Also included was a bit of somewhat dry pasta which goes well to lap up all the flavors left on the plate, and a small side salad. My wife had the redfish which came with a very large filet and more of the same basic pasta side. Steve's Marina is consistently good and the harbor view is always welcome, plus the service was quick and friendly, but I will say that they are overpriced for what you get. My wife and I shared an appetizer, had two entrees, and tea to drink - no alcohol or dessert. The bill total, after a normal tip, was over $100. I feel like you can get more for your money elsewhere because this just isn't a hundred dollar meal kind of place.

This was a quaint, cozy friendly restaurant for a nice dinner with our dear friend. We started with an appetizer crab cakes. Homemade and delicious. Then we split an entree of alfredo with shrimp with a couple salads. Our friend had a salad and crab cakes. We then enjoyed german chocolate cake. Everything was great. Best part? Our server was in the holiday spirit, dressed the part and did an awesome job of taking care of our every need. Definitely recommend! read more

The Tap House in the same building had a Poke Nacho that was a equal substitute. Under The Oak Cafe, you now hold the title for Chris's Best Nacho Choice in North America (a title that's worth absolutely nothing and you certainly don't get a refund). Seriously though, I've eaten from Oregon to Mexico to Florida to the Carribean and points in between and they are the best nacho's I've ever eaten!

At some point I genuinely started wondering whether the restaurant had recently been looted or whether we had accidentally arrived during the final hours before foreclosure. Carbonated water? Nope. Bloody Mary? Bold of you to assume a bar should know how to make one. Mimosa? Apparently you'll need to get your ass back in the car, drive somewhere that maintains a working relationship with both fruit juice AND champagne, and try again. The bar itself appears to be partially stocked, which somehow makes it worse. It's like looking into a pantry after a hurricane. There are technically objects in there. Whether any of them can be combined into a recognizable beverage remains under investigation. And then there's the customer service. Sweet baby Jesus. The overall atmosphere feels less like brunch and more like I accidentally walked into the middle of a workplace dispute nobody bothered to warn the customers about. Nobody appears to be wearing the same uniform, or possibly any uniform at all, so identifying actual employees becomes its own interactive brunch activity. Last time we came in, a woman in a tracksuit approached us with such confidence that I genuinely had no idea whether she worked there, was another customer, or was about to ask us why we were sitting in her section of Planet Fitness. Turns out it was her first day as the hostess. Of course it was. Honestly, at this point, if someone walked out of the kitchen wearing pajama pants, carrying jumper cables, and announced they were the executive chef, I'd just nod and ask whether the ketchup had arrived yet. Nothing about the place feels coordinated. The drinks aren't coordinated. The staff isn't coordinated. The inventory isn't coordinated. I'm not entirely sure the building itself has been informed that it is currently operating as a restaurant. You don't come here for brunch. You come here for an experience. An experience that begins with, "Surely they have coffee," progresses rapidly into, "How are you out of THAT too?" and ends with you sitting in your car afterward staring silently through the windshield while your passenger whispers: "Let's go to Waffle House" Come hungry. Leave confused. And for the love of God, bring your own ketchup.
