I never thought I'd be writing a review , or a positive one, for a car sales experience . But we had the best car buying /leasing experience here the other week , that we've been telling everyone about it. I hate buying cars, feeling like vultures ( the salesmen) swarm on you when you enter the car lot , do tricky things to keep you there for hours , then having to do the whole haggling thing while they try to upsell you on all these things . For me, it's just always a bad experience . We went here on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago , checked out some Toyota sequoia's , no one swarmed on us, we found a very helpful salesman Anthony that didn't pressure anything , helped us find what we were looking for and did a test drive with us -with my whole family of 5 in the car . We got a great trade in rate for our car ,from the manager Donnie , who was so pleasant , no tricks , very transparent , looked at our car in a timely manner because I needed to get going . My husband closed the deal that night with Donnie , financing with Macy who was so helpful, and then the cherry on top is that Anthony came to our home to finish the paperwork and bring the car . Concierge service !!!!! We didn't have to stay at the lot for hours ! This blew our mind. To top off this amazing experience , Anthony called us a few days later just to see how we were liking the car and if everything was going well so far. Hands down , BEST car buying experience of our lives ! And we've bought a lot of cars over the years . This will be the place we go to for any future needs . Highly recommend this place! The initial signing process and test drive went smoothly. Perry and his manager were extremely friendly and helpful at first. However, after we signed for our used 2015 Audi Q3, things quickly went downhill--and now we're stuck dealing with a very problematic vehicle. From what I understand, it's the dealership's responsibility to keep a vehicle's registration current. Despite this, we ended up having to pay over two years' worth of late registration fees on top of our own registration costs because the dealership failed to keep it up to date. After signing, we were informed that the vehicle had been in a "moderate" accident that required the rear bumper to be replaced--something that should have been disclosed upfront. We were also told that Audi of Long Beach had repaired a malfunctioning backup camera. However, when I contacted Audi of Long Beach directly, they stated that West Coast Toyota declined to authorize a full safety inspection, despite us being told otherwise before signing. Audi only performed a visual inspection at no cost to the dealership. They even offered to provide service records, which confirmed they did not repair the backup camera--instead, they only fixed a latch. Within the first year of owning the vehicle, we ended up paying approximately $3,000 in repairs--many of which could have been identified if a proper safety inspection had been completed. To make matters worse, we never received follow-up calls from the service department or the GM, despite multiple attempts to reach them. Would I return to purchase another non-certified vehicle from this dealership? Absolutely not. If you're considering buying a used car from this location, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion and having the vehicle independently inspected before signing anything. read more

Bad vibes from this dealership. I went to try and buy a car here and while the salesman was nice, his manager came over and acted weird and demeaning to him. So I decided to buy my Prius elsewhere. When I brought it here for a recall, the rental car they gave me only had 3/4 a gas tank. After I returned the rental, it took me a week of constantly calling to get the license plate # so I could pay my toll fees. My numerous calls and messages to the service center went unanswered (thank you to Nelson at the rental desk who finally helped me out). Now it's too late to pay my toll timely. I bought a new car last week which included a catalytic converter cage that needed to be shipped to the dealer and for which I need to come back for installation. I was frustrated that the call had not come through to me to bring the car in, so I turned up at the dealership. Aldo helped coordinate with the parts department to find my new cage, and coordinated with the service managers to accelerate its installation so I could drive the car home less than 90 minutes after I turned up at the dealership. TLDR: employee stole money from my car I've been taking my cars here for a couple years now. I purchase the AdvantageCARE package for each of my 2 Prius C cars because it is a good deal for full synthetic oil changes. The staff is friendly. This is my 3rd purchase of the package. It's been a good experience here until today. Spoke with the manager about appraising my car and I knew I wouldn't get much because of the age and mileage. I purchase my cars used and keep them until they have over 300,000 miles on them. When the manager came over, he reeked of cigarette smoke and left a cloud of stench within 10 feet of wherever he walked. No big deal, but not professional. I didn't even care what they wanted to offer for my car, I just wanted fresh air and could not get away fast enough. But that doesn't warrant a one star review. What could? Whoever worked on my car today stole from the change I left in my change tray. I don't keep much in there but come on! I counted up what I had before dropping off the car and remembered thinking about Homer Simpson stating he counted the pennies in the ash tray. Their employees had no business going anywhere near my coins and stealing money from me. They weren't vacuuming my car, so there's no way it accidentally got sucked up. I go there for oil changes. Now I don't want to go back. If I can't trust them around loose change, why should I trust them with my vehicle? It says a lot about the poor character of their employees that are willing to steal when they think no one is looking. read more

Almost 4 hours for a basic oil change is honestly unacceptable. There was barely any communication or updates during the entire wait, and I was left sitting there wondering what was going on with my vehicle. This was one of the slowest and worst dealership service experiences I've had. "Advantage Care" is definitely not worth it if this is the type of service customers receive. Time is money, and I would rather pay more somewhere else for faster service and better customer care. It genuinely feels like this dealership does not care about customer experience or building long-term clientele. Definitely will not be returning. read more

This review is in regards to maintenance oil change repair. I've been coming here for a while now and was always satisfied with their service and it was close to home. I would even get offered an Uber ride home. Well I made an appointment yesterday my spouse was going to drop off the car and get an Uber ride home. He got there and was told they have a new policy if you don't buy anything he won't get a ride to work. He dropped the car at 7:45AM. I called the front desk spoke with Jasper today to see if there was anything that could've been done. No one told me about this and I wish they did so there wouldn't have been any confusion. She was also surprised she wasn't aware of the new policy. She stated it showed he had a ride to work all along. She transferred me to someone who never picked up. Long story short I would've honestly appreciated if I was told this over the phone while making the appointment. Imagine dropping your car off at then being told we don't have a ride for you anymore. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back. The customer service was inconsistent and no one seemed aware. He was even told look at their website for the new policy. Salesman Axle was great, friendly and inviting, he priced out the car I wanted and asked how much down I'd want. I told him put $0 bc I might just pay it in cash. What you need to know is salesmen don't make deals anymore, they have to bring offers to the sales manager. In this case that manager was Aldo, who printed out an pricing summary for me. We go back and forth and agree on an OUT THE DOOR pricing. Now when I am ready to buy the car, here comes Aldo claiming the new price is 2K more, bc on the pricing summary it shows a 2K "cash down", so I would need to add that 2K to the final OTD price. These are the games these sales managers play, they make their total price look lower bc they added the arbitrary 2K cash down, which I didn't tell them to. When I told him he was playing games, Aldo starts to raise his voice and at one point said "I have a 5 star yelp review, I don't play games" (LOL as you can see no where near a 5). Then proceeds to point at his salesman, blaming him for putting the 2K on there and that it wasn't his fault. What a low life to be doing that to his subordinate in front of a customer. Needless to say I walked out of there after wasting a whole day. Bottom line West Coast Toyota's OUT THE DOOR price is actually $2K more. Very strange way to do business, stay away! read more

Very disappointing service experience on 4/17/26 with my 2017 Toyota Corolla. I clearly told the service advisor that I believe a few of the service recommendations were completed less than a year ago when I got new tires (Big O Tires, May 2025). I was assured nothing unnecessary would be done. Despite that, I was charged for all of those services again. When I showed my receipt: Management agreed the air and cabin filters didn't need replacing and offered a credit or comparable service (something). They refused to credit the spark plugs, claiming they "looked original," even though the plugs they showed me were allegedly pulled from the trash and there was no way to verify they were from my car. I even called Toyota Corporate Customer Experience while still at the dealership. After a long hold, I was told the same thing: "Take it up with Big O Tires." No review, no accountability. This isn't just about cost, it's about trust. Duplicate work was performed, documentation was dismissed, and no one took real responsibility. I bought my Toyota here, but after this experience, I seriously question the service practices at West Coast Toyota. Hector, the service technician, was very nice and provided excellent customer service. If I could give Hector 4 stars I would, but those service technicians and management have questionable practices. read more

Ok so at first I was like what the heck is going on with JAMIE at the front desk customer service? His energy was off balance the day I came in to get an oil change. So I complained to HR and the boss and they talked to me for about 20 mins and apologized and wanted to accommodate me that day but it was a process to transfer my oil change to this location. Anyways, they were supposed to follow up with me and didn't so I waited 4-5 days to come back to get my oil change. Today I came and I got it done, 2.5 hours mid day but I didn't get a free Uber to Honda to go check on something and Honda did bring me back and Toyota did have free drinks and lots of space to get on my laptop while waiting. Setting is decent. Have a relatively new Toyota Highlander. The USB port never really worked. Finally remembered to mention it when I brought it here. They ordered the part. I came back a week later (after struggling to get an appointment because of the crazy AI phone loop issue). Checked in, then an hour an a half later they ask me if I can stay until 230pm because they ordered the wrong part. They offered to uber me home, but I didn't trust them. I offered to just take my car and drive back when they had the part later in the day. around 330pm I texted because I hadn't heard anything. The part still hadn't arrived at 345pm. Thankfully I wasn't still sitting there!!!! They said I could come back, but it was 350pm when I got a call to come back. It is about 30-40 minute drive to get there. Another 30-40 to get back when NO traffic. they were putting me into full traffic which meant it would take about 2-3x that time. I was then told the part would be returned if I didn't get back there in 30 days. But I was there today and they messed up. They ordered the wrong part. We are now heading into Thanksgiving and the holidays and somehow I am supposed to allocate another half day for this repair...? It does absolutely feel like I am being punished for their error.
