They were very nice and had many options, but there were a few issues with the experience and final product. First off, my nail tech had wiped off my design multiple times and had left many pieces crooked and not covered (I had one base coat with a french tip). When I went to dry, only the left hand dryer was working and the right hand dryer did not blow out air. Finally, after just 1 day, the french tips had almost completely eroded, and after 1 week, the nail polish is almost completely gone. I don't have a photo of the one day, but I have a photo of the one week. However, on the bright side, the staff was very nice and understanding and they were very helpful in deciding a design and taking me through the process. Overall, two stars because, in the end, the service was not as expected and the nails chipped almost immediately. read more

I normally have another salon I go to to get my nails done but I was in a rush. First they used the filer they use for acrylic to ge try gel off of nails which went right down to my nail and made them so soft and for some nails they left some gel on. Not even a week after a couple nails broke. My nails feel so flimsy. If you have nice healthy nails dont go there. The pedicure was pretty good but I don't recommend for gel. Too many shortcuts with taking off gel now have messed up my nails read more

The worst manicure I have ever had. I went in with long strong healthy nails and the manicurist just lopped them off seconds after I told him to "just" shape them. I could not believe it! Just got my eyebrows and upper lip waxed. The lady was entirely too rough. Got (cooled, thank the lord) wax in my right eye and in my mouth. She applied the wax directly on my upper lip. Then she used a rough paper towel to wipe the wax off with. But she didn't get most of the wax off-had to drive home and get it all of-like a huge portion of it. I've been going to this nail salon for a few years. Have to say the last four or five times I haven't been happy. I usually just get a pedicure but do the hot stone one with massage etc. These times I have had a male doing the pedicure. Have been coming here for about 3 yrs now - the most consistent nail techs I've ever had. They take their time & pay close attention to detail. My fav tech is Jack, love how my nails look when he does them! Owner is super friendly. I felt like I was disturbing their slow day. I went with my BFF for gel manis...the girl she had I had last time who was ok but the girl I had today was just awful..she ground the gel polish off my natural nail instead of shaking off to get done quicker. When I complained it was getting hot she said stay still. She soaked off the other 4 nails..during the foil wrap she decided to run my shoulders with a hot towel which is usually dome at end og manicure to relax muscles The polish was coming out the color as expected she krpt saying another coat. After 4 coats it was as dark as it would get. I washed my hands she gloved them with lotion gloves. Never did a hand massage took the gloves off after a couple of minutes and wiped with cold towel. There was a bubble in thr polish she picked it off and put another top coat. I was disgusted with her service at that point paid the 35.00 and left no tip she was mad and walked away. I asked her 3 different times if the polish was old and she didn't want to be bothered answering. This place was great. I came in for a manicure for a friend with some physical disabilities. She was unable to open her right hand on her own so we got a gel on her left and a regular (same color) on her right. The nail techs were great! Not so happy nails. I went to Happy Nails & Spa to get a basic manicure and pedicure for a wedding that I was in. At first, the woman that was doing my nails seemed very friendly and patient. She helped match the nail color to the color of my bridesmaid dress. As soon as a rush of people walked in, she completely stopped caring about me and just carelessly rushed. I noticed that every one else getting a pedicure received foam flip flops when their pedicure was done except for me. The woman placed my patent leather flip flops on after she just put a ton of lotion on my feet causing me to almost slip right out of my shoes and hurt myself. It was certainly a struggle to walk around the room. After my manicure was finished I asked her to repaint one finger because the nail polish moved and she gave me an absolute look of disgust then proceeded to hiss at me like a child! She was extremely rude. I noticed when my nails were drying that she got nail polish all around my nails and toenails onto my skin!! She also barely painted the sides of my nails. I was devastated, especially because my best friend's wedding was the next day! When I called the manager to complain, he insisted that the polish all over my toes was due to MY error when I previously painted them because I came in with older painted toes. This is my absolute favorite place to get a pedicure. Even the basic pedicure is spa quality and and you're treated with the works. Foot bath, exfoliation, oil, foot/leg rub, hot towels, oh and not to mention a huge variety of polish colors to pick from. The salon itself is beautiful inside and everything is SUPER clean. Like almost everything is wrapped in plastic and wiped down constantly. And they open a new package of tools for each client, which I love. I recently moved and relied on yelp to find the closest nail salon to my new abode and boy am I thrilled that Happy Nails was the first on my list. I had the best manicure I have ever had, and I can be a tough gal to please in this department. Without an appointment (on a Thursday night) I was greeted and told to sit on the bench. After a quick five minutes (at which time I noticed the CLEAN hardwood floors) I was seated in a plush leather chair and welcomed with a bottle of Poland spring. At first I thought, are they going to charge me for this, but no they didn't. While I was getting my gel manicure, I noticed how many people around me had gotten paraffin wax on their hands. The woman sitting next to me shared that Happy Nails was her go to spot for a manicure. Anyway, my girl Kelly hooked it up, and was incredibly meticulous (which I loved). Toward the end of my mani I washed my hands and Kelly dipped them into a paraffin wax. I thought id be charged extra for this, but not at Happy Nails. You see every manicure comes with a FREE Paraffin! Oh and the best part, is I received the best towel massage on my back AND my hands lasting a whole 4-5 minutes, and yes, that was free too. She tried to do my cuticles with the electric file and when I told her to use the manual cuticle clippers, she changed her attitude. My friend goes here on occasion so we did a girls Mani/pedi together. The pedi was probably the best I've had - massage feet and calves, exfoliating scrub and hot stones. Then, there's the manicure... I have long, natural, strong nails and am very proud of them. The guy here used the Dremel to get the polish all the way off, never soaked them or used acetone. He then used it again to "cut" my cuticles -meaning he cut INTO my skin which took over a week to heal. He didn't even know how to do a French manicure and had to ask someone else to do it. The language barrier just makes things more difficult. I typically go to a Cambodian salon where we chat the whole time and I'm out in 90 minutes flat. At Happy Nails, they barely understand what you're saying and we were there for over two and a half hours! My French was super thick and just doesn't look nice. I'd go again for a pedi but they will never touch my hands again. They do have A TON of colors to choose from and give a nice shoulder massage at the end. read more

This is a very pretty salon and my nails looked really great when finished. The staff was very polite to my sister and I as well... However, though I like the wax treatment. It left me with a second degree burn on my hand. They dip your hands in lovely smelling hot wax and then wrap your hands in plastic wrap and then a hot towel. It does work to make your hands very soft and smelling so good however, there was a spot where the combination of wax and hot towel or plastic was off and I got a burn on my hand that hurt for a good week. I liked the treatment but it burned while wrapped in the hot towel and I literally got a burn on the top of my hand. Besides the burn on my hand I was happy for a week before something bothered me. I got a pedicure as well and my toe nail was really itchy. It's indescribable how itchy and irritated it was. I went to clean under the nail thinking maybe something was irritating it, HALF MY NAIL JUST CAME OFF when I cleaned under it. Literally just popped off as if it would just flake off. So with half my toenail gone (on my big toe no less! So noticeable) it no longer itched but my pedicure looked ridiculous. I won't be back, it's not worth the risk for me even though it was "only" $30. Other salons charge just as much and result in less pain and disappointment. read more

I highly recommend this if you have the money and the time. FIrst, they like wrapped my feet in oils and plastic, and soaked them for a while, then did the whole nail trimming thing.. and the best part was the hot stone massage. woah. if you like foot/calf massages - DO THIS. it's really great. There is also plenty of people on staff so I didn't have any wait as a walk-in client. I am giving this place four stars for two reasons: price and speed. I went there a few weeks ago to get a pedicure and manicure before my vacation. It was the worst manicure I have ever gotten and I believe my four year old could have done a better job. I had gotten a gel manicure and when I had gotten home and really looked at my nails they looked awful. The women I had did an awful paint job and you could still see my nails on both sides because she did not paint my entire nail. They looked awful and I was embarrassed to have such bad nails. As someone who was once a licensed cosmetologist, I can with confidence give this place two manicured thumbs up. I brought my mentee here to get a set of acrylic nails for her birthday. I was very impressed that the first thing the gentleman did was take a look at her fingernails to ensure that her fingernails were in good enough shape to have the nails applied. I myself opted for a basic manicure, but what I got went way beyond that. My hands received a lovely paraffin (hot wax) treatment while my shoulder got a super awesome rub. They went so far as to bag up a hot towel and run it over my arms and back. What added to my relaxed state of being was that the salon was nice and quiet, no blaring music, no forced chit chat. Space was super clean. Nails were filed to the shape I requested. They were also pleasant when I asked what kind of products they were using on my hands and they didn't push when I asked them to please not trim my cuticles. My teenage mentee totally hugged me when we left and said she almost cried because she had had been having such a rough week and the trip totally let her feel relaxed for an hour. read more

I honestly have never had as bad of an experience as I had here. My friend and I came here Sunday on a recommendation from someone I trust. Honestly, a lot of the stuff I will say wouldn't have bothered me if I'd gotten a decent manicure but I didn't so it all compounds to be much worse. They didn't tell either of us where to go, just to sit down but there were many technicians open (we were the only two people there). They didn't speak to us much, which honestly is fine for the most part- but when after curing my nails my technician started re drilling the gel and roughing it up with a nail file, he never said anything to me. He went over and over many of my nails and when they were finished they were still so bumpy and uneven and horribly thick. My fingers were so sore and torn up I honestly couldn't let him keep trying to fix it. They "accidentally" charged my friend for my manicure while my technician was still trying to fix my nails and I hadn't seen how bad they were going to end up. I will say the complimentary parafin wax and back massage were really nice, but that's honestly all. Almost immediately they started peeling and lifting and chipping. Today, Wednesday, I have 3 that aren't even on anymore. I had to make an appointment at another salon tomorrow morning because I'm so embarrassed and he filed my nail beds down so much they are still in pain. My friends nails were very clear (she chose what looked to be an opaque pink glitter on the sample but came out looking like a top coat) and you can see through it to the super red spots where her nail bed was filed down so much.
