First time here! So good! Be sure to get a charcuterie board- we got a medium and it was plenty for two. But skip the bacon. Shrimp Cesar is delish - we split that. Hubby got the duck ragu - very rich (and our waiter said it heats up well for the next day). I got the Manhattan steak with potatoes - the star was the tomato and fresh mozzarella on top. Strawberry shortcake was okay. I got a summer wind to drink and it was awesome. Would have given 5 stars but service was lacking - waited five minutes for a steak knife and for silver ware for the dessert. We will definitely go back - and sit outside! read more

Stopped by Hardware for a late breakfast/lunch today and I am impressed! I always drive by this place but never knew what it was. I got the flower child cocktail (which was amazing and I usually hate alcohol, it was smooth and easy to drink), goat cheese app, and the charcuterie for one with their house made cheese and house made wagyu summer sausage. They grow their own herbs and use rainwater to water their plants...more sustainable, fresh, and delicious!! Wait staff was also very friendly. Will definitely be back!! read more

We have been wanting to go here for sometime and we were not disappointed. Service was great thanks to Jackson. The charcuterie was amazing; they make their own Meats and the chorizo was tender, the duck bacon was Smokey and the cheese was tasty. The pork belly served in watermelon was fantastic. The fish fry was hearty and flavorful. My sandwich was le pig Mac. Not sure what made it so delicious. The bun was soft and the American cheese melted so nicely but then the pork was Smokey and seasoned so well I could tell what my favorite part was. We went on a Sunday in the spring so we look forward to sitting outside when all this greens flourish. The sazerac was perfection. The beer was great. I had bloody Mary's made with bourbon chased with an ipa. I combined mine, making it more like a michelada. read more

This place is amazing. From the building itself, to the way they source their food, to the food itself. Every part of the building has a story. They built the place with material that once had a previous purpose. For example the chimney bricks were once part of a crematorium (gives ya the heebee-geebees). Seriously though. A place that takes the time to source their building materials is definitely going to serve you the best foods. Much of the food they serve is grown on site! They have hops growing on vines between the outdoor tables from raised gardens. They have a green house and the waiter mentioned to us today that they've planted a pepper farm on one of the sides of the restaurant. Across the street you'll find their hops field too!! Everywhere we looked we saw produce growing. The menu is fantastic and every dish we ordered was amazing. For example: The tacos had fricken garlic flowers on them!! GARLIC FLOWERS. The dessert menu also has a mix of sweet AND savory options as well as adult options with alcohol treats like an iced coffee that has whisky. Perfect for summer. The savory option was a pork belly that is glazed with awesome whisky sauce. We had the Flat Iron, which is a piece of wagu steak on a bed of perfect sticky rice and came with a perfect sauce. The wagu was amazingly seasoned. Also we had the Korean pork fried rice with an egg on top which we really loved too. Finally I ordered the sticky saucy fried chicken which actually turned out to be the biggest pieces of orange chicken I've ever had. They were soo good. For dessert we had the strawberry short cake and ho-hos. The cake was amazing it had a crunch short bread with fresh strawberries and the ho-hos were serves in a puddle of sweet creme. So amazingly good. Literally nothing here was bad and the establishment itself had a ton of detail. Definitely a place to be proud of having in our neck of the woods. read more

Please note this review is based on experience during COVID: I called ahead to see what their procedure was for beer pickup. Person that answered was very friendly. On Saturday they are open from 1-7 pm for beer pickup. They have 2 kinds of beer available in 4 packs and several available in crowlers. When I pulled up staff came right outside to take my order and brought it back out very quickly. The outside of the building is beautiful. We ordered the baked goat cheese (mouth watering), quinoa salad (fresh and flavorful) Korean fried rice (the duck egg... chef's kiss) ravioli (honestly my least favorite but I think I was just comparing it to the other dishes) and the fish and chips (the swordfish was incredible and will be the thing I order when I return) My first old fashioned was a bit hot for my taste, however my friends ordered the cinnamon old fashioned and figgin awesome they were delicious. I had a hearty IPA brewed in house that was excellent! Cannot wait for warm weather to sit on the patio with a beer, order some charcuterie, and devour fish and chips! read more

Look, I'm from South Jersey, we have endless options in the Tri-State and are spoiled. However, I don't think I've ever given 5 stars to date but this is well deserved! We pulled up to Hardware and looking over the outside I knew we were in for a treat. Lots of plants and well used space, had the reclaimed look, loved it. My fiancé and I split everything and took most of the burger home to savor. We were greeted by a lovely hostess and seated promptly. Our server Noy could not have been more attentive, he was fabulous. To start we ordered drinks- 1) Flower Child, 1) Barrel Aged Manhattan- not just pleasing to look at but possibly the best drinks I've had in quite some time. Appetizers- Burrata & Poutine- AH-MAZING! I like to consider myself a burrata aficionado, never had one like this, the sweet and savory was perfection. The Poutine had an egg over easy (perfectly cooked, no run) over too which I convinced my boyfriend to break and mix in, changed the flavor in a great way. The Sriracha cheese curds melted into the flavors of the home made sausage & cooled by the green pepper over the crisped smashed potatoes, YUM! Main course- Bison Burger & the Manhattan NY steak. Well, I've always thought Ted's Montana Grill had the best bison burger I'd ever had. Hardware just blew that out of the water. The combo of pork belly and bison is ... I'm struggling to find the right words... slap yo mama good!!! The sweet potatoe chips were perfectly thin and crisp. The Manhattan NY Steak made our heads spin as well! You barely needed to use a knife to cut. My bow to the chef bc finally I've been somewhere and they know how to cook a steak! Hint of smoke flavor and mild seasoning so you could really appreciate the natural flavors. The side of tomato, mozzarella and olive tapenade was a nice treat and potatoe that was lightly smashed. Perfect double date spot. Great drinks, great food, unique atmosphere. We loved seeing the microgreens being grown on the premises. When we were there (several months ago) they also had clear screens up for public health, which was nice and actually created an intimate little room-within-a-room. Love all around! read more

Our second time to Hardware, last was 4-5 years ago. The food is unusual in that most dishes make use of the some greens growing around the property. Sustainable and clever. A wide variety of food types, not a chicken & burger joint, for sure...actually no burgers or chicken! The three guests had ravioli, stuffed chicken and a mixed greens salad with salmon. Don't look for regular type lettuces, only greens. All three were delicious, and reasonably priced. The menu is of decent size, but many dishes had an ingredient or two that were not something that I enjoy. Hardware has a massive whiskey selection, too bad we don't drink that . They do have 6-7 beers that they brew, as well as 4-5 local craft brews. If I had one suggestion, it would be that they need a beer menu similar to their whiskey menu! I was impressed that they were able to seat 9 of us in the main dining room without a crowded or claustrophobic feeling. It's pretty spacious inside and as of this review, there are still plastic partitions between some of the booths allowing patrons some space. Appetizers--that was probably my favorite part of the meal. We ordered a bunch to try and were not disappointed with any of them. My eight year old self is in shock when I say that the charred brussel sprouts were my favorite. I could have eaten the whole plate of it! Other fantastic apps, the poutine (which comes served with over easy egg, because of course it does), the salmon tartare, the burrata and the teriyaki bacon. I didn't care for the burnt ends too much, but Im not a huge fan of that cut anyway. Their charcuterie board offerrings look amazing and it's worth a note to say they try to be as self-sustainable as possible, including a farm/greenhouse for their produce and hops and they cure/smoke all their meat on site I believe. We did each have a main and I opted for the bison burger with truffle cheddar. It was well-made and the side of oven potatoes were so good. This was quite a drive for me but folks should try to visit this amazing space. I would love to come back for their charcuterie board and try their house brews. read more

This is a must-try place. Food is excellent and many ingredients are grown locally as well as by the owners and staff. The staff is more than willing to not only explain any item on the menus, make recommendations but also fill you in on any questions, history, or plans for the future of the restaurant. Being of Canadian descent, I had to try the poutine. They definitely have their own take on it and it was great. The first time we went was for lunch, the Georgia peach grilled cheese is unbelievable. Dinner saw me having the fish and chips, also very well done with their own twist. For dessert, we had the pork belly. Yes, you heard right, pork belly. It won't be for everyone but ya got to at least try it. Yes, we have and will be back, with and without friends. I ordered the pork tenderloin and it was amazing. Cooked perfectly and paired well with a house brewed beer. I felt the price point was on par with the quality, and quantity of the food. For our drinks, my wife went with a Flower Child and I went with a beer flight. For starters we went with the Brisket Tacos and the Green House salad. For our entrees, I had the Wagyu Flat Iron steak and my wife had the House Made Linguini Ragu. For dessert we had the Chocolate Ho Hos. Let me tell you that everything here tastes fresh! Very unique dishes. My hat goes off to the chef and kitchen staff. They certainly know what they're doing. The ambiance is great. They also take COVID precautions serious here.
