If you are a woman, DO NOT call this place. Tried calling for a potential guesstimate and apparently as a woman I am too blind to see the check engine light that is NOT on in my car. He also gave me a long winded answer to an estimate question as if my engine needed to be rebuilt for a simple code. That potential $ grab and talking down to me said all I needed to hear. So I called him out on it and he got defensive as IF he did nothing wrong. As a woman we have to be knowledgeable in cars and on guard to not be taken advantage of and I know more than my husband does for the most part. I kept having to call/text to get updates on my vehicle since it was there for a couple days. When it came time to pick up my vehicle there was things left in the cab from the tech and also tools left in the engine bay. I'm glad I checked before leaving because there was a 14mm wrench right next to the serpentine belt. I should've looked closer before I paid this company my $1,100 dollars to place the identical aftermarket parts on my Jeep 2026 like I did in 2023 on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler. A light installed with the cord hanging out of the back of my Jeep tied down with a dang zip tie!! Who rides around with a dang black cord hanging from their tire onto their gold vehicle tied with a dang ZIP TIE!!!! The new gas tank cover was only sitting half inside the Jeep when I drove into the shell station. That's just embarrassing and your company should be ashamed of themselves for the poor workmanship. I will NEVER REFER anyone to your company and I will be sure to leave this picture and the inappropriately installed new gas tank cover that was installed wrong and caused me to make a 2nd trip only to have the original one reinstalled due to the terrible workmanship. I have a Nissan Titan XD with a 5.0L Cummins Turbo Diesel, and it has been difficult to find a reputable place that provides the maintenance for my diesel vehicle. Other dealerships and other independent shops were unable to perform the maintenance on the truck. However, Red Rock Repair was able to provide me with a Diesel oil change as well as replacing both my Fuel Filters for my truck. Diesel maintenance isn't cheap, but I found their prices reasonable, upfront, and transparent prior to receiving service. Service advisor was great, and the truck was ready in a few hours. Taking your vehicle in for a service/repair is never fun. Ever! But the team over at Red Rock Repair make this process a lot less painful. From our first call, Trish was very responsive, helpful and most of all, patient answering all of our questions-and we had a lot! A detailed inspection report was provided with photographs outlining the service that was needed to get us back on the road. It's one thing for a repair shop to tell you what is wrong with your car, it's another thing when you can actually see the problem. Once we approved the needed work, they were quick to get the job on their calendar and two days later we picked up our van. I brought my Jeep to Red Rock Repair because several of my emissions protocal would not clear and the jeep was due for a smog test, this was almost a year ago. After a week I got a call telling me that they found a leak at the intake manifold, something id smoke tested and saw no problem, but i gave them the go ahead in case i missed something and i needed my vehicle fixed and id run out of ideas, this was a $1000 repair to change the gasket, almost entirely labor charges. This shop by now had my vehicle for a couple weeks requiring me to make a trip to DMV for an extension, so when they called and said it was ready i was delighted and went to pick up my jeep. Halfway through completing the paperwork during our conversations it was disclosed the emissions was still in a not ready state and the idle was staying to high coming to a stop, these were the things id brought it in for. when i questioned what the problem was they basically threw their hands in the air and indicated they had given up, i then asked about the warranty on the repaires they had just completed and i was told the warranty covered 100% of parts, no coverage on labor? Keep in mind the repair bill was 90 to 95% labor ( on a repair i probably did not need.) obviously there was nothing more they were going to do, despite assuring me they were jeep experts. So i took it home and went to working on it again myself completing a TSB notification to modify wiring in the PDC ( power distribution center) to remove one of the emission protocol, changed the injectors to another set i had on hand along with also changing the 3 throttle body sensors. Everything in the emissions was now ready to pass smog, yippie! Well it is almost a year later and Im due for smog again, no problem right, it passed last year, a quick check with my scan tool and the emissions is not ready... I grab a can of carb cleaner spraying near each injector starting at cylinder 1, when i get to cylinder 6 the engine reacts so i do a smoke test and find a ribbon of smoke pouring out between the manifold and head at cylinder 6. to make a long story short the gasket they installed is leaking again and had been for some time, the jeep is now in a different shop getting repairs on the work done by Red Rock Repair that i seriously believe idid not need. There is a few more things i could add, but this review is long enough already. read more

They were realistic about diagnosing the Jeep and communicated with me through the entire process. I requested to have my F150 truck inspected for a trip from Las Vegas to WA. It was suggested to do an oil change ($155) as it would be cheaper than the inspection. I complied with the recommendation, however, the service charge after the inspection started to ramp up to $1,063 to replace worn struts, pressure checks the radiator (it was low on fluid), and replace the battery and air filter. I do not drive my truck often, it sat undriven for 7 months in the sun which prompted me to get it checked before the trip. None of which were severely damaged, but I complied with the pressure check to be safe ($190). After the check, they claimed I was leaking from a hose that they could not get a part for locally with an additional charge of $290. Furthermore, there was no leaking on the driveway where my truck sat. For each inspection, they texted my number with the inspection result claiming I was her. When I addressed that I was not my spouse, they immediately proceeded and told me she had told them she was my mother and her number was under my account. Which isn't something she would do, nor was remotely true. After correcting her, she told me that she was told this by my spouse and I was being rude because I told her I wanted to drop it after she spent 30 minutes on the phone telling me my spouse was wrong about the information given about my inspection after calling to check on the status for me as she needed to run errands and needed to give me a ride there to pick up my vehicle. Trish had called and spoke to me on my number about for 30 minutes prior to the pressure check where I muted myself and placed her on speaker phone while she recommended the expensive replacements. Point to this, they do not hold themselves accountable for their mistakes and lead you into expensive overpriced recommendations. Since I declined the repair request as I am related to a master mechanic and I am a certified aircraft mechanic myself, the lady Trish that made the accusations was very aggressive and angry that I did not follow her recommendations. I would not trust them to work on your vehicle if they can not hold themselves accountable for their mistakes. It's not their lives on the line but your own. read more

My check engine light came on so I called my go-to shop, Red Rock Repair. I was told to bring it in right then so I did. They diagnosed the issue and were making repairs when I mentioned my AC was not blowing cold. They diagnosed that issue too and sent me a text with the repair information so I could approve it. The text shows the cost for parts and labor. Love it. You can click on the text to approve the repairs. Since I added the AC fix my truck wasn't finished until the next day but for same day service I was totally fine with that. Picked up the truck, all is well. They are not the cheapest shop in town because they wont use cheap parts they have to warranty, but they are definitely cheaper than the dealer. I won't use any shop but this one. read more

This is a long overdue review for the outstanding and honest service I received at this shop. In 2012 or 2013, I had my '99 VW Jetta, on its last legs, towed here after cracking the oil pan on a rock in Death Valley. Without much local knowledge of auto repair shops in the area, we choose this place due to its high ratings, and it was one of the best choices we made on a repair shop. Being out of town with an inoperable car put my wife and I in a bind, and willing to pay a premium to get our car back on the road for the long trip ahead to the bay area. The owner at the time realizing our situation, without any prompting, prioritized our car's diagnostic and sourced and replaced the oil pan the same day within a couple hours at a very reasonable price. With a full queue of waiting customers, he had informed the next in line of our situation and they graciously agreed to pick their car up later since they were local and did not need their car right away. Throughout the diagnostic/repair he provided his honest assessment of the potential challenges ahead, especially since the car ran for a short time with little to no oil, nevertheless he accurately reassuringly assessed we would make it back home with no issue. Throughout our time at the shop, the owner was prompt, reassuring, friendly, and his team made a quality repair at a more than reasonable price. We could not ask for more. From glancing at more recent reviews it looks like ownership has since change. Hopefully, this review will make its way to the prior owner, and it looks like recent customers are still getting great service at this shop. read more

Came here for assistance chasing down a front end noise that I just wasn't sure was real or my paranoid imagination. I worked with two different gentlemen here (sorry I don't recall their names) and both were pleasant and helpful. They took my vehicle out for a test drive then brought it back and checked over all the usual suspects on the lift. They didn't hear anything glaringly wrong nor did they find any loose joints up front. They recommended I drive it a bit more to see if the issue is simply tire wear (I was late on my last rotation) or if anything more obvious develops.
