Food was pretty alright overall, some foods were really good(for a buffet) like some of the sushi and meats. Others were pretty gross like the orange chicken likely because it had been sitting for a bit and had gotten soggy. Flavor was alright but texture wasn't good. Customer service is absolutely amazing, I never came back to my table with the plates still there. From the photos you can see some of the selection available. I'm not sure if I ate too much but I did sh*t myself shortly after but arguably "worth it" for a cheap buffet option. I also saw a guy with 3 plates of shrimp I personally didn't have any but it must be good if he's having so much.

I write this with a much trepidation that my lovely wife will discover my review and be less than supportive. I come here because she loves it. Do keep that in mind, there are those who love it. This is a basic sea food buffet, but it isn't just sea food, it includes Chinese American, pizza all kinds stuff. The stuff isn't particularly flavor full, even things like Kung pao chicken is pretty basic and not thst flavorful. Not that the foods bad, it's not! It's.......fine. Like the little lunch stuff at QT. The staff is typically friendly, although service isn't that great. They have no need to interact with you much. As for Ambiance well....It's also not in the best neighborhood, aaannnddd you can tell! Lock your car, hide ya daughter hide ya wife.... well you know the rest. Stay strapped and.....enjoy? I guess.

I don't go to buffets for gourmet food. I go for quantity and variety. But Harbor Seafood Super Buffet does have some very good items in additional the many decent ones. I was very impressed with the sushi--both the variety and the taste. I'd come here for the sushi alone. But there's lots more to try. The overwhelming majority of the dishes are Asian, with a tiny smattering of other offerings. Quality varied--the BBQ pork was very good, as were the sauteed mushrooms and the green beans. Some dishes fell flat, but there were plenty of things we enjoyed. The service was basic but friendly, and the decor was a little cheesy, but fun. Drawbacks: The restrooms were not very clean. Also, instead of the traditional buffet soft-serve ice cream, they had single-serving ice cream and sherbet in a freezer case. Overall, next time we're in the mood for a buffet, I would go back to this one.

Came here for dinner with my fiance. Some food was cold and some were just warm. There's alot of varieties of food, soup, sushi, hibachi, seafood and dessert. I didnt think its all that. Crawfish didnt have that much taste and the roast beef was very chewy and cold. Service here wasnt all that great waiter and waitress doesn't speak English well and they have a hard time communicating. Restroom women and men absolutely needs attention. Is all I can say. Ambience, as you walk in theres a pond, its like any other buffet place. I wouldnt come back. I just thought I was in the area to try this place. Everyone has different taste and different opinion but I wouldn't come back here if im in town.

Don't knock it until you try it!! For $18 this is the real bang for your buck! There was a good variety of food from Chinese, hibachi, sushi, and fried foods. My favorite has to be the hibachi and sushi with lots of choices. If you're a fan of buffets like my family is they all said this is the best of buffets we have ever gone to because of the variety and price! It was super crowded when we went at 7PM, so it can get loud and rowdy inside. The staff is nice and always checking on us. Give it a try if you're in the area!

My dessert. (Donuts, tapioca pudding, orange chicken, 1 single cantaloupe slice, and some ice cream)

So, i went into this place having really low expectations, knowing that buffets are usually only OK or not so good. But this place actually had really good food. I thought it was really cool how they had raw meat out and you put it on your plate and they cook it for you. And also, first time having escargot...at a buffet? Really clean, really nice staff, honestly, i love this place.

Be honest, this is the best Chinese buffet I ever had. Depending on the price , the food are really good quality and tasted good . Crawfish is fresh that I was shocked about it . Highly recommended it .

They can be identified by their crust. The Spring roll has a light, crispy crust. It is Asian. The egg roll's crust is darker, thicker and in some cases larger. They also have two types of other dishes. Chow Fun, a very thin rice noodle is available. So is Lo Mein, a soft cooked wheat noodle. The later is American. There are many varieties of chicken, and soup. They serve dumplings and have a Sushi Bar, and two dessert bars, one with fruits and the other with cake and ice cream The trays are always kept full. The food is fresh. What puzzles me is the two out of three phenomena. In this case they have enchiladas (delicious!) and rice but not beans. In other Asian buffets they serve Kielbasa with cabbage but no potatoes. Do they simply not know? I have no answer. If you want to know what is in a tray before you look at the frame, above the food tray. The content of each tray is listed on the label above it. Look up--it is high up on a little white tab. Amazing Restaurant!…read more All amazing people of Phoenix, if you have not gone to this phenomenal restaurant yet, you really need to. This is one convenient, high quality, extremely flavorful Chinese place that me and my husband visited today. It was just high quality all the way! When we arrived it was quiet. Superbly clean, neat and tidy. Cute decor and a nice inviting vibe. We were sat at a table and given our menus. Prices were really good. Especially when you get the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen. Our waitress was super-nice. Which is hard to find these days. She was so nice to everyone who came in. When we sat down, a lady who wasn't too sure about the place came in asking all kinds of questions. And she patiently answered each one as if she was a close family member. A homeless guy came in asking for water. She jumped right up to give him a HUGE cup of ice and water and was so kind to him. Then other patrons came in to order and pick up food and each one, regardless of age, ethnic makeup, what they were wearing, all were greeted so warmly. Huge smiles and a constant giving and warm attitude all throughout. We were treated just as good. And for us that is very rare. We ordered a lot of various things. A cold cucumber salad, a hot appetizer, a couple of main dishes. Then the absolute most amazing signature steak on the Chef's Speciality. WOW. The salad and appetizers came out first. Salad really cold and refreshing. Super crisp and cut nicely. Amazing flavor. Then the appetizers were super hot and fresh. Not oily. Bursting with flavor. Then the mains came. Everything cooked perfectly. The flavors of each dish just screaming at my taste buds. Enjoyed every bite. Then they brought out the steak for my husband. So juicy. So tender. And the sauce in the side just added to the flavor. We savored every bite. The quality and temperatures and flavors are off the chart. We could not finish all this bliss in one sitting, se we asked for boxes and containers. She gave us many to separate everything and a bag to haul it home in. Always asking if we needed anything else and being authentically polite. This place should be packed. You are missing out if you have not tried New Hong King Restaurant. Amazing service. The restaurant itself is so cute and has such a charming feel, so I was hoping the food would be just as impressive. Unfortunately, this visit was a bit of a miss for us. The noodles were very hard in texture and unfortunately lacked flavor. The fried rice was also disappointing -- I expected the usual fried rice with some vegetables and flavor, but there weren't any veggies, and the rice itself was very hard and bland. We also tried the sweet and sour chicken, which didn't have that classic sweet, tangy flavor I was expecting. It was pretty bland, and unfortunately, the chicken tasted a little off to me, so I didn't end up eating much of it. I really wanted to love this place because the reviews are so positive and the restaurant is adorable, but based on this particular takeout experience, the food just wasn't for us. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but unfortunately, I don't think I'd be rushing back. Cute restaurant, but the food definitely missed the mark for us this time.

We had heard both positives and negatives about it so it was about time to make up my own mind. We arrived at 5:00 and were seated immediately. The buffet looked interesting with about 6 rows of items to peruse. Companion went first and when he returned I got a plate and began my tour. First item on my plate was the seafood boil. Crawdads, shrimp, mussels, corn on cob, potatoes and lots of cajun spice. If it had been hotter it would have been wonderful. Next I started down a row of hotel pans, picking those items that seemed interesting to me. Shrimp in various incarnations, beef and broccoli, pork egg roll, potsticker, sticky pork rib, velveted pepper steak with onions, and a couple of pieces of sushi. The shrimp was nicely cooked and the pepper steak was tender and properly cooked. The sushi was unremarkable and the egg roll was soggy and without merit. The potsticker was nice as was a piece of fried banana. Sanitation in the food areas was excellent with counters being wiped down as needed. I also noted one of the chefs in the Mongolian BBQ area wiping down the tiles on the wall, which was quite impressive. However, not all was great. Food was tepid at best and while I did not have a thermometer with me my estimate was that none of the food was over 100 degrees. The restrooms were a different story. The ladies room was properly clean and appointed with nothing but a few drops of water on the floor by the sink. However, companion went into the men's room and took a picture for me. It could not pass any type of inspection by any person. Normally I would have handed my companion my ultra violet light which I use when checking bathrooms, but why waste the batteries? The place was filthy and the toilets were terrible. No use to stand upon the seat, the crabs in here can jump six feet! Companion remarked that it was disgusting and he forgoed using the facility. Our bill for 2 was $36.11, which is about what other buffet charge, however, I've eaten at much better buffets for this amount. 3 stars

My party and I are seniors, and when we asked about the senior discount, we were told that the staff could not refund the difference or apply the discount to our purchase. What was especially frustrating was that the staff could clearly see that we qualified as seniors, even though we had not initially identified ourselves as such. I understand that businesses have policies regarding discounts, but the way this situation was handled felt very unprofessional and lacked basic consideration for the customer. The manager on duty at approximately 1:00 PM was also the same manager we encountered approximately five or six weeks ago during a previous visit. During that visit, we felt uncomfortable because of what appeared to be excessive staring and attention directed toward us. On this occasion, we experienced similar behavior, which made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. At one point, while we were eating, the manager walked past our table with a broom and began sweeping nearby, creating dust in the dining area while customers were eating. I found this to be inappropriate and unsanitary, particularly while people were actively dining. The service from our waitress was also disappointing. Dirty plates were left on our table for an extended period, even after we had finished eating and returned to the buffet. Although she was attending to several other tables, we felt that our table was being overlooked. Most concerning, however, was our perception that there was a noticeable difference in how Black and white customers were being treated. I cannot speak to the intentions of the staff, but based on what we personally experienced and observed, we felt that we were treated differently. That left us feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and unwelcome. A restaurant should make every customer feel respected, valued, and comfortable regardless of age or race. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Based on the overall customer service, management, cleanliness, and treatment we received, I would rate this establishment -0 stars if that were an option. My family will seek another establishment to din at on Sunday's after church services as it is not an option to din here anymore I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and investigates these concerns. Customers deserve to be treated with professionalism, dignity, and fairness every time they visit.
