We came here after a long overdue massage! Place was clean, and relaxing! I will absolutely come back asap!

So today I wanted to try out their FOOT SPA experience. I told Nancy the areas that were tight on my body and that I would like a deep pressure massage if possible. She did a great job on the foot massage but all the areas were OK. When she told me to turn over I was expecting a hole on the chair so that I can put my face down, I had to turn my face to the side which did not make it comfortable for me. I've experienced other foot spa places where you can actually keep your head neutral when they massage your back. The other time I came here was for an hour massage. I did not enjoy it because of the hot towels they use after the massage. They also did that during the foot spa massage. I did not mind the oils/lotions on my body.. I give them a 2 STAR! I agree with the other yelper...they need to keep their voices down when they have clients...or better yet provide the clients with headphones with music so we don't hear them chattin. I don't mind paying a little bit more for a massage like Massage Envy (Milpitas). Still looking for a good FOOT SPA place in Milpitas. read more

I was visiting from San Diego and my cousin thought it would be a good idea to get a massage. TOTALLY DOWN! I've had this shoulder pain on my left side for the past few months and it hasn't gone away with any masseuse. Also, who wouldn't want a massage while they're on vacation? I did some research on Yelp for places to go to, but they none could accommodate two people at once for a last minute appointment. My cousin mentioned this place near her home, so we decided to start there. We were greeted at the door with the two options for a massage: Swedish or Deep Tissue. My cousin chose Swedish and I chose Deep Tissue. We were both escorted into our own rooms. My masseuse knew every point of my body that needed work. The only time she talked was when I asked her a question and started talking myself. Otherwise, it was a very quiet, relaxing, peaceful massage. She completed the whole hour v. the 50 minutes. After the massage and stepping out of the room, my masseuse gave me a cup of water (common courtesy in the massage world). I gave my masseuse a $10 tip, which is typical of what I would have done for a good massage down here in San Diego. She smiled and said thank you. My cousin tipped her masseuse $6 - she did NOT complain. For $40 + tip it was definitely the way to go. I have no complaints and would definitely come back. It was a good experience. read more

Not bad for a 'cheap' massage! ($40 + $10 tip) Most of the cheaper massage places are run down and unkempt. Harmony has a clean spa-like ambiance, though the rooms are not fully sealed and you can hear chatter next door. Fortunately the music played is pleasantly distracting. I had a 'deep tissue' massage with a professional masseuse, with minimal chatter involved. The massage consisted of back acupressure and then mostly back work; there was minimal leg or arm work performed. I was also pleasantly surprised by the warm towels used to wipe off the massage oils afterward. Do not expect a diagnostic massage for specific aliments, but do expect a massage that will remove stress from your day. Overall a good value. read more

I came here one morning to get a full body massage. The friendly receptionist gave me a list and suggested I get the Deep Tissue massage, so I did and paid $40 upfront for the 60 minute massage. The rooms looked pretty clean although I did notice a small hole on the ceiling and became a little paranoid but continued to get my massage. The masseues was a lady of chinese descent and she was very good , she discovered a knot on my right shoulder blade and tried working it. It was around lunch time and I can hear her coworkers talking about ordering lunch and I suddenly heard plates moving which I thought was funny and a little annoying. Although the music that was playing was relaxing enough that it did not bother me very long. After the massage I gave her a $15 tip and thanked her for a great job. This place is always trying to up sell you and the owner is always trying to talk over you. She will argue with the customers as well as the workers. This definitely is not the place you want to go for a relaxing time. I would definitely not recommend thjs place. Literally the worst massage I have ever had in my life, I am a licensed massage therapist so trust me when I say I understand that this profession is not easy. My wife and I came in for a couples deep tissue massage and we were both greatly disappointed. Both women hit bones in our back and hips and made it extremely painful. They were very unprofessional and couldn't even understand English which made it even worse when we asked for more or less pressure. In the middle of the massage both women left for almost 10 minuets with no warning. And when the massage was finished they tapped on our bodies and said "okay finished" As we left the room the three woman hovered around the door and pretty much demanded a tip. First time I had really good experience here! But the 2nd time I went back, I was pissed! We call and make an appointment around 3 -4 hours ahead. When we get there, the girl who work over there told me: I just called you our girl messed up the schedule so you need to wait around 30 minutes. She also said we can do one first so since he has to wait 30 minutes why don't you do 1.5 hours so you can finish the same time! And she will give me a hot stone for extra! Before I say yes, I told her I need strong girl to do my body cause i have muscles if the girl is not strong enough, she won't be able to help me! Front desk said: oh ya! For sure!! Guess what! The first 5 minutes, I already know she's not the right one so I told her I need someone else! NO! their answer is NO! ok! Fine! I really don't want to argue with them! And then when she use hot stone on me, SHE BURNED ME WITH THAT HOT STONE!!! My back was burned! I told front desk and guess what she said: on really! Sorry! That's it!! Nothing more! Got treated to a Mother's Day massage by family, Amy was the girl who massaged me and she was amazing. I got a deep tissue massage for an hour and it was heaven, I actually fell asleep during part of it. Everyone is super nice, very accommodating. I've been coming to Harmony for over 5 years. It's such a relaxing experience. Gloria (Manager) is always so friendly.

They have a groupon price of $35/hr, but everyone can get that price without going through groupon. When you called to confirm, they will tell you they are charging $35/hr. When you arrive at the store, they will ask you to do deep tissue massage, which is $5 more. My friend and I agreed to have the deep tissue massages. they requested us to pay upfront, so I had them charged on my credit card, the lady asked me to sign but leave the total amount blank. I explained to her that she can charge my card and I will sign and write the total amount with tips later. She insisted that I had to sign first and showed me other customers' signed receipts, those customers also left the total amount blank. We were asked if we wanted to be a shared room, we said yes. We got ready and lie on the massage bed facing down. When the two female masseuse came in, they talked in Chinese for a while, something like they would like to massage my friend than myself, (because I am a big lady). I felt a little hurt, but I understand that it is harder to massage a big lady like me. I wouldn't want to massage someone like my size if I was the masseuse. The massage was okay, the masseuse knew what she is doing. My friend didn't enjoy hers because the masseuse was basically just rubbing her instead of deep tissue massage. The masseuse also disappeared for a couple minutes to get hot towels and figuring out how to play a cd on the boom box. The the worse thing happened at the end. We finished massage and got dressed. When went up to the counter to write the total amount on the receipt. I put a $7 tip for each masseuse. When I ready to leave the place, the lady at the counter said, "oh $7 tip for each one." I said, "Yes, is that okay?" She said, "umm, it's fine, but normally customer pays $12-$15 per hour." I was surprised and said "really? people paying that much? that's like more than 25% and more tips." she showed an unhappy face and said, Yes. people do. In order not to embarrass my friend and myself, I rewrote the receipt and gave a $10 tip per masseuse. I felt very bad and I told myself not to go there again. read more

I go to this place whenever I need a massage, don't want to pay too much for it, and want to go to a place that is relatively clean and well lit. The phrase "you get what you pay for" really does come into play here. The massage is cheap and they are opened very late every day. Here are a few tips based on my experience: 1) Most of the masseuses do not speak English. If you want to get a massage that will concentrate on your shoulder or neck and you don't speak Mandarin, you need to inform the front desk so that the receptionist at the front can let the masseuse know. 2) If you get a deep tissue massage expecting for an actual deep tissue massage, you might not get it if your masseuse ends up being a beginner and only know how to rub your back for the next 60 minutes. Whatever your expectations are, please make sure to inform the receptionist to communicate to the masseuse unless of course you speak their language. Do not expect they will just know. Some masseuses are really good and some are just really bad. Know what you want and you will get what you want. 3) Tips: Most of them expect at least a 20% tip even if they did a horrible job. If might because the massage in general is so cheap. If you don't give them enough, the front desk will inform you to pay more and will prevent you from leaving until you give the masseuse more money. Its hilarious because you give the masseuse the tip, you see her count the money, report the money to the receptionist up front and the receptionist decides if the tip was reasonable or not. If it isn't, the receptionist will say.."she worked really hard on you, was it not good, you should give her more"...and then masseuse sticks out her hand for more money. Word of Advice: The definition of a tip is: a gift of money, over and above payment due for service. When the service is standard or sub-standard, the tip is less. Tips are also voluntary and should not be expected as required payment. If you require it, you should include it in the massage cost. 4) If you buy a groupon or see a online deal for them and think you are getting a discount, please be aware that you are not. The price on the groupon is the same as their regular massage price and during that period they just change their pricing sheet to reflect a really expensive massage and how much less they will give it to you for buying the groupon. So you are not really losing out but your not paying any less than someone without a groupon or deal. read more

for the prices you pay, the service is exceptional. the masseuses are very friendly here and totally compliment your body (ha ha ha) though the person i want says she doesnt do it (front desk) but she DID do me once and won't let me schedule her, saying the others are far better. but i beg to differ! i need to learn their names to request the same people. they are very professional here. there are tons of rooms, one couple room, and a lot of single rooms. there are few of those foot massage chairs. the place is really clean and neat. read more

DO NOT BUY A GROUPON FOR THIS PLACE!!! I bought a groupon for a 60 minute massage. I called and made an appointment. When I went there the extremely rude woman at the reception (she said her name was Jenny) told me that I cannot use my valid groupon and should pay her if I want to get a massage! So even after you buy a groupon they want you to pay extra. THIS IS PLAIN CHEATING!!! Please note that their groupon voucher mentions no conditions other than making an appointment, which I did. This lady just wouldn't honor my appointment no matter how much I tried to reason with her. When I asked to speak with the manager/owner she was taken aback and then told me that she could give me a 40 minute massage, even though I had paid for 1 hour (CHEATING again). I insisted on speaking with her manager but she wouldn't give me their details. At this point I was just tired and never wanted to come back but was stuck since I had already paid for the groupon. I agreed for a 40 minute massage but again a raw deal when after 30 minutes the same woman came in and told me its done. So basically I paid for a 60 minutes full body massage but all I got was a 30 minute back rub. The massage was just ok and definitely not worth al this trouble, when there are so many better options available. Save yourself from being cheated by this extremely dishonest establishment! (Updated 10/26/10) Yeah. I maybe spoke too soon and in search of a new massage spot. I think between the time that I started going here and the last time I went they switched management because my usual masseuse isn't there anymore and the receptionist is different. My last massage there...I noticed the masseuse kept checking the clock to see how much time was left. One hour. To the minute. When I had gone there before, I wasn't cut off. My masseuse would finish what she was doing or she knew how to budget her time better. I usually tip five bucks there. No one ever said anything to me before. Mind you...it's a tip. It's voluntary. You're not "required" to give one. This last time I was waiting for my cousin to finish up...the receptionist came up to me and asked how it was and I said "okay". She replied with "well...if you feel good you should tip more. Usual tip here is $10-$15." I was apalled,. So much, in fact, that I didn't find the energy to go off on her. I saw my cousin walk out of her massage room and basically said "let's go" and headed straight to my car. Needless to say...I won't be going back there. I might...just to have them ask for a bigger tip again and have me go off on them on the spot. OH hell no. They did NOT just mess with me. I'm hesitant to get massages because when I go to the Philippines, we have a masseuse that we know come to the house and do an hour full-body massage for roughly five bucks. So, when I see an hour massage cost anything over that I don't care to look into it. I have knots in my shoulders that have been building up for years. And I'm talking at least six years...and I haven't had the money to go get a massage. It has gotten to a point where I have decided that I need to get massages on a regular basis for my health's sake. As wih every other business on Yelp, there were some mixed reviews. I decided to try them out. After all, the worst that can happen is that it'll suck and I just won't go back there. I have been there three times within the span of two-three months. I wanted to go back sooner after my second time, but I had gotten a sunburn and was scared that the massage oils would aggravate my peeling skin. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to go back. When I made an appointment for my two cousins and I the other day, the lady that I had the first two times apparently doesn't work there anymore. I'll be quite upset if I find out this is a lie because she was really good. Regardless, I still left the place satisfied as did my two cousins who had been there for the first time. My knots are subsiding...and I have been patiently waiting for the day that I can finally say that. I will be back soon.... I don't like being chased after for a tip...never good form, but I have come to expect it. The establishment is dirty, the massesues lack professionalism (they will answer multiple calls during your massage session), and worst of all, they will give half-ass massages. These massesues will follow a routine and they will ignore instructions. Two way communication does not exist here. Even if they find your knots, they will gloss over them and not actually work them out. Bottom line: Don't waste your money here, this place won't help you find relief. read more

I took my boyfriend here for his first massage for our anniversary so I wanted it to be nice..it was in a super small place with price signs everywhere in the waiting area..when we got in our room, it wasn't that bad. Just like any massage place beside the fact that there were 2 windows covered with curtains which was freaky. He got a deep tissue for $40/ hr & I got the swedish for $35/hr..it started off okay until the lady that I had started breathing all hard, making it so difficult for me to relax...Also I got the swedish massage bc I wanted a soft massage, until she started to hurt me all over my back. I didn't say anything bc I thought I was just tense in those areas, but now I know she was just crasy. The day after my back from neck to tailbone is in pain!! After the massage, I tipped them and the girl at the front had the nerves to tell me to tip more money and I was liek okay, so I doubled it & she still gave me a dirty look! If you hurt me & breathed all up in my face, why would I give you 30% tip!!! ( that's what she asked for). And the last time I check I wasn't obligated to give you tip! my husband and I availed the couples massage for $69, so i set an appoinment 7pm but when we get there receptionist told us that she just scheduled one person only for that time and that we have to wait an hour for them to accommodate both of us. After all the argument we dont have a choice but to wait. massage is ok. ( so so) but when we're about to leave and hand them the tip which is more than 10% of the amount we purchase the lady is asking for more saying should be minimum of $10 each so basically thats $20. Harmony Acupuncture and Massage is definitely a 5 Star Health center. Every one of their Massage Therapist are excellent! I have been patronizing this place for the past 4 1/2 years due to several back injuries sustained. If you are experiencing aches and pain's, Harmony Acupuncture and Massage is your medicine Bar none! The staff is very professional and well trained. Their prices are more than competitive, they are incredibly inexpensive. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment. You will not be disappointed. P.S. Went in for a massage yesterday with a few friends. We went in not knowing what to expect. We were greeted and taken into the room right away. The massage wasn't the best but wasn't bad either. I could hear everything that was going on outside in the waiting area/ front which wasn't too nice. When leaving my friends decided to split the tip between both of their therapists and the receptionist ask if that was all the money they were giving. I love this place! I really can't afford to get a message as much as I need to, but this place hits a perfect fit for me price wise. It's nice, clean, and the two times I have gone It was the same lady and both times I walked away feeling so much better then when I walked in. Totally worth every penny. I have gotten Deep tissue and Swedish both were good, but I think I'm going to stick with Deep tissue because I don't get to go in as much as I would like to and I need some deep work.
