Just attempted to have dinner here. I ordered the Brazilian lobster tail. The lobster was horribly over cooked. And smothered in a sauce that was spicey and full of rosemary. I asked if there was rosemary in it, and they said 'no' seriously, they clearly don't know what's going on in that kitchen. This is a seafood restaurant, and they killed the lobster. The server (bartender Alexandra) said we were charged for everything since we ate it even though we didn't order it (meanwhile what we actually ordered- a vegan was at our table- was never brought to us). We thought what was brought to our table it was what we ordered. PLEASE make sure what is brought to your table is what you order. We had a 3:30 reservation on Mother's Day. It was a bit of an off time so wasn't very crowded which was good. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. We ordered a dozen oysters and an order of baked clams for appetizers. Oysters were good but could have been shucked a little better. Clams had a nice little kick to them. It took a while for our entrées to come. There was a mistake with the pasta dish but they were quick to correct it. Overall everyone was happy with their meals. the menu had a large selection and great choices. was very excited to try this new place. upon ordering with a group of three, numerous hairs were found within our food. at first i didn't want to pay it any mind, we are all human , and as gross as it is it happens. but, when i found more than 3 in my dish alone (and in different attributes of my dish) and then people i was dining with also found hairs in theirs i was severely disgusted. i did not want to say anything because despite us going at lunch time the atmosphere we were sat in was more of a bar setting. which is totally okay we made the reservation, but also had a child with us so wish the current state was spoken to us more seeing as the place was not even half capacitated. on top of the numerous hairs in varying lengths in my food , i ordered a burger that was supposed to be medium rare, it was overdone. and seemed like the staff cared more about socializing with drunk patrons than being attentive to the one thing extra we asked for them to grab once receiving our food (a singular ranch ). really had high hopes from this place but the only good thing i experienced was the drink i ordered. will not be coming back and also sharing my poor experience amongst others as the seafood season is coming up. read more

This was my 1st visit to this restaurant it was quite unique there is the main restaurant in NA side restaurant on a boat so the restaurant is located right on a dock. Nice view. When There Monday of Labor Day weekend they had an afternoon band. Had miscellaneous appetizers and a lobster dinner the LI clam bake. Food was fabulous highly recommend they even had a nice wine list by the glass and by the bottle at an inexpensive price. read more

Working in senior living, my residents love going to the Harbor Crab for lunch trips! Although the bathrooms can be challenging for the residents to maneuver due to their size, staff and management are always willing to go the extra mile and help when needed. Management has also let knows know that they are currently working on re-modeling their restrooms to make them more accessible to all! The bar scene is fun for drinks although drinks could be made a little stronger as when you're paying a certain price you expect a certain amount of alcohol especially when you're Ubering! Husband and I went for a much needed date night! On A Saturday night. First time there. Although we didn't have a reservation we were seated fairly quickly outside on the boat. We loved everything about the place everyone was following social distancing and wearing masks. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Our server Manny was very personable and attentive. Made us feel good! He made a great effort to ensure we were happy! Busy place and all the staff were indeed working hard. From the bussing staff to the kitchen and bar! The food was very good of course I had the crab legs which was amazing! Drinks were on point and by the end of the night we were so pleased! Will be back with my family for sure! I went there for a late business lunch midafternoon on a Wednesday. The service was slow and unattentive, but I can live with that when I'm enjoying sunshine on a floating deck. Sitting outside is very nice there. I could see fish in the water in the marina directly behind the restaurant. However, I was disappointed in the quality of the seafood. I'm from out of state and a big fan of oysters. I chose to eat in Patchogue because I wanted to eat extra-fresh Blue Point oysters. The oysters WERE very fresh, but they were full of sand and the shells had not been properly scrubbed. We left three uneaten from the dozen because every single one we ate was gritty. I also had a fried soft shell crab sandwich. The crab was dry and the breading had a burnt flavor. I could taste a bit of flavor in there, but it wasn't very good. I left a good part of this on my plate as well. No one checked to see why we were leaving seafood to be thrown away, so I suppose they know the food is bad and don't care. For a $90 lunch for two (a dozen oysters and two seafood sandwiches, no alcohol) it was very disappointing. I don't give a one star review very often, but I can't in good faith give this place any more. I'd give it a half star for the nice seat outdoors if I could. read more

Tried to eat there the other night. According to their website they have "several" boat slips and a dock master that will great you. Neither were the case. We tried to dock and were told they only have one slip for customers and there was no knowledge of a dock master. Ended up going down the river for dinner and had a great time elsewhere. read more

I went to this restaurant with about 7 people in our group. Our waitress, an older lady greets us and takes our drink order. At that point we asked to split the check and she stated there is still the 20% gratuity applied to groups which wasn't an issue but it was at this moment I knew the quality of service may decline due to the fact her tip was guarantied. Well, she proved me right by letting our drinks run dry and not tending to the table to see if we needed anything though out the meal. As for the food.. we all had salads, however, some had cucumbers and some didn't.. my wife's salad had a rotting edge of a lime wedge in the salad.. I ordered the posillipo pot which was cold and the waitress never came around after dropping the dish to see if everything was okay.. The food and service is disappointing.. read more

Some time later two platters were brought to our table and as we looked confused (since we had just eating our apps) the server without hesitation told us she accidentally brought over appetizers another table had ordered to us and since we ate them we will be charged for everything. We were confused as this was not our mistake and then asked for the two platters that were just brought to our table to be removed from our bill since we would not be eating them. We paid for what was kept on our bill and as we left the restaurant a male server yelled after us accusing us of not paying for our food. I do enjoy the food, but the wait times make me not want to come back. I've come here twice, both times we waited for around two hours, even WITH reservations. What's the point of reservations if you wind up waiting the same amount of time as a walk in anyway? Luckily, they have a decent bar area on the deck where the drinks keep flowing so you don't notice the wait time THAT much. But you do. You really do. The food is good. The view and location is good. It's cool sitting on a huge boat but I feel like those guests gets a different experience than a guest sitting in the main restaurant. Both times I've went the server seemed extremely overwhelmed, while the area we were sitting in (top level of boat) was opposite of packed; with two or three other servers in this area. It was also sloowwwww. I'm not sure if it was a first day, or if they had tables elsewhere, which possible. Not great or welcoming to see a server totally stressed and overwhelmed. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, though. (I am a server, so knowing how it is, I always try to give benefit of the doubt: Understaffed, different table sections, etc.) For the food: The lobster bisque is amazing. Truly, incredible. I've gotten that both times (first time it was forgotten), and both times it hit the mark. First time I went, got the crab cakes. They were huge and delicious. Crispy on the outside and soft, full of flavor on the inside. 2nd time got the lobster roll, totally worth it in my opinion. You get a decent amount of lobster, and it is GOOD. Will totally hit your craving if you're really in the mood for a good lobster roll. We've gotten a bunch of different apps and everything is always delicious. The food never disappoints. The wait and the service is what is making me give this less than 5 stars. I would go back for the food but maybe try to sit at the bar and not wait for a table. Overall, try it out. Decent seafood.
