I am so glad I found Bob and his crew at Harold's Auto Rebuild. Our 6+ year relationship started by repairing my wife's Mercedes ML550 that I had bought from a dealership in San Jose. It needed some minor repairs to a quarter panel and door that would be very obvious if not done right. Bob gave me a great price and did Fabulous work. He has since helped with more minor repairs to my convertible and then a variety of more substantial repairs on my work pickup. A small shop on Rainier Avenue in Renton, just west of the Renton Airport. The owner, and the folks that wolrk there are friendly, personable, and good at what they do. I did some damage to both rear quarter panels of my 2021 Cadillac XT4, getting too close to a garage's concrete posts. Not a lot of damage, but noticable impacts to the body and the paint. They gave me a quote, and I took it in as scheduled. It was done within the time frame they gave me, and they were meticulous about their bill. The price was exactly on their quote. The work they did was excellent. As perspective, I had used them a few years back, to do some body work on a motorcycle with sidecar. Super job. This is a good place, owned and run by good people. Brought vehicle in for a dent repair and repaint. The work is decent (except for a bit of paint dripping and dust) given the competitive price. Reason for low rating: There is additional headlight damage upon pick up and no one was aware. Since it happened onsite (verified via drop-off photo), the shop offered to cover my insurance's deductible. But after the headlight was repaired (elsewhere), the shop changed its mind not to cover anything. read more

I had a 2002 White Honda Civic that was in an accident and had front end damage. I took it to a local shop and they said the front frame was slightly smashed in where it connected to the front bumper and that it couldn't be repaired! I then took it to Harold's and he said it would be no problem. I Got the repair scheduled and they got it done. The frame was straightened out nicely and the paint turned out ok. The price was really great! The only reason I am dropping a star is that after all the extensive work they did to the vehicle they never noticed that the the Y bar under the passenger side tire was seriously bent and broken. I even had it at the local les Schwab and they didn't notice. I actually noticed when they had the wheel off and pointed it out. Also, they painted the passenger door and there was a bit of paint dripping on the side. They claimed that it wasn't their fault but from a previous repair... come on... They were supper nice, they made sure my kiddos car seats were clear of class before they gave them back to me. My car was spotless when I went to pick it up. November 2018 Harold's Auto Rebuild did a really great job fixing the large dent I had on the driver'side, from being broad-sides, as well as some more minor dings and a long grove type dent on the passenger side, my 2015 Ford E350 superduty XLT looks brand new again, and Bob really saved me a lot of money, everywhere else I went, wanted to cut the entire side of the van off and replace it, with the money I saved I was able to make some other repairs, and I still ended up with some of my insurance check. Instead of having to pay $6000 plus, usually there's more than one way to do something, I only paid about $1800 for the original job, and with the other stuff I had him fix, I paid a total of about $3300. Bob, Dan and Al are really great and friendly guys, with excellent customer service. I also needed to have a new front bumper put on, which I decided to do myself, but that last bolt I couldn't get it to go in, and the radiator reflector I couldn't figure how to put back on, and they very nicely helped me out with that, as well as, with a broken shoulder belt on the drivers side, which possibly got broken when they were repairing my car, but they fixed that as well, without a problem. I was referred here by Thomas Car repair (Renton), the service manager said ask for Bob he is good and will treat you right. Bob sure did! He stuck with his price, very affordable very reasonable, and even smiled when the work was done. Old fashioned truthful and throughal work! My '84 Tercel wagon's frame came loose! Really loose, really scary. Bob Bridge Toyota refused to align the car stating it was dangerous to drive. YIKES! Bob saved my baby, he welded the frame back on my car, in SEVERAL places and she feels like a new car! I went back to Bob Bridge for my 4 wheel alignment and took her out on the road to Snoqualmie Pass at 65 MPH. She feels like new! Boy what a felling! Gotta LOVE an old reliable Toyota! read more

This is the greatest body shop ever. If every business was as honest and upfront as Harold's there would be no need for Yelp. I took my New car to Harold's after it had been damaged after owning it only for 2 weeks. The owner Bob went out of his way to try and save me money. He had a paintless dent tech work on my car to avoid doing a full repaint and didn't even charge me. Even though I decided to do a full rebuild of the car, Bob still tried to give me the option of saving money. After completing the rebuild my car looked brand new and it cost about 1/2 of what previous body shops have charged me for the same work. When you need your car worked on, this is the place to go! First, their quote for my bumper work was $200 less than the competition located just a mile away. The other guys said they would need the car two and a half days. Harold's said two days. They did the work in one day! They also took care of a couple extra little issues that we hadn't discussed, at no charge. The car looks better now than when we go it. Naturally, the actual charge was exactly as quoted. Somebody backed a full-sized pickup truck into the right rear fender of my 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD just as my wife was getting out of the car at her doctor's office. We were OK but there was a big dent in the fender just over the wheel and right up to the rear door opening. I got an estimate from a shop in Bellevue, they wanted to replace the fender and repaint nearly half the car for about 5 grand. Then I got an estimate from Harold's. Bob said he could fix the fender and only have to blend the paint onto the door and rocker panel, it would be just under $1000. I gave him the job and four days later the car looks like it just came off the showroom floor! read more

I had to have a headlight replaced in my car, I called Harold's up for an estimate and they told me it would be a pretty quick job so relatively inexpensive. They were able to work on my car right away. Turned out that some piece inside my car was rusted so what was supposed to take maybe 15 minutes took an hour as they had to do a lot of extra work. But they honored the original estimate even with the additional labor. On top of that, both people that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful and also went out of their way to assist another customer who was there while I was waiting. And they kept me informed of what was going on with my car while I was happening and showed me what the problems were. Overall one of my best ever experiences with a mechanic! read more
