First time here and if you like the Hard Rock you'll like any Hard Rock. My burger was very good, I asked for it medium and it came out very pink. I asked for some sort of chili powdered fries and they were extremely greasy. The service was phenomenal but the food was mediocre. Really?! This place was beyond horrible. First of all it was our third choice out of all the restaurants in Foxwoods. Should have made a reservation, we learned from this mistake. The hostess tells us it would be an hour wait. ok fine. we were hungry. We come back in 40mins just to check in and she automatically seats us. So much for the hour wait but good because we can eat. All of a sudden a waitress starts yelling. Just because. Ok. I've been in several Hard Rock Cafe's and I do not recall random yelling because it's a "fun atmosphere". We are seated, but not without noticing that there are several empty tables despite the hostess telling other people that there was an hour to two hour wait. Trying to make the restaurant look busy?! I think so... The food is the normal menu accept bumped up in price due to location. Fine. However, when my vegetarian friend orders the ceasar salad, it comes out with bacon hidden in it. Bacon is not listed in the ingredients on the menu and last time I checked, ceasar salad did not automatically have bacon in it. Appalled. My plate comes out scorching hot, but my food is cold. WTF?! I'm hungry so I start eating even though I'm pretty pissed. Waitress comes over to see how things are, we tell her and she proceeds to tell us how tired SHE is. Really?! At least the bacon in the salad of a vegetarian customer's food gets her attention because otherwise she didn't seem to care that we were given shitty food. The two times we went, we could never seem to get a table so we always order and sit at the bar. Not our usual type of restaurant, but when at the casino it fits in with a night out having a good time if we dont want to go to a fancier restaurant. The burgers are good and so are the appetizers, a bit pricey for what it is, but its the casino so it's expected. They do make some good (strong) drinks, and they make one of the better espresso martini's around - primarily why I wanted to go back. Like all Hard Rock Cafe Locations, it's all about the music memorabilia on the walls which is cool to look at and if that's what you are into this is definitely the place for you. If you want a nice dining experience with really good food and exceptional service, not so much. The food is decent, but it's a chain and you can tell that there is not a lot of care and pride put into the food. The pride is all in the decor. The service is lackluster and the drinks are weak, like most chains. If you are in Foxwoods walk around and check out some of the other restaurants. Let me state up front I am often harder on trendy chain restaurants than other places so I was prepared to not be impressed. However I can say these guys turned my head. The staff was excellent. Excellent. Attentive without being pushy. Spot on with drinks and questions. The kitchen staff made one of the best burgers I have ever had. Crispy on the outside and rare in the middle. "Yeah I love a $12 Bud Light" -Said no one ever. This sums up my experience at the Hard Rock. We stopped here for drinks one Friday night while at Foxwoods. I guess with any draft you get a "free" souvenir glass which if I knew that I would not have gotten a draft. But in Hard Rock's serve all nature they throw a bone and the refill is only $7.50 such a bargain. On top of this the service sucked. The place was empty and we had a hard time finding the waiter and when we did it took forever for the drinks to come. At least I won enough money to cover my surprisingly high bar tab. read more

Wanting a quick, no fuss dinner before a show at Foxwoods, my dining partner and I chose Hard Rock Cafe. We remembered having some somewhat surprisingly impressive nachos at another Hard Rock location, so we figured that, being a chain, there should be some kind consistency with such a simple dish. Thus, to Hard Rock Cafe we went. We arrived on a Friday night at about 6:00 p.m. We went over to the hostess stand , had our IDs checked, and was told it would be just a short wait and to wait to the side. I asked, specifically, how long the wait would be, as we were trying to make a show, and she said "about five minutes, we are seating the party before you." The party before us was then called over from the side, told to wait at the hostess stand, and then asked to wait at the bottom of the stairs. About twelve seconds later (not sure why we were asked to move off to the side when our table was ready so shortly), we were asked to follow that same progression. It reminded me of being at an airpoint with the multiple steps and check points. However, the short wait time couldn't be beat! Once seated, our very friendly, bubbly waitress offered us a drink menu and dinner menu. I noted there were no prices on the drink list, which I found to be a little irritating -- this is a kitchy chain eatery, not a michelin star restaurant, the prices should appear on the menu. The lack of prices would not be much of an issue if the waitress were clearer about pricing and sizing. I ordered a mojito, as I did not want a drink with any kind of mix in it, and this seemed to be one of the few without. I was asked if I wanted to upgrade it to a larger size, but I declined. My dining partner ordered a beer on draught (there were about 12 options, five of which were IPA "craft beers" and the rest were largely basic domestic beers (bud)). He was also asked if he wanted a larger size. He asked her what the size difference was and said it is a few ounces larger and it comes with cheaper refills." My boyfriend was sold. When our beers arrived, he instantly said that he felt a little silly ordering the larger size, as the "upgraded" beer was a whole two ounces larger. As for the food, we went with the nachos and decided to add the "Southwest chicken" for $5.95. We were also asked if we wanted guacamole, but when we were told it was an additional charge for already expensive nachos, we declined. When our nachos arrived, it was definitely a sizable platter, but I noticed immediately that the advertized pico was just diced tomatoes. There was a sprinkling of scallions; a hefty amount of raw, sliced jalepenos; a scoop of sour cream, and plenty of shredded cheese. However, I could not see any of the chicken. Preparing to call the waitress over and tell her the cook accidentally left off the chicken, my boyfriend exclaimed, "found one!" As we ate our nachos, I counted a total of seven bits (I say bits because all pieces were under one inch) of gray-looking chicken. We ended up picking around them, feeling silly for paying an additional six dollars for a quarter of a chicken breast that seems like it had been sitting at the bottom of a prep container for at least a day. The nachos also had what appeared to be a very thin avocado-puree drizzle on top. It tasted strongly of black pepper. I hoped that this was not their guacamole, as I felt bad for the avocado who died to make that sorry sauce. Eating around the avocado drizzle and the chicken, the nachos themselves were not bad, but just lacked a punch of freshness. If there were a true pico or even a salsa, the nachos would have been far better, as they overall felt dry. We ended up using the sour cream almost as a dip because they were so lacking in moisture. Oddly, the chips also tasted as if someone sprinkled each with cajun seasoning. Not bad, really, but just something that did not seem to fit. The nachos were nothing like the nachos we remembered having at the other Hard Rock location. When it came time for our bill, we realized that the larger drink sizes my boyfriend agreed to earlier actually involved buying a souvineer hard rock pint glass. We had no interest in buying a pint glass and were not informed by our waitress that by ordering a larger size, we were getting (and paying for) a pint glass, which amounted to almost $12 for one beer with glass -- it would have been $7 for a beer without the glass). We had no need for the glass, but did not feel that it was worth arguing over. We ended up leaving Hard Rock feeling a little duped. Thankfully, we were spending the night at the casino and were able to pick up the darn glass the next day (you bring your receipt to the Hard Rock store across from the restaurant), otherwise we would not have bothered even picking up the glass, as we did not want to carry it around all night. Just be clear that if you're ordering the "larger" drink, you're also ordering a silly souvineer drink glass. read more

I've been to a lot of Hard Rock Cafe's- Canada, NYC, Boston, LA, etc. and this one was, by far, the worst one I've ever been to. Service was extremely slow- and there was no one there! The bar was almost completely empty and there were barely any people sitting at tables or booths- yet, while we were only ordering drinks for the most part, it would take ten minutes for a drink to arrive. Two people in our group ordered food- they were going to split a cheeseburger..it took 45 minutes to come out and it looked like a hockey puck. I got a Hurricane and a Sangria to drink. The hurricane tasted like a Capri Sun- probably because it was 90% juice, 5% booze, and 5% ice. The Sangria was pretty good though- it just tasted like red grape juice wine. The prices were outrageous! It was $13.99 for the first drink (including a Bud Light Draft!! ) and then $9.75 for the refill ($9 for the Bud Light). You got to keep a "Souvenir Glass" but only if you ask how to get it- you need to bring the receipt to the gift store that's located outside of the actual restaurant. The atmosphere was lackluster compared to other Hard Rock Cafe's as well. They had a lot of pictures, but as far as collector memorabilia there was very little to look at. And we had the pleasure of listening to 90s grunge for most of the night- which normally I wouldn't mind, but probably around the second Green Day song, I was over it. If you're looking for a great experience- this is definitely not the place. read more

H and I came in around midnight after an amazing comedy show at the Grand Theatre at Foxwoods. We had an hour's drive back to West Hartford... So we figured a late night snack couldn't hurt. I had a grrrrreat Shirley Temple. H had a hard apple ale. That was the best part of the evening. We ordered the jumbo combo app and we're deeply disappointed at the lack of flavor (lookin' at you, you sad excuse for an onion ring!) and seasoning (boneless wings and wings). The spinach dip wasn't bad, but the accompanying crackers were stale. Womp womp. The apps alone were enough to deter me from ordering anything, but my optimistic H decided to order the mushroom and bacon burger- only to be let down. Even after waiting a little over 20 min (from receiving the apps to the entree), the burger was lukewarm and tasteless. Moreover, although our waitress started out kind, she became very aloof and unresponsive to our concerns. I've had better food from Hard Rock. This restaurant does not do justice to the chain. Our original choice for dinner was the Festival Buffet, but we opted not to wait in the huge, overflowing line of old people trying to cut and families with impatient kids. So we walked around the corner to the Hard Rock. I found it odd that we got carded when we entered (before we were even brought to a table) but yet we had no trouble in any of the casinos....but anyway... They have two "separate" rooms, which was nice. The main room with tables surrounding a huge bar in the center, and a smaller dining room, which was a bit quieter. The walls were packed with your typical rock 'n' roll memorabilia, and music videos played on a screen non-stop. The menu leaves much to be desired, and is very expensive. Our group ended up just getting burgers and the pulled pork sandwich. My burger was cooked perfectly medium rare and was huge - I couldn't finish the last few bites. Our server was very attentive and friendly, no complaints there. All in all, a tasty, filling meal that recharged us for another round of slots. read more

Our server mentioned we could get a 20oz Bud Light that comes with a "free" souvenier cup to take home. We said sure, because who is gonna order a smaller beer? We checked the tab and it was $12! They really should mention they charge you for this cup when you order. We just ordered burgers for lunch, and they were about average. The bun was nice, the burger itself was just ordinary. The fries were your run of the mill chain restuarant fries that were definitely salted more than once. The servers are pretty nice, but it's not something that would bring me back. I know there aren't a ton of "cheap" dining options at Foxwoods, but I think next time I'll just buy a 12 pack and a burger at Wendy's and save myself the hassle. read more

If the prices were more in line with a Chili's or Applebees, it would be worth the 4th star. However $12.95 for about 8 wings and 15 bucks for burgers is on the high side for what you pay for. I have to admit the food was decent but what you really pay for is the experience of the memerorbillia and the music videos that are playing. You never know what you might see. Overall, I would return for a special occasion, but for a similar sit down restaurant at Foxwoods, I would go to the Veranda Cafe for a better value. read more

First off, I will say that our server was awesome (Michelle, maybe?) Knowing we were there to drink, she helped guide us around the drink menu and how to drink more for less money. Also, at the end of our meal she went out of her way to see if any of us had a AAA card to save a few bucks. Out of 7 people, no one had any complaints about our meals. The drinks were definitely a bit on the sweet side, but what else do you expect from a chain restaurant bar? My wife and I, as well as her brother and his wife, dined here approximately a week ago. My wife and I are Hard Rock Cafe regulars, but this was the first or maybe second time that her brother and his wife had been to one. This location is situated in a casino, which means that it is a bit of walking from the time you park your car to actually get to the restaurant - regardless of where you manage to park your car. Once we made our way to the restaurant, it was one of the more interesting that we've been in - at least in terms of its layout - because it had these really high ceilings which allowed for memorabilia to stretch out the wall, as well as for there to be much larger memorabilia then we have seen displayed on the walls of many of the Hard Rock Cafes we have visited. Anyway, the service was attentive, but a little slow - particularly when it came to the amount of time that we waited between ordering our food and receiving the food, as well as waiting for refills. But the food itself was fairly standard fare, except for the ribs - my wife had ribs and pulled pork, while my brother-in-law had ribs and chicken. Both commented about how great their meal - especially the ribs - were, also mentioning the BBQ sauce. Overall, we'd go back. read more

I was quite surprised at my Hard Rock experience yesterday. Having been to Hard Rocks in NY, Boston, Florida and Las Vegas years ago, I figured I knew what to expect, but I was way off! They have enhanced their menu greatly, with so many more choices than my previous visits. Our service was excellent and the dry rub grilled wings were great, as was the buffalo and bbq sauces. Hard Rock cafe's never get old. It's always so much fun to watch all the different music videos they show. I have been to Hard Rock's in Mexico, Spain, and New York, and I'd have to say this one is the least impressive, but still ok. It is roomier than most I've been to, and the wait staff is always friendly. I love their food, but its nothing exciting or anything to brag about. Their burgers are great, and their mac and cheese with chicken is excellent. Their salads are always fresh. It's just a bit pricey for typical food. I love their signature drinks, but these are pricey too, especially if it comes with a glass to take home. It is by no means free with the drink! They also have bands on the weekends! We went when a friend of ours band was playing and they packed the house. It gets crowded, and even though we were in there for dinner we were supposed to pay extra to stay for the band! Ridiculous! We tipped the waitress well and she got us bracelets to stay for free, so that was lucky and nice. It was a great atmosphere and a lot of fun. All in all I think this is the best place for lunch or dinner at Foxwoods. read more

The menu is exactly what you expect. Basic American food. A little overpriced but you're at a casino in a Hard Rock Cafe, so what do you expect? The bar is huge, and that's where I'd recommend sitting. They DO accept Foxwoods points. Also, you will be ID'd twice. Once at the entrance and again at the bar. Went on a Friday night. No reservation but only a 15 minute wait. We were seated by the stage where a live band was setting up a very large speaker right next to our table. This concerned us but the hostess assured us they wouldn't start playing until 9pm. It was 7:30. Waiter was very nice. Food took forever which is the new norm these days with all the staffing shortages. But it wasn't super busy so idk what was really going on in the kitchen. Food finally came out and was average (but at least it was hot) but now the band started doing sound checks. Then they played a song to check. It was deafening. We couldn't hear each other even if we yelled. If it wasn't so ridiculously loud and annoying it was almost comical. There were plenty of other empty tables on the other side of the room so if we ever go back (which idk if we will) I would definitely request to sit as far away from the stage as possible. read more

My family and I went to the Hard Rock Cafe to celebrate Mother's day yesterday. After waiting for 15 minutes for a table when the restaurant was half empty, the unfriendly host sat us down. It took approximately 10-15 minutes for our server to take our drink order and we also gave her our food order. It was another 10 minutes before we received our drinks, and over an hour to get our food. I ordered the steak fajitas, which had absolutely no seasoning on them whatsoever. It was so bland, it tasted like I was eating nothing. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich which he enjoyed, but it wasn't enough.Our server was nice, but it took way too long for everything and was disappointing. Came for dinner, not my first time to a Hard Rock, not to this location. Everything was good, food and service. Started off with the spinach artichoke dip, good spinach flavor, I felt that there was too much Parmesan cheese it almost over powered everything, but I recommend it for sure. As a main I had the fiesta burger, awesome. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The burger came with guacamole,and roasted jalapeño pico de gallo, very balanced. The slight heat coming through from the chili peppers with the cooling feel from the guac along with the textures. Made it a great burger! I was at the casino with my son & daughter in law yesterday. Let me start by saying our server was delightfully cheerful & promptly refilled soda glasses. We all ordered burger plates of some sort. My son & dil ordered theirs well done, I always get mine cooked medium. My burger didn't come out medium. It was well done. Bummer. However having worked in a food service establishment in my younger days I never return food to the kitchen. Another huge disappointment was my $7 milkshake. I asked that it be brought out with my food. The server did delay it bring the milkshake out until about 10 minutes before my meal came out, but it was poured into a heavy glass which was piping hot just out of the dishwasher I assume so by the time my burger came out it was like warm chocolate milk. Again I'm not one to send things back unless I can watch it being remade, so I left without saying a word & paying $80 with tax and tip for 3 burger plates, 2 sodas, & warm chocolate milk that I could have & should have went to Mohegan to Bobbys Burgers for a way better flawlessly prepared meal for 3 for less $!
