I don't work there and I walked in, so I have no idea what things look like behind the scenes. The issue wasn't that they were busy, it was that the expectations set didn't reflect reality. After walking around the area for about an hour after drop-off, I returned and noticed my vehicle was still sitting in the same guest parking spot at the side of the building where I had left it. By 11:00 (after waiting over 90 minutes/nearly two hours from drop-off) with no phone call update and no apparent movement of the vehicle, I went to the front desk to ask about the status. Shortly after I asked, the vehicle was brought into the shop and I was assured the diagnostic would take "about" 30 minutes. It ended up taking closer to 50 before I got up again to ask about an update. My main frustration was not the diagnosis itself, but the communication and expectations throughout the process. Everyone I interacted with was polite and reasonable, but I was given the same optimistic timeline despite the shop evidently being backed up. If I had been told up front that it would be hours before the vehicle would be moved, let alone looked at, I would have planned my morning differently. I do want to clarify that the issue wasn't attitude or service, it was a lack of clear and realistic communication. Better coordination internally and more honest timelines for customers would make a big difference.

He said he would have the mechanic take a look and evaluate once I got there. Once I arrived Grayson was at the front desk and let me know that there was 1 person ahead of me. It only took about 15-20 minutes for them to get to my car and diagnose the issue. He stated that the mechanic observed the rotors measured low and the brake pads would need to be sanded to be even. The service was great, Grayson and "Grumpy" were both very nice and explained things where I could understand. The estimate was between $200-$600. I paid toward the higher end, not sure whether or not it was a good deal, I just needed it done and it got done. They also checked some other things for me...so I guess it was a good deal. Below is my review: I found Innovation Racing through hours of searching for a conpany that had good reviews from before and had a solid example of work performed. I took my 2016 Chevy SS (6.0) to them to assess an issue that was plaguing me for months and after numerous trips to the dealership was left unreolved. I had a loud rattling sound coming from the underside of mid body near the exhaust and drive shaft. I was clueless on what was wrong and apparently the "experts" at the dealership were as well. After about 15 minutes of close examination and relying on decades of experience, the team at Innovation Racing quickly diagnosed the issue (exhaust clamps loose and different metal types expanding at different rates due to heat exposure). They took the vehicle, applied awesome welds at the connecting points and had her back to me within a couple days. She is running great, sounds great, zero exhaust leaks, and I could not be happier. Additionally, they were non bullshitters who told it like it was and were extremely reasonable and upfront about costs. If you are looking for great work by an awesome team, Innovation Racing are the right choice. On another positive note: seeing the projects they have going on and talking muscle cars is always fun!
