    Rias rum punch

A few friends introduced me to Harry's Daughter this year. We went over early on a Friday evening and I wasn't disappointed. We only had cocktails but the drinks were delicious. I had two of the Rias rum punch and I had no regrets. Great tropical ambiance and quick service. Perfect place to catch up with friends and have conversation over drinks.

Arrived on a warm evening in May to find Harry's Daughter jumping on a Tuesday night. The interior is warmly lit with tasteful tropical decor. There was a live band playing old R&B with some newer pop songs sprinkled in. I started with a bit of sorrel - hibiscus tea for the unfamiliar - which was delicately sweet with a ginger finish. As to mains - I ordered the jerk chicken with pumpkin rice and cabbage. I also decided to be a bit decadent and order plantains on the side. Long story short - the food was absolutely fantastic. The chicken was moist with a kick that wasn't overwhelming. The accompanying rice and cabbage were delicious. Lest I forget- the plain rains were a caramelized delight with an almost orange flavored sauce. 10/10 would come back and look forward to doing so soon.

Horrible Customer Service!!!!! No consideration for customers that have been waiting for near an hour. Called to reserve and was told I had to come in to reserve . I called when I was close to make sure if there were seats and what the wait was told 15-20mins...come in and make the reservation. AGAIN. Finally get here and put our names on the list for 3 and told them I called. Then proceeded to wait from 810p to 9:25pm watching Tom, Dick, Harry, Suzy, Janet and Dawn...go in , come out, wait for others and go in with friends and still I wait. It literally rained, stopped and got so freezing cold and I stayed outside waiting with my mother and daughter. Thankfully about 45mins in a car was moving from the front of the establishment and I was able to bring my car and sit out front. Almost 9:30pm still waiting. Ok, finally got in at 9:35pm and got our drinks and some fish fritters (Fish Cakes), feeling a little more welcomed...thanks for the apology!! The food was good....music was excellent!! Got off to a rocky start, but we'll see how the night goes! Check was a bit much, even if you raised your prices...Mac wasn't a full entree size. Then you add your own gratuity assuming it won't be up to what you think it should be. You guys have to do better than that!!! Ridiculous!! After that check and treatment I feel like Harry's Red-headed step-child that he keeps locked up in his attic. Thanks Harry!!! Looking at the bill the day after...We Did NOT get a SORREL and it was added to the bill. It was three of us...2 Shirley temples & a Virgin Pina.. We also didn't finish until around 10:45pm. I guess the Sorrel was the Extra Unnecessary Cherry on top of a Bad Restaurant Experience. The $60 order we took home for my Boyfriend & son had such small portion sizes of the rice and plantains, the goat could have been much more tender and too much cabbage. Personally I could have gotten twice the amount of food for half of that $60 and better in texture variety. So you are literally paying for the party vibe, crowded club like atmosphere...it's truly just a tiny meetup spot!!! Final Assessment

This spot was on my list for a while. Finally got a chance to visit today. I will gladly be going back at some point. I'm from NY, so Caribbean food comes a dime a dozen. But living in NJ, it's been tough to find. This place was really nice. Good staff, good drinks, good food. The jerk Mac and cheese was a hit for me. Definitely enough to share. The oxtail were good. A little more fat than I like but flavor was there. The jerk egg rolls were pretty good too. The crab appetizer was spicy but also tasty. After tax and tip. We spent about $175. I miss the days when food wasn't this expensive. But, I enjoyed my time.

Amazing restaurant! The food here is so flavorful. You can't go wrong with any dish (I think). The service was excellent and the plane was cozy with a DJ. I had the: Salt fish fritters: 100% recommend. So so good. Absolutely love them Shrimp curry: super flavorful and filling.

I've wanted to come here for a while because of the videos I've seen on social media. A friend and I came here for brunch. The staff was very helpful and friendly. For appetizers we had the saltfish fritters and jerk egg rolls. Definitely recommend both of those appetizers. They were very flavorful and piping got when we got them. For my main I got the banana flambe French toast which someone next to me recommended because of how much she enjoyed hers. It was very good and it wasn't overly sweet or too indulgent. My friend got the buttermilk pancakes which I tried as well. The lemon maple butter really elevates it and take its over the top. In my opinion everything we had was a 10 out of 10. I would love to come back to try their dinner.

Returner here. Consistency is so important to me and they always deliver. We were there for Valentine's Day. Reservations were booked in advance so we were seated immediately. Tried a new appetizer this time- the beyond beef patties- just delicious. The patty crust and the flavor in the filling was amazing. But I also ordered the saltfish fritters again. They are always a hit. And the soup is another go-to that did not disappoint. I love the fish and pumpkin rice so I did not deviate and it did not disappoint. (chef's kiss). I did spot the curry fish on another table so I'll consider it for next time. The manager (not sure if she is the owner) stopped by to say hi and she even remembered us. It was a pleasant vibe with a mixed crowd while sipping on my delicious strawberry pina colada and dancing in my seat.

Food was rockin...ambiance was on point. We were glad we tried it. We had chicken wings, jerk egg rolls, shepherds pie (best my husband has ever eaten he said )... Our server was also amazing...we will go back for sure.

My partner and I come to Harry's Daughter all the time. And I can tell you that no matter what you pick from the menu, you're going to love it. The staff are always courteous and helpful. The servers are always on point and the food always comes out in a timely fashion. I always forget to take pictures of my meals because it's always so good but this time, I got yall! I had the oxtail and pumpkin rice. It was really good. My bf had the fish and chips which was good. We had the scotch bonnet honey wings and fries and roasted corn for appetizers and that was really good.

The food was delicious. The music was bumping and the staff were very nice. Let's get back to the food! I had the short rib bake and it was so savory. Also the hibiscus sangria was strong and tasty. Ok for the price this was also a win! I loved this place and I look forward to making my way back when I come to town.

Loveeeeee the coconut rum punch! I order two of them that's how good it was. Jerk chicken egg rolls were delicious, a bit spicy but good. The Mac and cheese was very bland, this was sent back. The honey wings did not taste good either. They sprinkled honey over some lightly seasoned wings. Curry goat was good! But I've had better. I think i would go back for drinks, apps and a vibe. They played good music. Our server was decent.

Came here for lunch recently and it was amazing! Lots of choices (at $12 apiece) to choose from...I had a jerk chicken sandwich and a beer. It was very good, slices of tasty chicken topped with Caribbean cole slaw. We sat outside which was very pleasant. We need to come back for dinner and cocktails sometimes soon...

They formerly had food. Last time I was there it only served drinks. That's a pity, I thought they had decent food service.

My prior reviews are under MP. When we first came into the Feathered Fox, the atmosphere appeared to have a much more sexy deeper color vibe, than previous years. Today, Damian was our wonderful server. Here it begins with Cocktails! 18.00 each: - Friend in the Meadow w/ Titos (Birdie glass with feathers). It had a lovely, welcoming and enjoyable sweetness. - Pineapple Grill with Casamigos Meczal. Tasted exactly like a mildly grilled sweet pineapple with suddenly a Kick! Entree Time! I ordered the Wagyu Steak and Scrambled Eggs $38.00. The steak was off the charts delicious. A side of lightly seasoned Foxy Fries accompanied the meal. All the items were prepared and seasoned beautifully. My Bf ordered the French Toast $19.00. It was made out of Chocolate Babka with maple infused syrup. He really enjoyed it. Dessert Finale! We shared a super delicious Lemon Olive Oil Cake $14.00. Toasted Meringue topped the cake. The cake was dense, but still moist and Very Lemony. Highly Recommend!!!! All throughout our meal, someone was coming around filling our water glasses. Definitely recommend The Feathered Fox! A large parking lot is available.

But I digress... - Little Gem Classic Caesar Salad: Even a run-of-the-mill commoner like this tasted noticeably crisper and fresher than many recent salads I've had. And the dressing wasn't loaded with cream, for a change. - Strigoli Seafood Pasta: Light, refreshing, seafood pasta tastiness with a small handful of scallops, crab and shrimp in a lemon-thyme reduction--I just could've used about 30% more of it to justify the $39 price point. This isn't the West Village..... - Classic Creamed Spinach: Too salty. Skip this. - Mashed Potato Rings: On the flip side, get this for one of the most unique and creative ways you can ever enjoy fried potato. Mmmm....I wasn't sure if I wanted to consume the starch or toss it onto a pole. - Passion Fruit Panna Cotta with Dulce de Leche: A spontaneous splurge, but we were well-rewarded with a tasty combination of bright gelatin, creamy dark sugar, refreshing lychee sorbet, and a smokey black sesame shortbread cookie to boot. Service was friendly and attentive despite the bust weekend dinner crowd and the fact that we were seated on the packed patio overlooking the lovely marina. The drinks we got were all lovely too, but sadly I can't remember what we got. The fresh salty air must've fogged my memory.

The drinks were good and the food was absolutely amazing. I had the steak tacos and flautas as appetizer and I would definitely come back I'm doing 4 stars though because our server was very argumentative and made our experience a little uncomfortable. The drinks took a long time to come and he took very long time to come to our table even for entrees and desserts. I first order El jefe and it was alright didn't impress me but it wasn't bad. My problem and disappointment came when I order a coconut Mezcalita with no agave. The first mezcalita was AMAZING. I ordered another one and just asked the server to switch the black salt for tajin. The server took the drink back 3 times and brought the same drink each time. I'm a bartender, the drink was regular tequila and not mezcal. The third time they pour some mezcal on it but did not even shake it. Also I knew it was the same drink because I licked some of the tajin and you can see it was the same cup. What really made me feel offended is the fact that I told him I know my drinks and he had the audacity to tell me "after too many drinks you won't differentiate the taste" now this was really offensive because I am a bartender and this was only my 3rd drink. I ended up asking a manager and he solved the problem. Other than this experience I would definitely return. I recommend coming I think is worth it and the food was absolutely amazing. El queso fundido was great , the regular guac lacked flavor but it was good and the tortillas felt homemade. Great desserts

The weather was absolutely ideal -- warm enough to enjoy being outside but still crisp, with very little humidity. Basically, rooftop weather perfection. The biggest draw here is, without question, the view. The space itself is beautiful, with a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, but seeing the Manhattan skyline illuminated at night is what makes this place special. It's one of those views that reminds you why people romanticize New York and the surrounding area so much. They offer a full food menu, although it appeared to be available primarily for guests seated indoors. The outdoor area seemed to focus more on drinks and lighter bites. Just know before you go: this is definitely a splurge spot. Everything is priced at a premium, so prepare yourself accordingly. Unfortunately, the service experience got off to a rough start. Both the security staff and hostess came across as unwelcoming and not particularly friendly. Whether they were overwhelmed or simply having an off night, it didn't create the best first impression. My biggest disappointment, however, was the restroom situation. By around 9:30 p.m., the bathroom was already in pretty terrible condition. Honestly, it was hard to believe it had deteriorated that much in just a few hours, and it gave the impression that it may not have been properly cleaned earlier in the day. Overall, Rooftop at Exchange Place delivers exactly what most people come for: spectacular views, a beautiful atmosphere, and an unforgettable skyline backdrop. Just be prepared for premium prices, a potentially lukewarm welcome, and hope that someone has checked on the bathrooms before you arrive.
