I love this restaurant. Our server was Wesley! He was amazing. He recommended the blackberry sangria which was both sweet and tart. He gave us some points of interest to visit. Disappointing. Chains are hit and miss and this was a heavy miss. Not because it has to be- the decor, lighting, space, bar area- all very nice. The company did its job. The food- decent. Typical Hard Rock menu and consistent flavor. Staff and overall energy? Negative stars. The Server though capable- gave off a I don't want to be here and I've got better things to do energy. You're in the middle of the Bourbon St. experience and you have more to offer than cheap drinks, music played at a volume that distorts it and pizza. If Hard Rock brought the vibe of high energy- we are actually happy you're here- can I offer suggestions etc- offer specials- offer live local music because everyone else is and you've got an actual stage. The host had to keep yelling at people not to exit out of the side exit because it's the emergency exit- why not put up the rope? It was set aside 2 feet away. Add a stand up sign? Instead of yelling "sir sir no no" over and over again. First, it gives something's wrong vibe and second- customers don't want to be yelled at for trying to exit- completely avoidable. We were unfortunate enough to be sat next to said dooms door. I'm not sure if Hard Rock is a better place to work but based off the experience- it's giving banking on the name alone to get people in and while that might work for a Minute- this location won't survive and sadly- it doesn't need to fail. read more

I love hard rock. We heard live music and the wait staff was awesome. We ordered the salmon, half a rack of ribs, fries, and onion rings. The onion rings were awesome as were the ribs. The salmon was served raw. They were quick to fix it, but that is something that should have never made it past the expediter. Great location on Bourbon, just a block from Canal. read more

A beautiful location in the French Quarters of New Orleans, myself and my family visit there on August 30th to celebrate my brother and best friend birthday. It was fairly empty and when I asked the host for a table she told me I should sit at the bar or she would have to clean off a table. There was literally empty tables all over, I'm not sure if she was also going to have to he our waitress and didn't feel like being bothered but I decided to just sit at the bar since the person I was with wanted to eat here. The person at the bar was really nice though and the manager walking around was cool also. Our waiter then brought our drinks and then later, our bill. The manager took the food to our table and refilled our drinks after being neglected by our waiter for about 20-30 minutes. The manager then took the bill back and comped more than half our bill because of our waiter's unsatisfactory service. Ambiance: 4/10 The restaurant was quite clean. The band that was playing for a large potion of the stay was clearly very VERY new to performing. The group had 6+ technical malfunctions (I stopped counting), the main vocalists had the lyrics to the songs in their hands and sang them very poorly, and they were tuned up so incredibly loud that I couldn't hear myself think. So we popped into the "Hard Rock Cafe," sat at the bar. The bar had a bunch of empty glasses everywhere and about 2 people sitting but opted to sit anyways. The bartender came over, picked up the used glasses where we were, no wipe down just placed napkins in front of us. I asked about blondes, the bartender was rude and pointed to the beer taps. Now if I could see what they read, I wouldn't have asked. I settled on the Stella, bartender said "we're out." I then asked what he did have and he again pointed to the taps. I said "if I could read it, i wouldn't ask." He stood there leaning on the counter like we were a bother. So that was that. We decided to leave, no nice service, atmosphere looked nice, but hopefully it was an off day for the guy, after all it was a Monday night!! But really, NO excuse for being rude!! We were having a hard time finding something local that didn't have seafood and we ended up here. We walked right up on a Sunday night around 6:00 and didn't have to wait for a table. We have been to other Hard Rocks and enjoyed the memorabilia on the walls and same with this location. I got the chicken sandwich and husband got a fried chicken sandwich. We both really enjoyed our meals. My sandwich had a very good honey mustard sauce on it that we both loved. The fries were also delicious, hot and crispy but still soft in the middle with good seasoning. Overall it's not local and authentic but if you have picky eaters this is the place to go. read more

Took a trip to NO for Mardi Gras we went here around 8pm and we were seated immediately. Our waitress came promptly and got us started on drinks. She was medium height dark African American young lady. She was sweet and handling multiple different tables at once. I ordered a lemon drop as well as the classic burger. This isn't one of the larger, or nicer Hard Rock Cafes with a larger gift shop but it did the trick... We need reservations to eat here, even though it's 1PM. We were able to snag two seats at the bar. The bartender asked what we wanted to eat while he dropped off drinks and spoke to the couple next to us, he clearly couldn't hear or comprehend our order while talking to other folks. I waited for his eyes and attention back to take our order before speaking our order. The bars need purse hooks, there's nowhere to place purses at the bar at all. We ordered the classic nachos with guacamole and boneless bodacious wings in the sweet and spicy tangy sauce with a side of onion rings. $43.04 I saw the nachos for the couple next to us. I asked the bartender and asked if he could please make sure they add more cheese. He looked at me blankly and kept making drinks for others. Ok. The onion rings were super crispy, almost too hard, breading is almost panko crust thick. The nacho chips were stale for both of us, we sent them back. The boneless wings were the best part of our meal. Chicken was perfectly cooked and tender too. The breading isn't too heavy either. The sauce is quite good. Their boneless bodacious wings are worth a try. Never really have high expectations for Hard Rock Cafe food much, this place met my set expectations. Skip the nachos unless their chips are fresh. Our server Berion was AWESOME!! Great attitude, super attentive and very personable! Our food was delicious... shrimp app was a little spicier than we thought it's be, the twisted Mac was SOOOO DELICIOUS, NY strip was cooked perfectly, the ribeyes were cooked a little more than we ordered, but the flavor was AWESOME... Shane ( the manager) did several table touches and took great care of us, to compensate for the ribeyes not being cooked to our preference. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, as we showed up 30minutes before our reservation, they let us be seated early, the staff in the gift shop were well spirited and super friendly ... and my mom and daughter both had their birthdays and they were complimented and tons of well wishes from all of the staff! I am not a fan of many chain restaurants, nor am I a fan of visiting a chain restaurant while on vacation. When we walked in the door and received the warm welcome by the gleeful staff, I realized this was not your typical Hard Rock Cafe. Clearly a combination of that Louisiana charm and a highly effective GM makes this place what it is. The historic decor of this Hard Rock was quite impressive, they also had a photo spot, which was used quite heavily while we were there and a nice touch. A casual and comfortable dining room that is not excessively loud in a restaurant like this is somewhat hard to find. When dining in a chain restaurant I find the best options are burgers or pizzas, I go with what I know! The burgers and the pizza are both good here. This is a place where you can expect to see the GM, Shane Tucker, on the floor checking in with the patrons, he definitely navigated our dinner to a 5-star experience. He was a pleasure to talk with and stopped back numerous times to ensure everything was perfect, I was impressed! Cheers! read more
