiece for yourself!

    Mango matcha

It's a classic bay area spot that has many different franchises around the world too! I really like their mango matcha drink because it's something I haven't had before and it's pretty good! Although, the drinks can vary and aren't consistent in terms of flavor. Sometimes the drink can be perfectly blended or they have added lots of mango bits. Overall, I would still get the mango matcha as it's a classic for me.

    Hair in drink

Do not go here I just got a drink and I was sipping it and a hair came through the straw into my mouth...disgusting and it's definitely not my hair...

This location should be called Pissy Lemon because this boy in the glasses is always pissed off. Super rude for no reason, constantly berates staff members, and treats customers like they are beneath him. Not only was he rude, he doesn't even do the bare minimum; he's constantly on the computer, the drinks he gave us were wrong, he didn't give us cup holders (we had to reach over the counter to grab it ourselves), and yells at staff members in front of customers. I understand that you make penny change at this part-time job but you don't have to treat everyone else like garbage just because your life is miserable. If you don't like your job, then quit and give it to someone else that wants to work there. Never going back to this location if this boy still works there.

Chocolate smoothie with regular salted cheese on the left
    Sydney J.

I went here on a Sunday evening when there was no line and ordered a chocolate smoothie with regular salted cheese; since I was trying to avoid caffeine that late in the day, I requested to have the regular salted cheese instead of tiramisu. It's quite sweet and a great choice for anyone who likes chocolate, milk/cream, and the salty tang of cheese and is trying to avoid caffeine. Service was quick and friendly.

I had a great experience here! My friend wasn't settling for "typical" boba on this evening and since it was a new place, the decision was easy. I've actually steered clear of these establishments because they honestly just confuse me. I'm not sure why they're called Happy Lemon but they're known for cheese in their drinks, it perturbed me so I never entered. But just one recommendation anddd I'm easily swayed! The salty cheese is definitely different, and I didn't love it initially, but I kept wanting more. It cast a spell on me. I got a black milk tea with boba & salted cheese on top, it did not disappoint.

Bubble waffle was very crispy and yummy just like how it's made in Hong Kong. It's kinda expensive so minus one star.

I was impressed that there were mini Oreo cookies placed into each egg puff rather than crushed Oreos sprinkled on top. The service was quick and the representatives were polite. The ambiance was cute - a lot of kawaii-type figures/items placed around the store, such as mini panda figures along the kiosk. But beware when you place an automated tip (e.g., 15%, 20%, etc.), it may charge you tip on top of the tax rather than the subtotal. Otherwise this was a great find!

Both drinks looked much better in the pictures than in person where they, frankly, looked like a hot mess. First drink was fine...not bad...not good.
