    Cap is clearly missing

First off, I normally deal with Garth as my service technician but he was out due to illness. So back in December he told me that a tune up on my car would be around $450 for the 1k mile milestone. Mind you i had called the dealership and tried to get a quote from the service department also I wanted to know how long it would take as I have a busy schedule with my daughter and work. I never got a call back. So I make the appointment for this past Friday my daughters 9th birthday mind you and I arrived on time for my 730 appointment. I was told it would be done that day and he would put a technician on. My car right away. I figured I would have the car back by 2 or 3pm at the latest I got a call after four when I was already heading to Knotts berry farm.so I told them I would pick up my car Saturday Thank God I have 2 vehicles. When I first got to the dealership I meet David who was very friendly and complimented the way my car was running and jokingly asked if I wanted to sell it. Mind you my car was running at peak condition before I arrived. I was then told after checking in that my battery was not properly charging some of the electrical parts and they would check my battery during the tune up. He told me my fluids were good ,I informed him that I had the transmission serviced and my coolant replaced two weeks ago. Later that morning I get a video of the technician telling me about the inspection of my car. He said he recommended that I change the air filter Mind you I replaced the air filter when I did the other services transmission/coolant exchange. Then he told me about a coolant leak from a hose and recommended i fill the coolant and clean the throttle body. I'll try to upload the video to show exactly what was said. I was given a estimate of over seven hundred dollars I was not told they raised the price since I last spoke with Garth in late December when I gifted him a Christmas gift. I had a coupon from Carson Chevrolet for 30% off any services and Dave said he gave me a discount and I paid $645.87 still a far cry of $450. I even googled what a tune up on my car would cost and it was not over $450. I didn't know that they changed the price until it was time to pay.when I confronted the service technician who was checking me out because David was on the showroom floor. I told him about the recommendations that I know my car didn't need he said that's normal protocol when doing a vehicle inspection. I understand that but to recommend things that i don't need is not cool and makes me think this dealership is all about the money and not really about retaining customers. I've been bringing my car there for over years and Garth made me feel like family. I paid my bill and left unbeknownst to me i would have a issue that I never expected to happen, while coming home from Los Angeles with my wife her mother and my daughter the car starts to over heat on the 405 freeway 7 minutes from home. I pulled over and had to let the car cool off. I was able to get off the freeway safely and nurse it to a gas station on cherry avenue. I popped the hood and discovered my radiator cap was not on the reservoir. I know it was on there before I dropped it off so I looked at the video and saw that the cap was removed during the vehicle inspection but was not replaced after he checked my fluids. On top of that a foam pad was also left under the hood, this could have caught fire. This was very dangerous for me to be out at 430am with my family trying to get home and a technicians carelessness results in me having to pullover multiple times to nurse my car home.. and I pray that no engine damage was done by the over heating. I'll be going to auto zone to buy a replacement cap because my car is not safe to drive without the cap.the anger I feel is almost as bad as the stress of my family being on the 405 in the dark. I miss Garth and know that this would not have happened if he had been working. I do hope he has a speedy recovery and returns to work he truly made it a pleasure to go to Harbor Chevrolet. I also had my battery checked by AAA and it's working properly so was i getting a recommendation by David to buy a battery? His own technician checked it off as being ok I'm curious as to the device he used to check my car in is working properly I can only hope that's the case and I was not getting hustled to replace my battery. I hope things go better if I decide to keep going to this dealership or I might have to make a change.

I visited Harbor Chevy today because they had the exact car (color/trim) I wanted to buy my wife. I linked up with Aric (yes with an "A") and he was right on track with getting me in and out in about 2 hours. Andrew handled the finance end of it and all in all my experience was the best I've had at a dealership. Everyone has choices but if you're on the hunt for a Chevy, I'd recommend giving Aric a shot. Thank you guys for taking care of me!

We went to buy a truck recently and our experience was nothing but excellent and amazing especially while it was raining.. we were taken care of by Cornelius and he gave us the best customer service ever!! Not only was he helping us navigate the truck in the rain but he was clear and consise with the financing and available deals.. he made it very easy to buy our son his first truck and we can't thank him enough for his time and expertise. My son had a good monthly payment and I appreciate all the time given to my family to make this purchase. Everyone needs to come here for their next car or truck!

Came here recently to purchase my daughter's first car. The service we got was excellent. The price was fair, and great negotiation. Total time for purchasing the car was a bit long, but I expected it. I really liked the fact that they took the time to show me a ton of cars and explained everything we needed to know. As well as we got some extra thrown in. Extra warranty what?! The finance guy was great. Although, I know I got to him a bit as ya know, (dad questions) and me reading through everything. lol If you need a simple car look to these guys and see what they have for you.

I wanted to give Harbor Chevrolet in Long Beach another chance. I had been there back in August for service (where they actually put a huge dent in my vehicle and never made it right), but the people I met then were friendly enough that I thought maybe sales would be different. I was wrong. Completely wrong. Today was a totally different story. New people, new clientele, and an entirely unfavorable, dishonest experience. Jaycob (who introduced himself as the sales manager) and Manny used every shady, high-pressure tactic in the book. They told me another buyer was literally there ready to take the vehicle and that I had to decide right then or lose it forever. Classic fake urgency. When I finally asked for straightforward numbers, Jaycob became condescending, dismissive, and outright rude. They refused to negotiate at all -- even though my wife and I have credit scores from 738 to 800 and almost $15,000 ready for a down payment. Instead of working with qualified buyers, they just want to scalp you with outrageous pricing and crush you into whatever they feel like charging. Worst part: after I walked away, they claimed they had already "run my credit." That is a flat-out lie. They never had my permission, never asked for my full Social Security number, and I never signed anything authorizing a hard inquiry. Straight-up dishonesty from Jaycob and the team. The managers I spoke to afterward had no idea what actually happened -- they weren't even sure who I had dealt with. Zero accountability. It's clear the culture there has completely changed for the worse. Friendly staff from a few months ago? Gone. Replaced with pushy, condescending liars who will say anything to pressure you and then make up stories afterward. Whatever goodwill this dealership had is gone. Between the service department damaging my last vehicle, and now Jaycob and his team lying to my face, using fake scarcity tactics, refusing to negotiate with strong-credit buyers, and falsely claiming they pulled credit -- this place is toxic. Stay far away. Shop literally anywhere else. I regret ever walking back in.

I recently had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at this location, and I feel it's important for others to be aware of the pattern of behavior I encountered. From the start, several members of the sales and management team--particularly the older gentleman who appeared to be leading the others--demonstrated dishonesty and a complete lack of professionalism. I was given three different stories after negotiating a deal over the phone with another manager. Despite clearly explaining the agreement I had already made, the older salesman insisted the deal "wasn't possible" and quoted a monthly payment comparable to the cost of a small apartment. After pushing back and once again referencing the prior conversation with management, he eventually returned, shook my hand, apologized for the miscommunication, and told me the car was being washed and prepared for pickup. Then he simply disappeared. I waited two hours with no update, only to be told--without explanation--that the deal was suddenly off the table. This level of inconsistency and lack of communication is unacceptable for any professional business, especially one handling large financial transactions. I had decided to walk away from this dealership altogether, but two days later I received a call from the same manager asking what happened and assuring me that I would receive the original deal if I returned. The only reason I gave the dealership another chance was because the female manager--the only one who demonstrated honesty, respect, and genuine effort throughout this ordeal--took ownership of the situation. Thanks to her, I finally received the deal I had been promised from the beginning. Based on my experience, I strongly caution others: the male sales and management staff at this location repeatedly gave misleading information, failed to communicate, and appeared more interested in an easy sale than in treating customers with integrity. My trust was violated multiple times, and the entire experience was far more stressful and upsetting than it should ever be when purchasing a vehicle. While I am ultimately satisfied with the vehicle I purchased, that satisfaction is due entirely to the one manager who acted with professionalism. I cannot say the same for the rest of the team.

1 Star for Service / 5 Stars for Sales (Jaycob Gomez) With all the DCT problems with the C8 see picture below and my breakdown I purchased my C8 Corvette on March 8th and had an amazing buying experience thanks to Jaycob Gomez -- he deserves 5 stars. Super professional, helpful, and made everything smooth. But the service department? Complete disappointment. I had an appointment scheduled for Monday, and I wouldn't have bothered going if there wasn't a real problem. Instead of actually listening and helping, they talked to me like I was clueless -- super dismissive. The technician's explanation and the service advisor Viktor was the worst part. I highly doubt the test was conducted on Heavy traffic stop and go It felt like they were just making excuses and not taking my concern seriously at all. I left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and completely let down. Buying experience: excellent. Service experience: awful. Definitely not what you expect after spending this much money on a car. there are a few concerning issues with the tech's response 1. The tech is suggesting driving technique is causing the issue by claiming you're "dragging the brake" in traffic. This is a common deflection tactic when they can't diagnose a problem. 2. The statement "vehicle not equipped with automatic transmission has dual clutch transmission" is misleading. The DCT is technically an automatic transmission (you don't manually shift with a clutch pedal), just a specific type. 3. The "could not duplicate concern" after only 18 miles of testing is inadequate, especially since DCT issues often appear intermittently or in specific conditions (like the stop-and-go traffic you mentioned) again HEAVY TRAFFIC not hauling ass at the back roads and light traffic 4. im casuing excessive heat to the dual clutch. What this means: The dealership is essentially blaming my driving technique rather than acknowledging a potential mechanical issue. how should you drive in a HEAVY TRAFFIC SITUATION STOP AND GO ? should i just step on the brakes wait like 5 car length to go ? You guys ever driven or live in LA ? sounds really dumb The "must fully release brake pedal from a stop" advice is reasonable for DCT operation, but significant shuddering is NOT normal behavior for a properly functioning C8 transmission, regardless of driving technique

Matt, the service manager gave me a call and handled the situation I had with the service advisor. He was very kind, caring, compassionate, very helpful and took care of the issue that I had and I will come back there again.

Receipt left in car. They used our car to go grab companies lunch. So unprofessional.

My friend and I recently had the most terrible experience here, as Chevy Volt owners, beware! The person who we are addressing this to is Garth Passantino and if you look at other reviews too you will see his name brought up a lot. I went in to repair a warranty issue for my 2017 Chevrolet Volt, and while they did perform the necessary work under warranty, they insisted on charging a diagnostic fee. The reason given was that a code had popped up due to low coolant. However, when I went to pick up the car, I discovered that no such code had actually appeared, and they couldn't even provide proof of the coolant code they claimed was the issue. When I questioned why I was being charged the diagnostic fee if the code wasn't even there, the service rep got visibly upset and unprofessional. He said "we already discussed this", but his explanation didn't hold up since he couldn't show me any proof of the supposed code. Instead of addressing my concerns, he said "I don't want to talk about it anymore. I'm mad that you're not going to pay." This response was shockingly unprofessional and further solidified my frustration with their service. When my dad questioned why he couldn't just top off the coolant himself, the rep said that it could not be done. He claimed the coolant was different, which was not true according to the car manual. When we pointed this out, he just kept saying we were wrong and refused to provide the correct information. He even said "I hope that the liquid is wrong so that the light comes back on and you have to come back". So unbelievable that a grown man was throwing a tantrum over me not wanting to pay for work that is completely covered under the Volts PZEV warranty. To make matters worse, when I got into my car, I found a receipt for In-N-Out that wasn't mine. The receipt was dated on the same day I dropped off my car, 4 hours after my appointment time, and it showed an order for about eight meals. This means they used my car to grab their lunch during my appointment, which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. The lack of transparency, poor communication, misuse of my vehicle, and overall unprofessional conduct made this an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. I expected much better service and accountability from a dealership. I would not recommend this location.

I haven't purchased a new vehicle in about six years, so I had quite a few concerns going into the process, but she made everything feel seamless and stress-free. We bought this car June 27th 2025 2 months after that the power steering went bad. We called this dealership we purchased the car from and they had us take it to our local Range Rover. The cost for the repair was ridiculous. Over 5,000 we had messaged them again stating we weren't going to pay for that because we believed they had sold us a defective car in the first place. No way this should be happening 2 months into us having a new car . Fast forward we ended up getting it fixed with a (credit) they gave us of 1,500 and took it to another mechanic shop that was more affordable. It got fixed. However we started having multiple other problems with the vehicle. Started with a transmission leak, ended up with a transmission problem. And now our car will NOT start and it's just been sitting there for about 2-3 months. Unable to fix it since it is considered a transmission problem. We believe they sold us a broken car in the first place, this car didn't even last us a full year. Yes we still have it but it's not running nor starting. It's a bit sad we're still making the payments for a car we aren't able to drive. I should have paid attention to the fact that there were several people in the waiting room waiting on their cars to be serviced. And when I asked about the lower rating the dealership has online, they said it was due to the Service Department. Well, I live out of town and will be getting my car serviced in Bakersfield, so the service department does not matter to me. NOTE: It took them well over a month and many follow up calls to get me the second key to our Certified BMW, which I learned later was supposed to be given at the time of sale when it is a CPO (Certified Pre Owned) sale. Now that I have had the car a couple of years, things change and I traded it in for a brand-new car. In doing so, I have this Unlimited Miles Warranty that has 2.5 years remaining on it. I called BMW to see about having the remaining amount prorated back to me in a credit. They said that I needed to speak with Long Beach BMW where I Purchased the car, Finance Department to receive this credit. I have called this dealership 15-20 times now. NEVER a return call. How Rude right? So when it comes to making the sale, they are all about you and making that money. But when it comes to service, they have obvious issues and especially when seeking to speak to them after the sale, they have no interest in speaking with you since that would involve refunding you a balance they you deserve. They are just there to make money. Don't let them fool you into thinking that they are a Service Oriented Provider. BMW makes a Nice Car. There are Plenty of Dealerships that will sell you one. You may want to look for options at dealerships other than Long Beach BMW.

Shopping for a new vehicle is always stressful, especially when you're switching brands after 14 years of loyalty. My family and I visited four different dealerships while searching for the right vehicle, but after visiting Glenn E. Thomas Dodge Chrysler Jeep, we knew a Jeep was exactly what we were looking for. What truly made the difference was the outstanding service we received. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us with professionalism, respect, and genuine care. Their knowledge and willingness to answer every question made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. A very special thank you to Isaac Barrajas and his manager Greg Yudt for his incredible patience and dedication throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond to make everything easy, never pressured us, and made us feel like valued customers every step of the way. That level of customer service is rare these days, and it did not go unnoticed. Thank you to everyone at Glenn E. Thomas Dodge Chrysler Jeep for making what could have been a stressful experience into such a positive one. I couldn't be happier with our new Jeep and will gladly recommend this dealership to my family and friends.

She gave a description of what she was looking for and immediately placed on hold. Someone else came on the line asking if she was helped. She said "I think so someone just took my information " and the person responded "that's not what I asked you". Wtf?? Once he did start helping her, he spoke extremely rudely, implying she didn't know what she was talking about. THEN , I called in myself and had no problem getting the part. I went in and the old guy had the audacity to bring up my girl to me. Who in TF does he think he is ????? How does he have a job ??? Old ignorant rude miserable man. Shame on you for employing this trash. I added a pic of his signature. We will be contacting you again to make sure he was fired or something.

I reached out to the…read moredealership about a car they didn't have on the lot, but Russell give me very specific details about the ordering process in case I wanted to order one to my spec. Furthermore, he invited me and my wife to come down and test drive a similar model before placing the order to confirm the trim and options we want. The entire time, there was ZERO, absolutely ZERO, pressure from him just to make a sale. He spend time answering all my questions, gave very detailed explanations, and even contacted corporate for me and looked into an issue related to my purchase. Contacted him on a Thursday about a car, went to test drive Friday, placed an order that day, and came home with the car exactly a week later. Of all the car buying experience and programs I have participated in, Russell is BY FAR, the most polite, honest, and sincere sales person my wife and I have ever interacted with. Seriously, ask for this man if you are thinking about buying. You are not going to regret it. It is an honorable mention that his son, Rusty, also works at the dealership and he helped me order the Crosstrek I bought my parents back in 2022. Another top notch sales person. This dealership is very fortunate to have this father/son team.
