I visited Harbor Chevy today because they had the exact car (color/trim) I wanted to buy my wife. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I linked up with Aric (yes with an "A") and he was right on track with getting me in and out in about 2 hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Andrew handled the finance end of it and all in all my experience was the best I've had at a dealership. Everyone has choices but if you're on the hunt for a Chevy, I'd recommend giving Aric a shot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thank you guys for taking care of me![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We went to buy a truck recently and our experience was nothing but excellent and amazing especially while it was raining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]we were taken care of by Cornelius and he gave us the best customer service ever!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not only was he helping us navigate the truck in the rain but he was clear and consise with the financing and available deals.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]he made it very easy to buy our son his first truck and we can't thank him enough for his time and expertise.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My son had a good monthly payment and I appreciate all the time given to my family to make this purchase. Everyone needs to come here for their next car or truck!

Came here recently to purchase my daughter's first car. The service we got was excellent. The price was fair, and great negotiation. Total time for purchasing the car was a bit long, but I expected it. I really liked the fact that they took the time to show me a ton of cars and explained everything we needed to know. As well as we got some extra thrown in. Extra warranty what?! The finance guy was great. Although, I know I got to him a bit as ya know, (dad questions) and me reading through everything. lol If you need a simple car look to these guys and see what they have for you.

I wanted to give Harbor Chevrolet in Long Beach another chance. I had been there back in August for service (where they actually put a huge dent in my vehicle and never made it right), but the people I met then were friendly enough that I thought maybe sales would be different. I was wrong. Completely wrong. Today was a totally different story. New people, new clientele, and an entirely unfavorable, dishonest experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jaycob (who introduced himself as the sales manager) and Manny used every shady, high-pressure tactic in the book. They told me another buyer was literally there ready to take the vehicle and that I had to decide right then or lose it forever. Classic fake urgency.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I finally asked for straightforward numbers, Jaycob became condescending, dismissive, and outright rude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They refused to negotiate at all -- even though my wife and I have credit scores from 738 to 800 and almost $15,000 ready for a down payment. Instead of working with qualified buyers, they just want to scalp you with outrageous pricing and crush you into whatever they feel like charging. Worst part: after I walked away, they claimed they had already "run my credit." That is a flat-out lie. They never had my permission, never asked for my full Social Security number, and I never signed anything authorizing a hard inquiry. Straight-up dishonesty from Jaycob and the team. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The managers I spoke to afterward had no idea what actually happened -- they weren't even sure who I had dealt with. Zero accountability.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's clear the culture there has completely changed for the worse. Friendly staff from a few months ago? Gone. Replaced with pushy, condescending liars who will say anything to pressure you and then make up stories afterward.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Whatever goodwill this dealership had is gone. Between the service department damaging my last vehicle, and now Jaycob and his team lying to my face, using fake scarcity tactics, refusing to negotiate with strong-credit buyers, and falsely claiming they pulled credit -- this place is toxic. Stay far away. Shop literally anywhere else. I regret ever walking back in.

I recently had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at this location, and I feel it's important for others to be aware of the pattern of behavior I encountered. From the start, several members of the sales and management team--particularly the older gentleman who appeared to be leading the others--demonstrated dishonesty and a complete lack of professionalism. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was given three different stories after negotiating a deal over the phone with another manager.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Despite clearly explaining the agreement I had already made, the older salesman insisted the deal "wasn't possible" and quoted a monthly payment comparable to the cost of a small apartment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After pushing back and once again referencing the prior conversation with management, he eventually returned, shook my hand, apologized for the miscommunication, and told me the car was being washed and prepared for pickup.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then he simply disappeared. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I waited two hours with no update, only to be told--without explanation--that the deal was suddenly off the table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This level of inconsistency and lack of communication is unacceptable for any professional business, especially one handling large financial transactions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had decided to walk away from this dealership altogether, but two days later I received a call from the same manager asking what happened and assuring me that I would receive the original deal if I returned. The only reason I gave the dealership another chance was because the female manager--the only one who demonstrated honesty, respect, and genuine effort throughout this ordeal--took ownership of the situation. Thanks to her, I finally received the deal I had been promised from the beginning. Based on my experience, I strongly caution others: the male sales and management staff at this location repeatedly gave misleading information, failed to communicate, and appeared more interested in an easy sale than in treating customers with integrity. My trust was violated multiple times, and the entire experience was far more stressful and upsetting than it should ever be when purchasing a vehicle. While I am ultimately satisfied with the vehicle I purchased, that satisfaction is due entirely to the one manager who acted with professionalism. I cannot say the same for the rest of the team.

1 Star for Service / 5 Stars for Sales (Jaycob Gomez) With all the DCT problems with the C8 see picture below and my breakdown I purchased my C8 Corvette on March 8th and had an amazing buying experience thanks to Jaycob Gomez -- he deserves 5 stars. Super professional, helpful, and made everything smooth. But the service department? Complete disappointment. I had an appointment scheduled for Monday, and I wouldn't have bothered going if there wasn't a real problem. Instead of actually listening and helping, they talked to me like I was clueless -- super dismissive. The technician's explanation and the service advisor Viktor was the worst part. I highly doubt the test was conducted on Heavy traffic stop and go It felt like they were just making excuses and not taking my concern seriously at all. I left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and completely let down. Buying experience: excellent. Service experience: awful. Definitely not what you expect after spending this much money on a car. there are a few concerning issues with the tech's response 1. The tech is suggesting driving technique is causing the issue by claiming you're "dragging the brake" in traffic. This is a common deflection tactic when they can't diagnose a problem. 2. The statement "vehicle not equipped with automatic transmission has dual clutch transmission" is misleading. The DCT is technically an automatic transmission (you don't manually shift with a clutch pedal), just a specific type. 3. The "could not duplicate concern" after only 18 miles of testing is inadequate, especially since DCT issues often appear intermittently or in specific conditions (like the stop-and-go traffic you mentioned) again HEAVY TRAFFIC not hauling ass at the back roads and light traffic 4. im casuing excessive heat to the dual clutch. What this means: The dealership is essentially blaming my driving technique rather than acknowledging a potential mechanical issue. how should you drive in a HEAVY TRAFFIC SITUATION STOP AND GO ? should i just step on the brakes wait like 5 car length to go ? You guys ever driven or live in LA ? sounds really dumb The "must fully release brake pedal from a stop" advice is reasonable for DCT operation, but significant shuddering is NOT normal behavior for a properly functioning C8 transmission, regardless of driving technique

Because this is the person you don't want to deal with

Matt, the service manager gave me a call and handled the situation I had with the service advisor. He was very kind, caring, compassionate, very helpful and took care of the issue that I had and I will come back there again.

Receipt left in car. They used our car to go grab companies lunch. So unprofessional.

My friend and I recently had the most terrible experience here, as Chevy Volt owners, beware! The person who we are addressing this to is Garth Passantino and if you look at other reviews too you will see his name brought up a lot. I went in to repair a warranty issue for my 2017 Chevrolet Volt, and while they did perform the necessary work under warranty, they insisted on charging a diagnostic fee. The reason given was that a code had popped up due to low coolant. However, when I went to pick up the car, I discovered that no such code had actually appeared, and they couldn't even provide proof of the coolant code they claimed was the issue. When I questioned why I was being charged the diagnostic fee if the code wasn't even there, the service rep got visibly upset and unprofessional. He said "we already discussed this", but his explanation didn't hold up since he couldn't show me any proof of the supposed code. Instead of addressing my concerns, he said "I don't want to talk about it anymore. I'm mad that you're not going to pay." This response was shockingly unprofessional and further solidified my frustration with their service. When my dad questioned why he couldn't just top off the coolant himself, the rep said that it could not be done. He claimed the coolant was different, which was not true according to the car manual. When we pointed this out, he just kept saying we were wrong and refused to provide the correct information. He even said "I hope that the liquid is wrong so that the light comes back on and you have to come back". So unbelievable that a grown man was throwing a tantrum over me not wanting to pay for work that is completely covered under the Volts PZEV warranty. To make matters worse, when I got into my car, I found a receipt for In-N-Out that wasn't mine. The receipt was dated on the same day I dropped off my car, 4 hours after my appointment time, and it showed an order for about eight meals. This means they used my car to grab their lunch during my appointment, which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. The lack of transparency, poor communication, misuse of my vehicle, and overall unprofessional conduct made this an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. I expected much better service and accountability from a dealership. I would not recommend this location.

This is a picture of the driver's side strut that broke.

Used Yelp's business finder to get a few quotes for my two non-working low beam headlights, and…read morethis shop stood out right away. They responded quickly, were courteous, and didn't try to tack on a diagnostic fee just to take a look. When I dropped off the car, the technician walked me through their process, starting with the bulbs before moving into any potential electrical issues (which I really appreciated.) It ended up being the simplest fix: both bulbs were burned out. They had everything replaced within a few hours. Fair pricing, clear communication, and no upselling. I'll definitely be back for future repairs. Side note- they have the cutest shop kitten. ‍

They said they could and gave me a timeline for working on the vehicle that matched my needs. While I appreciate them getting me in on short notice, they consistently over-promised and under-delivered on when they would be able to work on my vehicle. They were able to diagnose a couple of leaks that they thought were the problem and sent me photos to show me what they were looking at. In the past when I've left my car at this shop for work they sent over a detailed estimate before starting the work, but this time I only received the verbal estimate over the phone. I drive an old car, which isn't worth much, and I did let the person know that I wasn't interested in investing more in repairs than the vehicle is worth. As it was, the two leaks were just over $1K to fix, and I OK'd the work to begin. After fixing the first two leaks, they then came back and told me there was a third leak, which would require a more major repair to the transmission and they would have to have their transmission person (who wasn't there that weekend) send me an estimate the next day. While I understand that it's plausible that the third leak wasn't something they could have originally diagnosed, it felt a bit weird that the photo they used to show me the leak was one of the original photos they had sent before starting any work. If the leak was visible in that photo, I'm unclear why they couldn't have diagnosed it earlier. The added cost of this additional repair definitely tips the scales of worth-it/not-worth-it to repair vs replace this car, so I wish I had had all the information before deciding to make the initial repairs. Unfortunately, despite stabilizing the ATF level, fixing the leaks did not resolve the transmission issue. On a smaller scale, they didn't check or top up the tire pressure, which most mechanics I've gone to have done as a courtesy when working on my vehicle. The day after I picked up my car the tire pressure light went on, and when I checked my tires all four of them had low pressure. It's a small thing, but especially when dealing with expensive mechanical items like cars, the small things matter a lot in creating a sense of security and trust with your mechanic. They did mention that they were under new management since the last time I had been in, which may account for the different experiences.

Instead, they hit me with a huge bill and gave me the laziest "diagnosis" I've ever seen. They didn't check anything properly, didn't give me photos, didn't give me compression numbers, didn't do a real bore scope, nothing. They just jumped straight to "replace everything" like that was the only option instead of actually finding the root of the problem. I was even told I was missing a valve??? When I had it inspected by a much more capable shop, I clearly saw all my valves in my motor. They also wanted to replace both cams, yet when only ONE was replaced by their neighbor, my car runs perfectly fine. They really tried to upsell me into a full rebuild without proving anything was wrong. Then I took the same car to Euro Car Clinic, and the difference was insane. Euro Clinic actually tore the engine down, checked timing, checked compression, did a real bore scope, found the stretched chain, found the fuel pump leaking into the oil, replaced the right parts, and showed me every step with photos and updates. And the crazy part? I paid HALF of what this shop tried to charge me, and Euro Clinic actually fixed the car. Not to mention the difference in the invoices I'm honestly embarrassed to even show the comparison. This shop's invoice had zero photos, tons of misspelling, and looked completely unprofessional. Even when I called for weeks asking for photos, all I ever got was "oh it's on my phone, I'll send it right now," and I never received anything. This place wasted my time, my money, and my trust. After seeing what real professionalism looks like, I would never recommend them to anyone.
